- Here's my quick take on the Nintendo DS. I know it's not a full review because there can be so many other positive things said about the Nintendo DS, but I tried my best. I hope you guys enjoy. Let me know what you think.

Well i have both :3 the ds lite is pretty cheap right now, I bought a second hand in mint condition...
back in year 2010, this is the coolest game console or gadget that i ever had.

im going to buy one of these again. the nintendo ds lite times where the best. playing mario kart, mario party and many other games with friends whas so much fun. even though my friends dont own a nintendo anymore playing solo is still fun af. i just need a r4 card and im good to go

past days, i chose ds over psp, then 3ds over psvita. and until now year 2022, i still playing ds and 3ds games. and those games... never gets old.
I got a white DS Lite today with a game, a case and a charger for £19.99!
TheDesden Steal of a deal, I got mine with a game, a case and backup cartridge no charger for £5.16!
I got a pink one for 17.50€

I have a Nintendo DS Lite and a Nintendo 3DS XL. Both are fantastic. My DS Lite is red and my 3DS XL is blue.

i used to play pokemon red/blue/yellow on gameboy color when i was 10. 12/13 w/e years later pokemon is still the ultimate hand held game son! really want one of these just to start playin em pokemon games again. thanks for actually showin gameplay too man

I have the same DS Lite, in white. I bought it when they first came out, in 2007. I have a really cool hard plastic case for mine. It holds the DS Lite and three DS games. The "shoulder" buttons on mine have darkened a bit, over the years, but it's not hugely noticeable. I'm also using the same battery. Admittedly, I don't play it a whole lot, but every now and then, I'll dig it out for a game.

I am getting this for christmas! Was deciding whether a DSi XL or a DS Lite. But since asking for an XL is a lil bit too pricy from my aunt. So I got the Lite!
I like the fact we can play GBA games too

I got the ds lite fat ds and psp-1000 back in the day, they all still work and i never bought another portable console since then😀

I've had mine for around 11 years now and it still works really well. I'm looking into buying a 3ds soon though

DUDE!!! since this review is so awesome, and I can't decide if I should buy a 3ds or a ds lite, I came with a conclusion... I'll buy both of 'em...
In my opinion, the white DS Lite is the best looking color that there ever was for the DS Lite. It's so sexy!!! I definentely need to downgrade though. I have a black DSi and while I like it and all, it does not have a GBA slot and I still play GBA games. Also I actually prefer the shiny glossy finish on the DS Lite to the matt finish on the DSi.

I bought a DS lite yesterday to specifically for playing gba games. Nowadays a GBA, be it SP or Micro, is more expensive than a DS. It's ridiculous. Thank you for turning the screen on all the time. It assured me that the screen quality blows any GBA away.

My older brother also had a polar white DS lite that had a broken bottom screen (the bottom screen was still turning on, but just except that it wasn’t working as a touch screen anymore for some odd reason)

I remember when this came out and I was almost late for work because I picked this up! When I got home I played it nonstop and sold my psp 2 days later
Hi my birthday just passed i am now 29 years old and i have a nintendo ds not a lite but it look's like that one kinda i love mine you are never too old too have a good time. :) i grew up in the 1990's i was born in 1984 and always loved nintendo i use too play super nintendo when i was young

Now I am confused... the DS Lite came out in White, Black, Pink, Ice Blue and Red (no Mario symbol, no black-on-bottom)
Where are people getting things like red with Mario symbol and Blue with Black on bottom from?!

Yes this model does support gba games but so does the dsi and 3ds via virtual console
Still got my silver one. Dpad doesn't work, but with the amount of Mario kart, Mario 64, and new super Mario Bros I played, it's no wonder lol
@alijahj too bd you can't experience super mario 3d land or mario kart 7, those are great games for the 3ds, along with many others
To be honest, all I game on nowadays are on a GBA SP(AGS-101), DS Lite and NEW 3DS XL.
Thesmashdoctor uses that same outro format for his videos :P
Region free, gba slot, better games than the 3ds and better hardware design. The best Nintendo handheld till now

I recommend the 3DS, but if it's too much money the DSi is significantly cheaper nowadays
i disagree when he says psp is better. i had a psp before... the games were really short and i just got sick of most games i played. now i own a DS and it never gets boring! i love RPG games and NDS has lots of RPG titles. most of them are awesome! Both PSP and DS are awesome consoles. the choice is up to you and what kind of gamer you are.

used ones go from $20 to $40, if you want it to play gba games then I would recommend it.

this is the second best ds but 3ds tops all!!!!!! its got gamecube graphics and the games on it are amazing like ocarina of time, super mario land 3d, star fox 3d,and a bunch of games are comin out like mario kart luigigs mansion, super paper and sonic generations
i had alot of trouble conecting to nintendo wi-fi with that type of ds.
