Thank you! I've been doing one-arm push ups with the twist in my body for about a month now, and I kept thinking it had to be wrong. But sooo many online coaches show them like that. It's nice to see that proper form is achievable.
His method is great for beginner, but in the end you will want to do it without extending the other arm or spread your feet too wide apart. You are training your core, glute, and side muscle. The stronger they are, the less twisty you gonna get. By doing one hand pushup with minimal assist, that will force your muscle to work hard to keep your balance, and this is the ultimate goal. Just my 2 cents 😊
Thanks man! Been trying to get into better shape and I wanted to try one arm push ups but every other video just didn’t feel right. Was able to do this exactly as you said. Thanks for the great tips!
Thank you for the form suggestion. I was doing them w/ one arm behind my back and twisting my body on the way down. Eventually I got injured. Starting up again using the form you show in your video.
A great RUclips site,, But for those who don't have access to equipment; 1. Slow push ups, (10 to 20 seconds per rep). Till failure 2. Bulgarian split squat, done slow till failure Going slow will reinforce tension and joints while avoiding injury and failure will create growth/change in the body . Even a yoga belt used for overcoming isometrics will pile on the strength quick time
thank you Andry Strong more tutorial . I think it is the easiest move in calisthenics . Like always the perfect form mustbe trained😉. Thanks for help 🙂
Im doing it on incline sometimes Thanks for the video wil try these to Can u make a video for Bodyweight excerices from beginner to pro? And easy and hard forms from excercises😁
I do one arm one leg push up these day only. 30-40 reps a day, about to move on to one arm divebombers. I just have a question. Since I do the oaol push ups on the inner wedge of my feet in order to increase stability which allows me to turn this into a strength focused move... Am I missing out on anything core strength wise? I don't think the OG oaolpu is actually that good because the lack of stability often doesn't allow me to reach local muscular failure in the pressing muscles.
that mostly depends on your muscles, your core strength and how good you can balance with one arm. For me, I started with 20 reps of archer push-ups and then upto 40 reps, no more than that. I did that in conjunction with other exercises shown in the video (except for the fingers step at 2:50) in about 3 months before I can do one rep of one-arm pushup. For the sets, as i am busy with life, they were all random numbers throughout a day at random time. I did what i think was best for me in those specific times. Hope that helps.
