I am looking for a pattern for a scrubbie i was given by someone with whom i am no longer in contact. This one comes close. It's like a magic circle that maybe starts decreasing once it gets to size and makes a magic circle in reverse on the other side. As i learn to crochet, i am beginning to wonder if this really cool scrubbie isn't maybe a tube like this one... it doesn't spiral, about which maybe i am not particular? What i like about it is that it is bigger, loose and floppy, scratchy and in good shape after at least 2 yrs? I will try one of these and see if it will take the old one's place... thank you!
Sorry to keep bugging you, I just realized the reason mine was so much bigger is because I was using the J hook as it says on the yarn label instead of the 5mm one you are using. I’ll start again but I have a 5.5mm only, could you please tell me how much your finished strip measures on the tail side and the width measure too so I can adjust accordingly for my hook size? Thanks!
@laura3071934 you're not a bother! I'm not sure about the measurements before it's finished because I don't have that part made right now. But you can really use any size hook! I actually used a 5.5mm today when I gave you the 5" measurement. It's just slightly bigger than using a 5mm hook. I've also had people ask for an extra large one, so then I use somewhere between a 6 or 7mm, so it's really up to you with hook size 🥰
Hi, I’m making it with the same yarn and hook you are using, I’m at row 15 and mine looks like it’s going to be a huge scrubby. Could you please tell me what’s the diameter of the finished scrubby?
@laura3071934 Hi! I actually just finished one today. It's about 5" across. It's hard to tell when you're making the rows though, because they look super long, but once you sew everything together, it's much smaller
@@creationsmisfit Hi, I’ve finished the 23 rows and mine is 4.5” across so it’ll be ok I guess. I can’t wait to finish it! Thanks so much for your help!
@laura3071934 yay!! I'm so glad it worked out! And they get easier and faster every time you make them should you want to do another at some point. These are some of my best sellers and family always ask me for them too ❤️
Perfect tutorial! Thanks so much! ❤
@@chrissyinpa thank YOU! I'm so glad it was helpful 🥰

@@JulieConfidential-d6n hi! I'm not sure about the pattern you mentioned, but I hope this one comes close or works just as well for you! 🥰

@ thanks so much, you are so kind! I’m using the 5.5 hook and I reduced the stitches to 19 instead of 23. We’ll see how it turns out.
@laura3071934 awesome! I hope it works out well for you! Thanks for watching 🥰
It turned out great! About 5” in diameter! Thanks again 😊 I put photo and tagged you on Instagram
@laura3071934 awesome, thank you!! 🥰

@@creationsmisfit thank you! I’ll just continue to the 23 rows then.

Can you do this with 2 or more colors of yarn?
@rahrahsfabricsquilting4029 yes! You can alternate rows if you'd like.
