- In this video I briefly discuss where my engine was made and point out key features and components under the hood and around the engine compartment.
I have included specific details about the truck below:
It's a 2024 Ford Maverick XL AWD 2.0L EcoBoost with the following packages and options:
Equipment Group 100A
Tonneau Pickup Box Cover Hard Tri-fold
4K Tow Package
Ford Co-Pilot360 Package
Bedliner - Spray-in
Color: Atlas Blue Metallic
One You Tuber claimed that there have been fewer problems with the VEP engines and that most of the previous generation head gasket issues occurred on the USA made 2.0l ecoboost. Who knows.
It will be very interesting to see how these engines do in the future. I'm hopeful. 🙂
@@c.a.r.s.carsandrelevantspecs My daughter in law has a 2016 Fusion with the earlier 2 liter turbo with over 250,000 kilometers on it and has no engine mechanical issues to date. It is the earlier version where some engines had head gasket problems. Touching wood.
@@Bob-xc2us That's great to know! Thanks for the info. 🙂👍
The Oil from the Ford factory is "break in oil" / After 1K-5K Change to fully synthetic oil is fine!
There is a coil that looks complicated to remove.
@@ElBlogiante Good observation! 👍
Yes. One of the coils requires the high pressure fuel pump to be removed or possibly swiveled to the side. Not a very big deal.
