This. THIS is what baseball is about, and THIS is what I love about the jays and every game I watch.
same
Jays are in fourth place.
@@veritasinvicta8128 So what?
Rigged
@@veritasinvicta8128 tristan is right, what does standings have to do with any of this? A game like this is worth celebrating even if they were the bottom of the league.
I’m just glad to see MLB being played in Canada.
Oh, hey there Zack!
So... will you be coming up here? :))))
Hopefully the Yankee series! (Since I'll be there)
Agreed!
Eeehhh
Without a doubt this was the best game of the year for the blue jays.
you got me with that name home ngl
Was just saying that out loud.
This for sure. The one with the clutch Springer 3 run HR was insane as well
Yup hopefully it sparks them and it’s the beginning of something special
This and the game against the red socks with the springer home run
They really had to mention CLB😂
Drake from Toronto
MLB trying so hard to keep up with the times lol
Lmao the album was so bad 4/10 at best
@@gnarf250 its because drake is from toronto
They did it for the algo. So pathetic.
I was at the game for my birthday what a special night. This is why the Jays are the most magical team in baseball.
Happy birthday!
HBD, Buddy!
I love you
Happy birthday dude! Glad you got to experience this crazy win!

I was there the night that Edwin hit the walk off home run against the Orioles in the Wild Card Game a few years ago. There was about 46 almost 47K fans that night. It was deafening when he hit that home run. I mean the building felt like it was shaking. If you ever get a chance to experience something like that in your life, embrace it and remember it. It was the loudest I've ever heard that place.
@@Glimjii it was one of four walk off home runs ever hit in a win or go home game
the others being Aaron Boone in the 2003 ALCS, Chris Chambliss in the 1976 ALCS, and Bill Mazeroski in the 1960 World Series
I'd reckon the excitement would be palpable
love the jays commentators, they just stay silent and let you absorb the atmosphere
Shulman and Martinez are the perfect mix of "professional excellence" and "old-timey-life-in-baseball"
Smart & experienced commentators simply know when to talk & when it's time to shut up. Some get carried away thinking people are tuning in just to hear them talk.
Only when Dan is running the booth. If both buck and pat are in there together I can hardly listen anymore
@@brentemigh2753 Perfectly said, Dan is the best announcer to ever come out of Canada and Buck also is a fine play-by-play man as well!
Most annoying that's for sure

My first ever time going to a blue jays game and I was traveling from Halifax. Safe to say this was worth all the money even without a full house
Marcus Semien is the 2nd former Oakland A's player in recent memory whose career immediately went on an upward trajectory after joining the Blue Jays.
The 1st one? None other than former AL MVP Josh Donaldson.
I hope there is a third one (Chapman).
@@IAmGrum yep its happend
Mannnn if there were no restrictions, the Rogers center would be sold out 45,000+ every night! This team is electrifying 🔥
I went there in 2016 when they had Donaldson, Bautista, etc. and those fans were crazy. Almost 50,000 a game when they get back to 100% no team in the AL is going to want to come there.

@@Hockeyhobo89 why not?
@@Hockeyhobo89 Oh I get it man's about to get paid, especially that Ray is also about to get paid, so they'll have some choices to make if they even try to keep either one.

The Yankees or Dodgers will be all over him next year.

10:21 that camera angle showing the CN Tower makes that homer even better.
gotta love that it's literally next door to Rogers Centre, I've literally walked the distance between, and having it looming overhead is probably the best feature of the ballpark, moreso than the retractable roof
The Jays are currently capped at 15k fans because of Covid restrictions.
Imagine how that would sound with 50k
It would probably sound like October 14, 2015. 😁
It would've been insane! I was there when EE hit the walk off home run during the wild card against Baltimore
To bad our government is fascist. Sad.
Two absolutely CLUTCH home runs makes the city explode. That’s why I love sports.
The best game I have ever watched in my life
Such an amazing game!! The energy in that ballpark is unmatched!
Jay's wanted it more. Hat's off to this team for a completely insane offensive performance. If they make the Playoffs, I'm pretty sure American League opponents will be a bit nervous with the Jay's bats. Go Brew Crew!!!

Blue jays win big!!!
the grand slam was a real kickass
MLB watch out! because we are in playoff mode, every team has that moment in a season, and ours was tonight. #LET'S PLAY BALL!!!💥💥💥

Great game.
Posters on the way
I went to the game and when Gurriel Jr. hit that grand slam. I never knew that a crows of 14,000 could be so loud.
4:40 Springer with the clutch double on a pitch that was in the left hand batter's box. What a batter.
8:33 Romo thanking God after giving up a 3-Run homer. Lol
Win or Lose some times you just gotta thank god for the opportunity
Romo just has a thing for letting the jays walk it off against him they did it a couple years ago when he was with Tampa
I remember that game was also a comeback from 8 runs down im pretty sure and it was the end of 2018 season. Baseball can be wildly coincidental 🤣
Thank you MLB for posting games on RUclips...love it!
That was a good comeback by the blue jays 6 runs in the bottom of the 8th
Good comeback? 9 runs in 1.1 innings?! More like RIDICULOUS!!!
They've also caught Oakland's bullpen in a bad streak
Understated. Yes it was good - one might say it was great, even. I mean, not only did they score 6 to tie, but there were two out and nobody on base to start the inning. That’s pretty rare.
From the bottom of the heart of a Mariners fan THANK YOU!!!
and keep it up tomorrow and Sunday
@@3SailorMartin oh soooooooooo no world series for you then? got it
They went on to sweep the A's & then yesterday demolished the Yankees, 8-0 (with Semien hitting 2 more home runs, including a grand slam of his own).
This game-winning bomb could very well be the turning point to propel the Jays into the playoffs. Only time will tell.
Sadly they missed the playoffs by 1 game😔

Man this game sparked what was to be a crazy tear to end the season. Turned their season around, and if MLB had the current playoff rules in place the Jays would have made it. As a Jays fan its so painful to know they won 91 games, but didn't qualify for the playoffs.

That is the kind of win that could spark an incredible run that leads to a place in the playoffs. Gurriel with 3 Slams?? How did I not notice this?? Wow ! Now they needed the slam to tie the game .. then a 2 run bomb in the top of the ninth by the A's and the Jays come back with a Marcus Simien 3 run walk off. That felt like the teams bats woke up finally!
You were right about the incredible run
@@Warratron I hope this doesn't sound arrogant but I have been watching MLB mostly my favorite team the Toronto Blue Jays but being a guy who played in the minors briefly, I just love baseball and follow the whole league as much as I can and I have seen teams like the Blue Jays (the Jays being here before) have a won't quit-won't lose rollercoaster ride to an eventual W. I have also seen a team get beat so badly that it woke them up in time for a run. I am happy to see this VERY young Jays squad be ahead of schedule and that is thanks to Ross Atkins getting the right guys to help them become a winning Ball team. Springer despite his lack of time in the lineup has been huge showing these young fellas to balance their youthful exuberance with being consumate professional. Marcus Simien has been a leader by example. My favorite trade was just before spring training and that was getting Steven Matz I knew he would be a good guy in the rather anemic looking rotation. I was also baffled by the decision to wait for the date when you can bring guys up without losing one year of service time with Alex Mahnoah. And then getting Berrios at the deadline was perfect because now they are a top 5 team where the rotation is concerned, a bullpen that has settled down and is now in good shape, and of course they have the best offence in the league ... This team is going to the playoffs. Furthermore they are going to be the team that represents the AL in the World Series, from that point it's a toss up between them and the Dodgers.
However the year ends up, it has been a most entertaining year for us Blue Jays fans.

As an A’s fan this broke my heart especially semien being the one to land the final blow... 😔
A’s bullpen having a little trouble lately. Barely escaped last Tiger’s game.
@@YuriBurgundy yeah there pitching has been too inconsistent
As a Tigers fan, thank you Semien
Indeed
Kid on right side, 2nd row:
6:20 count 1 and 2, he's wearing his blue Blue Jays jersey.
7:40 count 2 and 2, suddenly he's wearing a red jersey, focused intently on the at bat
8:18 as Semien makes contact, the kid is immediately standing and removing the jersey -- his own personal walk-off ritual, I presume
This team is really special. Really hope they get another year together. They are such a fun team to watch.
Pretty similar to the comeback against the Rays in 2018
Jays down 8-2
Gurriel Jr. game tying home run on 1st pitch with 2 outs
And unfortunately for Romo, he blew a 2-run lead in the 9th, capped off by a walk-off homer
What a great comeback
What a way to walk it off
Semien dinging that 3 run shot - no 34
And coming back like that is unreal and no better place than Rogers Place
Go Jays
Guys like Romo although very talented at generating movement just simply can’t perform against teams known for not chasing at a high rate.
2.97 career ERA, and effective in pressure situations against playoff teams who don't chase at high rates. He's getting less effective as he ages, which is normal, but this comment is absolute unsubstantiated bullsh*t 😅

kids, remember never leave a Jay's game early. 😉
What I liked was Romo giving thanks and praise after giving up the homer. Usually you only see athletes do it when they hit a homer or get a hit. He showed that he is thankful to even play and is grateful, albeit in a losing effort. He’s won championships before, it just wasn’t his night. Go Jays Go!!!
I remember watching this game and hearing Canha yelling "boom" as loud as he possibly could to his teammates during his homerun celebration @ 3:20. I bet he thought "game over" at that moment. I absolutely think he was totally giving it to the jays and their fans after he just watched their grand slam celebration. I would love to have seen his face after Semien's homerun.
Going to miss Semien & Ray , but they've did a great job filling those holes
