My favorite Disney movie. I don't understand how so many Disney fans don't appreciate this one. People who "get" why this movie is so great, are the true Disney fans.
@Joe Tapley I wouldn't be so radical. You can like or dislike certain aspects of a thing in this world, and still be a fan or disliker of the same exact thing. Excluding people from a certain fanbase only by the standard of appreciating a film/game/song etc. is pointless (again: not a bad thing, just pointless), because we are all entitled to have a subjective opinion. Hell, you can even like something that you objectively find not that good (for example: I found Star Wars Ep. VIII entertaining, although I also think it was a badly made movie, loaded with plotholes, contradictions, poor character-handling etc.). So, there's that, and I find it absolutely okay - because of this exact same logic - if you disaggree with me., since you are entitled to do so if you choose to. But I have to tell this about BROTHER BEAR: although I have always loved this movie, I think I only started to fully appreciate it after my little brother was born a few years ago. This doesn't mean that I wasn't a true fan for the film or I didn't understand the message, but, in my opinion, the weight of these messages were only able to catch up to me after certain circumstances occured.
I always been a Disney fan. I love the live actions one and the newer animation Disney. People these days think that Disney is running out of ideas. In my opinion na ah!
I will love, cherrish and defend this movie to my grave. It holds my childhood memories and I get weirdly emotional just hearing the music. Its so spiritual (especially the Native American songs) and inspiring. The whole movie and its story is so underrated.
did you see it at cinemas back in 2003? i did. loved it then. love it now. I to will defend it until I die. I'll defend anything and everything that i feel is worth defending really. and brother bear is one of those things.
Brother Bear made my relationship with my siblings better, i remember crying again and again after repeating this film a dozen times and i just get carried away with all the touching and meaningful moments. This film has taught me about life better than school
Came back to this vid literally because I missed my 2 siblings who I grew up watching this with. This entire movie is a trigger for an entire nostalgia trip.
I personally love this film more than that of Frozen and big Hero 6. All films focus on sibling love which i love. But Brother Bear doesn't limit brotherhood or sisterhood to people you are related to. Kenai gets to know Koda and realizes he needs someone in his life to help guide and love him, the brotherly love is just as pure and strong as Kenai's love for his blood brothers. And the theme of family in the Welcome scene doesn't limit family to blood either. And i think its very important and beautiful to show strong platonic relationships between non relatives to kids, the world would be a much loving and better place.
Yeah, I'm not sure, it is in the topic of this comment, but I have an idea for movie about boy, which found a better family in foster family. Would you like to know something more about that?
I think this is my favourite song of all time. A gorgeous melody, poetic lyrics, an inspiring message, Phil Collins and all the nostalgic associations of places past and happy times gone by that this movie encompasses -- yes, this truly is my favourite song ever.
Watching this movie feels like a knife pierced in my chest. My little brother died when I was 11 years ago but it feels like just yesterday. This movie will always remind me of him.
I'm sorry for your loss. He always watch over you. He watch out for you like guardian angel. He always in your heart and always by your side. He will be proud of you continue living by honoring him and continue honor him.
+Lara Čičak This movie is one of my favorites. :) I liked the drawings and songs when I was younger. I now love the lessons that are there and how hard everyone must have worked to make it.
Izzy Lebasi this is movie that I grow up with and I cry every time I see it. It's just too many memorier in my head right now. My brothet and I just started to talk about thrle other ooold beutiful movies that we grow up with😄
+Lara Čičak Yeah I'm the same with the Fox and Hound... T_T When she has to say good bye to Todd. Well that's nice looking back and remembering is fun (sometimes sad too).
Yeah it's just memories are coming back. Cartoons right now will never be the same. Just look like peapol think that frozen is the besr cartoon. Just go and watch this cartoon and your mind will change
I wish there was a way for people to enjoy movies without comparing or belittle other movies. Wouldn't that be wonderful?! You know what else started like that?! Religion! "My god is better than yours!"... And look where it got us!
Look Through My Eyes Phil Collins There are things in life you learn And oh in time you'll see It's out there somewhere It's all waiting If you keep believing So don't run Don't hide It will be alright You'll see Trust me I'll be there watching over you Just take a look through my eyes There's a better place somewhere out there Just take a look through my eyes Everything changes You'll be amazed what you'll find (There's a better place) If you look through my eyes There will be times on this journey All you'll see is darkness But out there somewhere Daylight finds you If you keep believing So don't run Don't hide It will be alright You'll see Trust me I'll be there watching over you Just take a look through my eyes there's better place somewhere out there Just take a look through my eyes Everything changes You'll be amazed what you'll find (There's a better place) If you look through my eyes All the things that you can change There's a meaning in everything And you will find all you need There's so much to understand Take a look (take a look) through my eyes there's a better place somewhere out there Just take a look (take a look) through my eyes Everything changes You'll be amazed what you'll find (You'll be amazed if you just take a look) Look through my eyes there's a better place somewhere out there Just take a look through my eyes Everything changes You'll be amazed what you'll find If you look through my eyes Just take a look through my eyes If you look through my eyes Take a look through my eyes

+taurus68 Don't worry. I remember watching it when I was younger as well. It was one of my favorite movies, and it still is. When I lost the DVD, I was so heartbroken because I loved it so much. But I'm glad it's now on Netflix. If I could give you a hug I would, because I understand what you mean about those innocent and great days. I hope, you have a great day.
Haha, I'm not judging you ^_^ I think I've watched this movie only once. I was at my friend's and I enjoyed this, when I was little. And somehow I remember it well. But because I haven't got much exposure to this one, I can't even remember that I've heard the songs. But I know I have. And now, at my "old age" (almost your age), I love Great Spirits... Some Disney (or other movies') soundtracks are just what one needs to survive life. I'm sending my hugs to you. Hope it's going fine.

This movie has one of the best soundtracks. Can easily compare with other greats like Tarzan, lion king and Mulan. Such an underrated movie. Back in the days where you didnt steal songs from other movies ( frozens "do you want to build a snowman" sounds suspeciously alot like "papa can you hear me" from yentl )
I kinda lost the frozen disney princess but she is kinda stone cold on the inside so I prefer brother bear and who knows obv my ex gf thinks she can do better well rien ne va plus se la vie english for fuck it I buy a giraffe ;)
LOVE IT!!!! And the fact that it is sung by Phil Collins... OMG to die for. Such a powerful meaning behind the lyrics of the song. There are millions of differences between everyone. Looking through my eyes tells you to look beyond the faces and try to see what is underneath and to see what other people see when looking at the same thing as you.
This is my favorite Disney film! I always tear up at the "No Way Out" scene. And the animation is just beautiful! I always describe this to people as "like The Lion King, but much, MUCH better." I just love it!

This film and Anastasia are two of the most underrated films ever, I absolutely adore them and so many people have barely heard of them despite them being amazing 😭
Phil Collins is absolutely brilliant and I admire him so much. He writes such beautiful songs and has an amazing voice. The songs he's sung for Disney always bring tears to my eyes.
I can't understand why people dislike this film: it has wonderful messages about the true meaning of family, tolerating and accepting those who are different, and treating well animals because they are like us on the inside.
My favorite Disney movie. I don't understand how so many Disney fans don't appreciate this one. People who "get" why this movie is so great, are the true Disney fans.
Of all the Disney movies this one was always my fav and it always will be 😍
i discovered this one later and it is really good !!
Same here! This will always be my favorite Disney Movie! Second is Tarzan.
@Joe Tapley
I wouldn't be so radical. You can like or dislike certain aspects of a thing in this world, and still be a fan or disliker of the same exact thing. Look Through My Eyes
Phil Collins
There are things in life you learn
And oh in time you'll see
It's out there somewhere
It's all waiting
If you keep believing
So don't run
Don't hide
It will be alright
You'll see
Trust me
I'll be there watching over you
Just take a look through my eyes
There's a better place somewhere out there
Just take a look through my eyes
Everything changes
You'll be amazed what you'll find
(There's a better place)
If you look through my eyes
There will be times on this journey
All you'll see is darkness
But out there somewhere
Daylight finds you
If you keep believing
So don't run
Don't hide
It will be alright
You'll see
Trust me
I'll be there watching over you
Just take a look through my eyes
there's better place somewhere out there
Just take a look through my eyes
Everything changes
You'll be amazed what you'll find
(There's a better place)
If you look through my eyes
All the things that you can change
There's a meaning in everything
And you will find all you need
There's so much to understand
Take a look (take a look) through my eyes
there's a better place somewhere out there
Just take a look (take a look) through my eyes
Everything changes
You'll be amazed what you'll find
(You'll be amazed if you just take a look)
Look through my eyes there's a better place somewhere out there
Just take a look through my eyes
Everything changes
You'll be amazed what you'll find
If you look through my eyes
Just take a look through my eyes
If you look through my eyes
Take a look through my eyes

Other than Tarzan, Brother Bear has to be one of my favorite Disney movies plus the soundtrack.
Funny because Phil Collins both of these movies sound tracks
*CRYING INTENSIFIES* one of the best Disney out there !!

What ever happened to 2D animation? I miss it.
disney probably deemed it "obsolete' because cgi became more advanced. personally i say fuck that. brother bear's animation/art and hand-drawn 2d animation in general has more heart and passion than most cgi animated movies today. they don't compare imo.
Brother bear has
More emotion than all these cgi frameworks put together
It wasn't making the studio much money not just Disney studios but other studieos aswell . So they stopped going it .
I miss it so much

better movie than frozen
I haven't even seen Frozen, but by its most popular song, I know I'm not missing out on anything huge.

This film and Anastasia are two of the most underrated films ever, I absolutely adore them and so many people have barely heard of them despite them being amazing 😭
Very underrated Disney movie while it has greatest impact to me. I guess story about family and redemption won't be the most popular.. Sigh.
You did a good job! And yes, all disney movies are good! The ones that teach a great lesson in life or the story line like Toy Story, Lion King..etc..

I can't understand why people dislike this film: it has wonderful messages about the true meaning of family, tolerating and accepting those who are different, and treating well animals because they are like us on the inside.
