    Here are some tips
    U can buy the oil filters at Walmart here where I live there $8.50
    You can use brake clean after screwing new filter on.
    Good job 👍

    Great video instructions. I’m gonna change my oil myself on my 2006 Lexus ES330. My question is Can I switch to Full Synthetic oil this time? My car has been using conventional oil for its 235k mile life.

    • @goldentrucker7921
      @goldentrucker7921  3 года назад +2

      You can definitely switch. I'd go to a premium full synthetic high mileage. I do my oil changes between 3000 - 5000 miles

      @David Anthony Thank you for your advice. I will try that oil for my upcoming oil change.

    • @njsongwriter
      @njsongwriter 2 года назад +1

      Yes, you can. No need to use high mileage oil regardless of the odometer reading. If your engine shows no signs of oil consumption or no signs of excessive wear then you don't need it.

      @@njsongwriter Thanks so much for answer my question. Do you think 1 quart per 5000 mile is the sign of abnormal oil consumption?

    • @goldentrucker7921
      @goldentrucker7921  2 года назад +1

      @Toan Phan definitely sounds like you should use some high mileage oil. My lexus es330 doesn't burn any oil in 5k miles.

    Why would you remove the shield cover if you can access the oil filter from the top ?

      @@stevenw2866 so far I've done tires, brakes, and rotors all around. Valve cover gaskets, spark plugs. Last but not. Least Timing belt, and water pump. Drain and filled transmission pan. Also drain and filled power steering. Now it's my daily driver, work commuter. Very smooth
