HOW TO HARVEST YAQONA / Fiji Village kids “pulling grog” 🇫🇯 🌱

Here we follow my namesake and his friends as they head off to the yaqona farm to “pull grog”.
We see how tough and physical this work can be, and often it can take up to an hour just to get to the farm.
The boys show the various stages of harvesting the plants from clearing the weeds, carefully revealing the shallower surface roots, before loosening the soil around the plant then the final pull… and then the root ball needs splitting and a quick clearing of the soil before then taking it all back to the village to be washed ready for drying… you can see that process here
