We've done the carpenters extrastep printed side down before. I think the reason is when it is uplifted in the future it comes up cleanly but the other side leaves lots of the foam stuck to the floor. That's what I was told.

Felt pad and woven goods can often act like Velcro. I've always worked by myself. Positioning carpet can sometimes be a bit difficult.
Many many years ago I discovered that buying a roll of medium weight plastic sheeting can make the process a breeze. I'll cut the width of the retreating into six or even 10 ft wide strips and place those on the floor before unrolling the carpet. You don't need to butt the pieces of plastic so that they totally cover the floor. You can leave 6-foot spaces in between them. Once you unroll the carpet on top of these pieces of plastic sheeting, moving the carpet interposition is a breeze. The carpet will slide around like an ice cube on a hot skillet......... Okay maybe a slight exaggeration. 😁
Anyway, once the carpet is exactly where you want it, just pull the strips of plastic out from underneath the material.
Without the plastic, you might be tugging and pulling the carpet and stretching it unintentionally.
I have always hated deadlines, so I wouldn't touch the type of work you're doing with a ten-foot pole....... I convert that to meters, but I'm from the United States 😁
You guys do beautiful work and I really enjoy the craftsmanship and details you show. 👍

May be they give 2 different advice how underlay installed because of subfloor. Yours is concrete and ours was plywood and hardboard ? Is that reason?
They told us printing side should be facing up and yours should be facing down ?

Question bro, I've watched your video explaining the Geordie Q9 grippers, any reason why you didn't use those with the 10mm underlay? Also bro wouldn't a rubber crumb underlay work much better on a high traffic masjid?

How come you didn’t use the loop pile cutter? Never fitted that width carpet before but guess it’s similar to an Axminster?

Don’t work the way we wanted. So more control with the knife.

Here it's is our video of durafit system. We installed the underlay printing side faced up ..that's how the manufacturer advised us ...but they have given you different advice and ways to install the underlay..printing side down ..?? May be because your subfloor is concrete and our one was plywood...

always found it strange that you would put the writing facing down
seems to just hide the name where as if it was up people could see who manufactured it at least untill carpet went over it
ive never liked rolling the glue out i just use a flat sided trowel less mess and a bit quicker ✌✌

I don't understand why you guys walking around on the carpet with your shoes on

    • @TrimTuckCarpets
      @TrimTuckCarpets  Год назад

Atif. It is a commercial site.
Our shoes are not dirty, it’s a health and safety issue if we allow our installers to work without shoes.
We make sure our shoes are clean as all we do is fit carpets. We’re not working anywhere else other than on carpets.
