The video is actually in cartoon form about a dad staying home for the first time with the kids - while mom is at work. It is just hilarious - very different - and I think you'll get a real laugh out of it - plus it's a great song as well...........Btw - Girl Crush was VERY popular when it came out - you couldn't turn on the radio without hearing it 10 times a day.

You have to love any video that shows shoulders. With me, it's like a spinner bait to a bass fish. Shoulders, shoulders and shoulders, there's never enough. Of course, I may be prejudiced but it is shoulders after all. Then there's the music.

It's like a bro crush. 2 dudes hanging out a lot but not into each other and enjoy the same things. This girl wants to be like the other girl. So she can have the boy. So girl crush just means she thinks of her all of the time and wants to be like her. The old times take it to mean she has a literal crush on the girl and somehow the boy as well. But.... I've figured out that if you put it on a big TV, turn the subtitles on,... Then they get it. Nothing to do with her actually being into the girl. She is just crushing as the teens day now. Just means obsessed with someone and wanting to be like them. So I'm old now because Crush used to mean that you wanted to be boyfriend and girlfriend with the person. But my young adult children now tell me that crushing just means obsessed and loving it and wanting to be like it they were just a little ahead of their time
Love their vocals. I’ve read that she recorded this in one take! If you want a fun song by then try Pontoon. It’s a great little River song. I grew up on the White River abs we are called River rats. You’ll see why. 💙

Brett Eldridge was also one you didn't seem to recognize and he's really good, (Raymond, or I Wanna Be That Song). Chris Young was not in that video, but he's a really good singer as well, "Drowning" is an awesome song, or "Aw Naw). Love Girl Crush, but love anything LBT does, their early stuff like "Boondocks" was very fun. You have plenty more artists to pick from so please keep 'em coming!!!!

So I think most people have heard it by teenaged girls playing it over and over because they are so in love with Harry Styles. Check out his version. It makes the song different though. The perspective of a man and not a woman singing it. He doesn't change the words. So it hits different. But he does a great job doing the cover and not changing it much, he pretty much nails it. And made a new record doing it.
Harry Styles remade it 6 years ago and it holds the record for the most streamed sobe EVER. So lots of teens playing it a few years back. I think that's why it's a recognized tune. But, very different. Both are great. But the original is better.

Highly, HIGHLY, recommend that you check out Tyler Childers. I'm related to him through marriage and he has made quite a name for himself and I think you would be pleasantly surprised with how much soul is shown through his music.
