i would love to see this combined with an impossible map generation, like imagine the only expansion path form a small pocket being a doomtown backed up by a cluster or 2 of giants
Total of 46 Giants, beat in 1st try. Next challenges: x2 zombies or x2 waves or Harpie Den. May be later rebeat with either mutants or extra giants at Final Wave.
Two question came to my mind just now. 1. Can you ever get a mayor for tech you already have? Can you get a Market tech mayor despite already having markets? I've never seen it happen, so I guess it won't 2. Can you change the random landscape creation patterns? How much forests there are, how much water, oil, gold patches etc. How often a forest tile follows up on an existing forest tile etc.
only thing I would like to see in this game is the sound made from mutant attack and giant attack swapped. A giant attack should be loud and attract all sorts of a mayhem. The mutant attack however....very wolverine like...silent...quiet.
Liking the modded survival maps so far, would be good to have 8 times mutants+giants, double zombies in map, double waves sizes along with 2 directions at once. Would be an ultimate difficulty mode. Final wave would need to be insane as well, would say double zombies and lots of mutants and giant's.
as a challenge this doesnt make much sense to me, taking away mutants makes mid game much easier, and once you have a big army giants are pretty easy to take care of, doesnt matter if theres 5 or 50, its not like you pull them all at once. would be more interesting to see this same concept on a map with more limited resources, in my opinion.still pretty cool though 👍
Survival Enhanced is a good idea, I think. Edit for less food or whatever for additional difficulty. Is there a way to give mutants the behavior of harpies or runners or a different mob? Something to make them slightly more predictable and more of a mini boss?
On day 15 Bob the soldier was outside of the walls having a cigar break while offing the occasional walker. Then he received the order from Command: "All forces to the Eastern Defenses! They're attacking the walls! They're trying to break through!" Squashing the last of his cigar underfoot, Bob turned to find *some idiot* had erected a wall behind him and locked him out. Sighing and shaking his head he checked his remaining ammo and set out on the long trek around the Colony to join the fight in the east. On his journey he single-handedly eliminated every single Mutant while whistling "My Old Man's A Dustman", fondly remembering last night's "Dirty Lymerics" karaoke. Upon Bob's arrival at the Eastern Defenses he realised he was too late and the fight was over. *That idiot* had been here too and he was solidly locked out by yet another wall. Spying some buildings in the distance he turned away from the wall and set out to ask someone for directions. On day 65 Bob made his final stand taking on the Doomtown by himself. He will be remembered. 🪦

I have always found it weird playing on highest difficulty, and yet there is not a single giant in the last wave.
There are plenty, if you don't manage to clear the map beforehand.
