I often heard that the the two happiest days in a boater's life is the day they BUY a boat, and the day they SELL a boat. I'm no sure how that works when you acquire your own fleet.
It is like new project inprogramming. You start another one because other one is pain to finish. At least it looks like this. I can't wait for the finished initial boat tho
Here in the US we have uTube channels dedicated to restoring old trucks and cars. You restore old boats with great history behind them and we get great entertainment. Appreciate your channel.
The My First Boat aquatic boat yard. I have to say that you have excellent taste for vintage boats. They are all of great quality, if a bit rough around the edges.
Please post longer videos. You can show the whole process of your projects rather than the before and after. Your channel is a big hit, we just want more of it. 😀. Thanks
@@bogus_not_me Longer videos containing more content is what people want, that is why you see most RUclipsrs that have a project channel produce videos that are between 25-30 minutes and some even post videos that are up to 1 hour long. You say you won’t watch them? Well maybe that is because you are not as interested in the complete build as the rest of his viewers are. In the bulk of my subscriptions, they are at least 1 hour long. Some people go exploring and you can’t possibly make an exploration video in only 15 minute. There is just too much to show even if it’s only one or two small places. Did you look at all the likes my post received? That means that including me there are at least 47 of his viewers that agree with me. 😃
Love this one extra boat purchase. I have the same problem, resulting in 4 Classic cars, 2 Classic bikes and one classic boat from the fifties. So no criticism here. Keep it up! 💛⚓️
love the watching! already looking forward to the next video. the fleet grows on. you have a good friend. your commentary is very captivating. great story telling. And that Tugboat was so gorgeous, gonna go back and watch that video again.
He's building a Navy 🤣 - I really like those boat designs. Classic boats never go out of style... and Steel hull.. Something that is incredibly rare in the US.
I think finishing the barge boat makes the most sense. It would provide the greatest living space and with fresh and dirty water tanks plus some form of heat it could provide a great home. I would think of putting a deck on top with fold down rails for extra space for entertaining. Don"t know whether propane heat would be okay on a boat, just my ideas of what I would do.
That’s a great new boat and I absolutely love the look with all of the Mohogany Wood and it seems like you got a very awesome boat and I can’t wait to see what you do with it so congratulations 🎉 enjoy 😉! Lee from Tennessee 😊
Whats that now 5 boats you own? Starting your own German Navy ? LOL. Sounds like your own floating B & B ! (Boating , Bed and Breakfast ) The B3 Motel ! LOL
Guest boat 😂 - man, you are fun. I look forward to see the more extensive restoration of that boat. It's stunning. The shape is awesome, and it's a great size.
I have a friend who is the same with Mitsubishi cars. In particular, the Magna. I am the same with wood. It seems we all, in our own way, collect something. 😊
@@kenholt8297 i agree but im not going to tell a grown man how to spend his money or what to do with his time. You can say that about every car youtuber with 30-50 cars and all are unfinished projects.
A very boat nice boat to add to your growing fleet in reasonable condition some work and you will have her looking great a very good job of the underwater repair see you next time
I think you have a bad addiction, addicts always say, " Just one more, it will be the last one " It is a fun addiction all the same, good luck with the new boat :)
Always waiting for your blog, what about the other boats projects which you were working are they over, because this video is after long time, correct ?
Any idea of the purchase cost ? Curious to compare with France. And very surprised you took the chance not to commission an expertise with hull thickness measurement before purchase. (less relevant if price was ridiculous of course), this avoids bad surprises... Such as much larger areas to refit than just your patch. When a hole is there, the nearby zone is rarely untouched by deep rusting... 😢
Am slightly surprised MFB that you didn't grind clean the hole on the inside and weld through to the patch to prevent damp penetration. Not taking you to task about it but something to bear in mind for the future :-)

They say that having a boat is two joys, one when you buy it and the other when you sell it.
Why are you looking for this much trouble?
Yes, everyone needs one more boat

My first boat... for today
Soon you can become an Admiral of your own fleet! Interesting new boat, your rebuild/restore plans will be fun to watch. Be well, be safe!
The bottom of the hull appeared to be very pitted. You might need more plating in due course.
So the boat was purchased before you had it in the water, ran the motor and checked for leaks? Must have been one happy seller!
