    I’m so proud of you baby for sharing this and speaking out. This is why our son will never go into the biz unless he decides to pursue it as an adult. It sickens me that this still goes on and what you had to go through. I’m glad we left.

      Thanks for being there for me through everything my love. We’re going to raise our son the best we can and put our family first.

    It seems to be able to get out of “Hollywood” unscathed is an absolute rarity. I am thankful for your words of truth . Though you left the “glitz and glam” which we know is a deception and a snare, please consider this an absolute blessing!

    This is only the beginning Scotty. The horrors of Hollywood are starting to come out one after another. Buckle up. Thank you for raising awareness, and thank you for telling your personal stories. My heart goes out to you. JD Coburn would be proud of you. 😊

      This is Chris with the motorcycle. Dunno if you remember me. I think JD moved to the pacific islands. I think he passed away. Lost contact. Keep up your good work Scotty and Gina! @@ScottyDunn

      Chris T! Yes I very much remember you man. The mystery is solved 😆. It’s great to hear from you. Let’s stay in touch. Thank you. Stay well and I hope we can cross paths again in the future. It’s been too long!

    This was so poignant and important to hear from you. Thanks for the vulnerability and strength it took to share it with your community. You were ahead of your time for knowing not to go with what that life “offered” you. It’s extremely sad that parents don’t always protect their children, whether it’s malicious or out of ignorance.

      I appreciate you saying that. It’s been worth it. And I don’t feel like it’s hindered my creativity at all. It’s the opposite in fact. Having a kid has opened my eyes so much more. I want to protect him as much as possible as a parent.

    I just finished the documentary-series and was sad and shocked at how much you child stars went through. I’m glad that you were smart enough to get out of Hollywood and able to raise a healthy family away from all that.

      My hope is that this stupid abuse and behavior becomes a shameful part of the past and that artists just make art. It’s not that hard. It’s actually baffling how steeped in this crap Hollywood has become. Thank you, I’m so glad I can raise my family away from all of that.

    The fact that Hollywood hated the film the sound of freedom kind of says it all. Thanks for this video man!

      Exactly. You’d think they would be happy that the movie made as much money as it did.

    Well articulated and presented. Only just found your channel. Amazing stuff. Im a massive film/tv nut. I grew up with it. I was in the television industry here in Australia, and was fired early on for “not being available sexually (sic)” for the company’s manager.
    Thank you for raising this, and your candid and personal experiences. Ive not told anybody about the shame of ‘failure’ in tv. I could have gone on into production as id intended, but was cut off by a predator.
    Keep up these amazing behind the scenes, funny and illuminating shorts. Cheers mate!

    I haven't seen the documentary and I don't really intend to. I've been fully aware of the dark Hollywood underbelly as long as I've been wanting to make movies. Personally, I blame both the parents who enable this and the people in power who abuse it. It plays a big part in why I make the cheap-o low budget movies that I do make. I didn't want to go to Hollywood, I was happy making movies in my backyard with people I've grown to consider my friends.
    By the way, you should look at the list of people who signed the Roman Polanski petition.

    • @ScottyDunn
      @ScottyDunn  5 месяцев назад +2

      The parents have to take responsibility for putting their kids in these situations for sure. It’s maddening. I think it’s good you’re making movies your way. I think a big part of the future is people making their own content. Why even say the future? It’s happening now. That’s why RUclips is so huge. Ppl crave authentic and human stories and humanity.

    It's quite sad with what happened with Nickelodeon, Disney and other huge Hollywood companies. I am sure Quiet on the Set won't be the only documentary coming out to speak out this.
    In my opinion I don't see you as a failure. Pursuing your own content is nothing but success. A lot of people talk about ideas and seek funding but never actually get their films made. So to me, you are very successful.

      LOL. As if child diddlery is their biggest problem. While that is certainly horrid it's not their worst. Their biggest problem is sensitivity readings, inclusivity sessions, and the inability to put out a product that makes people want to watch.

    I grew up a huge Bill Cosby fan. He was my role model. And I thought he was the funniest guy ever. I still he was the funniest guy ever. But needless to say, my world was destroyed a decade ago when the allegations against him came to light. And after that, nothing I hear that goes on in Hollywood shocks me anymore.

    Hey man I'm glad I found your channel, I just randomly stumbled on a video of yours, and then I asked myself in my head "Hmmm, isn't this the guy who played the Prince turned Spy in Kickin' It?". I hope you excel in both your professional and personal life. I'll be looking forward to your content.
    P.S. Idk if anyone ever told you this, but you look a lot like the UFC fighter Liyoto Machida 😅.

    Marella Canfield-Jones would be proud of you. My sister wanted to be a Star back in the 1990s, I remember her coming back a different person. Marella left my world in 2019, and she was acting and such in 1993 to 1999.

    It's all very very very unfortunate and disgraceful that these offenses occur in Hollywood. But sadly, they do also happen in most every profession, even in the church where all young minds and bodies should be safe, but certainly are not.
    In many of these cases I can't help but suspect that the parents were neglectful or even sold their own souls through their children for monetary reasons.
    People have only the power we provide them and allow them to exert.

    • @ScottyDunn
      @ScottyDunn  5 месяцев назад

      Yes this is a wide spread misfortune in many professions sadly. It’s good that more light is being shined on the darkness that’s going on.
