After two years using the pro max this year I decided to buy the 16 pro. I am not going back to pro max. So much easier to reach the whole screen. I can put it in my pocket. But the best advantage is that my wrist doesn’t hurt any more.
Same with me. I've always used big phones, back when they used to be called phablets. Had the 14 Pro Max and got the 14 Pro and love it. It's all the screen I need and I really like the lesser weight. It's perfect imo, and idk why people aren't making a bigger deal about the bezels, to me it's very noticeable.
The 16 is my first Pro Max phone ever. I haven’t looked back. I’m in love. I’m a two handed phone user anyway so the size is not a concern for me. I still have the control center set to activate with the double back tap. It comes in handy.
Whenever I get a new phone I get cell helmet liquid glass, a screen protector and a case. Those three things, installed immediately, before even turning the phone on, have saved me from ever having to replace a screen or back glass, I always get top dollar for buybacks because my screen is always scratch free!! 😊
Had the 15 pro max and went down to the 16 pro. What a change ! Only miss the battery life and seeing pictures in photos on the bigger screen but overall, the confort of holding the phone one handed is such a relief. I’d say the perfect size would probably be 6.5”
Switched to Pro after 4 years of pro maxes. No regrets. Its just so much more comfortable in the hand, and I feel like it's more secure in my hand, too.
I went with the Pro the first time since the Pro Max models came out -- Having the same features between the Pro and Max was the biggest driver in my decision but the big gain was that smaller was just better for me. I used an iPad for content consumption
This is my first year using a pro max and I absolutely love it. I find using it 2 handed is more natural and comfortable than trying to do hand gymnastics.
@@juanignacio8320 I did a quick test with both and honestly they’re about the same. I’m currently on beta iOS 18.1 so I’m not fully surprised about the meh battery life

I went from the 14 pro max to the 16 pro max and to be honest, I love the phone!! I’ve always used two hands so it’s not a big deal to me. I like the zoom qualities as well and being able to have a bigger screen has been good as well. I like the 16 pro max and the weight is lighter for me. I got the Desert titanium, it’s not a bad color at all!!
I came from the 13Pro max to the 16Pro max and honestly I use my phone for work all day long and have zero complaints about the hand gymnastics or weight of the phone as it’s with me 24/7! I love the phone love the size, love the battery life and have zero regrets plus 99% of the time when I am using my phone I have both hands on it anyways so their really is no bother for me! But anyone who does want the 16 pro max I think you’ll love it! And won’t have a size regret
Coming from someone who bought a 15 pro on release day.. yeah the pro is great for the first 9-10 months of ownership but the battery life just tanks after awhile. Battery was perfect for me for the longest but now I have to charge back up to make it through the day. My wife has a 13 pro max, 3 years old and 80% battery life and her phone holds battery better than mine. This was my first pro, and I loved it for the longest, but next upgrade I’ll be going back to the max.
😳 My hands hurt just watching your video. I was dead set on the Pro Max but after watching this review I think I’ll get the Pro instead, bro. Thank you.
Don't miss out on the great battery life of the 16 pro max, it's really good. I know it's bigger but I use 2 hands most time anyways so it's not a problem for me. Plus the bigger screen is nice when watching videos and other streaming content.
Trading in my 13 pro max at 128gb for a white 16 pro with 512gb. I really like the colour contrast on it overall. The screen on 16 pro without the notch makes a huge difference for me and feels very satisfying when holding it. I spent most of my time working during the day, so the battery life on the pro is perfect for me.

Me too! I’ve had either a Max or Plus ever since the 7 Plus, but this year I really wanted to get a smaller phone so I got the 16 Pro. I’m so glad I did. However, I was worried that the battery life wouldn’t be as great, but so far the Pro has been amazing!
Pop sockets are still my go to for grips. I have a MagSafe plate i can remove for wireless charging and the grips are interchangeable with one base. I have never been let down by a popgrip. Also as a female I don’t feel strange using one of those cases that have a crossbody strap and look like a purse. So the pro max in pockets issue isn’t really a thing for me. I do r care if I look like a dork, I cannot stand having a phone with a cracked screen or back glass or any dents. It makes me feel like I wasted my money. As soon as I buy a new phone I order cell helmet liquid glass, a good case and a screen protector. I haven’t had to deal with screen replacement since my galaxy note 20 days. I went with the pro max 1tb, I upgraded, enormously from a 12 mini 256, the mini was too small, I had issues typing on it and I’ve never had issues typing on anything, including before we had T9 on Nokia’s 😂 I wanted the huge screen and ample space.
Planning on “downgrading” to 16 Pro from 14 Pro Max. I believe the 14 PM is the heaviest iPhone ever. It also doesn’t feel too confortable with my pocket. I’m also planning to buy iPad Mini 7 if I want bigger screen. I currently have the iPad Air M1 which I’m planning to sell.
I went from consistently having a galaxy note, to the a05s for 11 months, to the 16 pro and I’m so so happy with this phone! It’s one of the best phones I’ve ever had.
I switched from S10+ to Iphone 13. Now ready to upgrade to Iphone 16. Im glad you enjoy the iphone as I do too. People say you can do so much more with sansung, but really what do you do? Browse chrome. apps and thats it lol. Iphone is just simple. plus air drop
Got myself the 16 Pro this time coming from a 13 Pro Max. Best phone decision I’ve made thus far! The size is perfect for me. So easy to navigate with one hand which was my reason from downsizing.
Excellent content as usual, but I'm moving up from a iPhone 13 Mini too a 16 Pro so I'm still struggling with the size and weight increase. I guess 3 years of muscle memory take more than 36 hours to get over. I' going to try the Torras case you recommended to see if that helps me at all. Keep the good stuff coming please, and thanks again for the excellent content, and honest opinion.
im still using my iPhone 4 but the phone companies are turing off 3g so i have to get a new one and im concerned about the size differences too. all the phones nowadays are just so gigantic. i wish they offered ones with the new stuff in smaller sizes.
Had a 15 pro max and went to the 16 pro for every reason you mentioned. Of significance is the extra .2" which makes a surprising amount of gain in screen enjoyment to make for the perfect size. Pocket risk and reachability are also a significant downside in the new Pro Max. Great video as always
Im using a 14PM for awhile and wanted a 16PM this year now after watching your video I think I'm getting the 16PR instead. Also upgrading my Series 7 watch to Series 10. Great video.
Thanks for your video! I think I’ve made my decision from viewing your honest review. I’ve been struggling with the weight of the 12pm since the day it launched but couldn’t give up the big screen and was thinking of getting the 16pm but still not okay with the weight as the price difference is not that big. Now I think I will go for the 16pro instead.
I had the 15 pro max for the 5x camera, but I found it too uncomfortable in my hand and had to use reachability a lot, so when I heard the 16 pro max was even taller, I knew I’d be switching to the pro. Still getting used to the smaller keyboard again, but I like the size a lot better overall.
It was such a hard choice this year. I initially chose the Pro, especially because it has all the same features as the Pro Max, but I ended up switching back to the 16 Pro Max (I've been a Pro Max user for quite some time). I'm still not sure if it was the best choice though, haha. I love the big screen, but one-handed use is almost impossible sometimes. Oh well... I guess we'll see how it goes. Loved the video as always! 🙌🏻
I purchased the 16 Pro but the buttons are now too close to the centre for my hands so I had to return it for the 16 Pro Max. My mother’s 16 Plus actually feels better in my hand, for what it’s worth.
I’m having the same issue, was trying to get used to the pro after using the max for 5 years and now I’m outside the return window and regretting my decision.
I went from a 14 Pro Max to a 16 Pro this year and I’ve really enjoyed it so far. I thought I would regret it due to the screen difference and battery but I just really wanted a smaller screen and I really love it!
Went from the 15 Pro to the 16PM and I love it. Had the 12PM & it was great other than battery life. I had to charge both 12PM/15 Pro 1-2x a day, throughout the day. Now I end the day with 30% left over on a single charge with the 16PM
I’ve heard a lot of reviewers say the 16 Pro doesn’t get hot. Mine gets hot every time I’m on a FaceTime call, especially over cellular. It feels just like my 15 Pro.
I went from the 13 Pro Max to the 16 Pro and will never look back. The only real downside is the battery honestly, but the convenience of walking my dog and using my phone or just going to the gym are immeasurable
Going Pro - comfortable size, easily to carry and hold. As most people in the Apple world, I have a plethora of chargers, both in my cars and throughout the house. For those rare instances and need longer battery life, I’ll use a transportable battery pack.
Went from a Samsung S22 Ultra to the iPhone16 Pro. Couldn’t be happier. Only took a couple days to get used to the decrease in size. But I was tired of hauling a huge slab in my back pocket all the time.
Ordered both sizes to compare against my 15PM and decided to stick to the 15PM…. The 16PM hardly touched but enjoyed the 16pro 6.3”. Sadly I didn’t find a value in upgrading just yet. 15PM for the win the year
I’m more likely to keep my 15PM due to the size. I find it the perfect size and shape with awesome battery life, very hard to give up. Also I have mine in blue titanium which I love 💙
Initially the difference in battery life won’t make a difference but in 2-3years the max will still be lasting a day after loosing 10-20% of its life, while the pro you may well in up having to charge
This was another helpful video. THANKS! I usually purchase a new iPhone every three years and this Jan it’s time to replace my iPhone 13. I always purchased the basic “13” and have never purchased the Pro/Pro Max. This time around I planned on moving up and I was uncertain whether to go all the way up to the Max or just to the Pro. This help tremendously helped. iPhone 16 Pro is will be. Thanks again. 👍🏻 👍🏻
Very useful walkthrough! I have been going back and forth for 3 weeks not being able to decide, coming from a Samsungs24 (which was way to big and clumsy). I think I will go for the pro now. Thanks!
Totally! It’s very thick especially compared to the thin generations of iPhones. When i pulled mine out of the box i was flabbergasted with the size of the camera bump but now that I’ve seen the quality those cameras get me, I’ll happily take the size of the phone haha
@@BrandonButch No, the weight isn't the problem at all. It's how much BIGGER it feels in the hand, simply from the thickness. If you have a 12 PM, go hold both. You'll see. It just FEELS so much bigger.
@@JoeNasr123I have a 12 Pro Max now and I just ordered the 16 Pro Max today. After watching this video I wonder if I should have gone with the 16 Pro… idk It’ll probably come down to feel whether I keep it or switch out to the Pro.
First was the iPhone 11. Then it was the iPhone 14 Pro. Now it is the iPhone 16 Pro. I love it. It doesn’t actually feel intrusively big in hand. It’s perfect.
upgraded from 14 pro max to 16 pro non max, the size difference is real, but its so much lighter and manageable, since I don't have the biggest hands you know, so it was a super nice change, other than watching stuff I kinda miss it
I went from a 14 pro max down to a 16 pro and the size is amazing. I do notice the slight battery size drop, but it's still worth the tradeoff of having a much more manageable device.
Great review! My sis in law’s 12 died and needs to upgrade. I’m glad to have watched this review . I automatically recommend the pro max due to better features, but it looks like they’re basically the same, just bigger. Huge thanks for your effort in making this video!
Great video. Thanks for making it. Just ordered a Pro-Max from AT&T. Wish I watched your video first. I presently have a 13 Pro Max. I’m going to the store tomorrow to compare sizes.
I went from 13 pro to 16 pro max. I tried both and liked the larger screen. Was not expecting to like it. The key for me was how it felt in my pocket. The larger size fits fine in mesh shorts! jeans and sweats. I also like a larger picture when using a custom camera app. More screen allows me to see camera controls easier. Probably that was the deciding factor.
this was the most informative video i’ve watched on this, i’m switching from a 12 pro to a 16 something or other, i’ve been tossing between pro or pro max and I think i’ll stick with the pro.
This. Idea sealed the deal. I am going with IPhone Pro. Good to have creators confidently recommending instead of beating around the bush. Good video 👍
I recently got the iPhone 16 Pro Max, it is my first time with a big phone and I got used to it pretty quickly, it is pretty light and comfortable and I love the big screen
I have upgraded from the 14 Pro Max to the 16 Pro Max. I upgraded not because I wanted to because it was cheaper than the end. My 14 was giving me battery problems. It was dying every day at 3 o’clock. If you’re thinking about upgrading, I would hold off just because for the most part it feels like the same phone. Even with the new AI features that were added yesterday. It really just feels the same. Like you’re not missing out on anything. If you’re coming from the 14 Pro Max to the 16 Pro Max, the screen feels ginormous. It feels like you’ve went from the 14 Pro Max to the 16 Pro Max Max. The battery is better than my 14 was. The camera is better. But not so much better where I feel like someone would need to upgrade. The new camera button is fun to play with. And the 14 didn’t have the action button so I’m still looking for a custom action button option that I want so right now it’s just the mute switch.
Really helpful video, thank you. I’ve chosen the 16 pro and am currently on the 13 pro max. Chose the 16 pro over the max after looking at them both in store. The max was just a bit too big imo and not necessary due to having the same features. Seems like I’ve definitely made the right decision.
Visiting this thread after a few weeks, I just got my phone a week ago. I got the 16 PM after being on the 12. I have really small hands for a 6 foot guy so even the 12 was too big. Paired with the yellow Apple case, it honestly works somehow. I think like you said Brandon with the camera control button, the extra weight helps balance it better. The other thing I like is the improved typing experience. For some reason, the bigger letters really help with my accuracy in two handed typing. Hand gymnastics are already a thing for me, so I rarely use reachability unless reaching the top just isn’t happening. I do have it enabled, but there is a big difference with this phone. I think it’s a well balanced phone and easier to hold. Edit: out of curiosity, I took my case off and it definitely slides more, but it is way more balanced still. I don’t regret the bigger screen.
I have an iPhone 12 and ordered an iPhone 16 Pro Max. Reason I did this: Never had a pro max, I usually keep my phone 4 years so for myself there's a huge increase in features. What went against the regular pro on my end was the fact that it didn't came with 256GB at the entry price like the pro max did. For yourself Brandon, if you switch every other year it doesn't mean that much, but I'm taking into account the next 4 years.
i just bought a 16P today although having a 16PM already. I read a lot of reviews and saw that the 16P battery lifetime is about the same as the 15PM which I had before with 100% battery capacity. So i think i can live with it. The only reason for the PM buys in the past year was battery life and features. I was forced for 15PM for the 5x. This year i get the same in the 16P and if it is being true, the battery life about the same as the 15PM, I am very happy. The other issue I ran into this month for the first time in years, storage. I was having 256gb since the iPhone 12 series. Today i am full and storing my pictures only full res in cloud ends up in being short. I purchased the 16P with 512gb. I have the 16P for testing free 14 days. If it does not fit i stay on the 16PM otherwise i can return the 16PM with a payment on top of 80 bucks.
This is the first year I haven’t chose the Pro Max, Battery life was terrible to start with but now it’s way better. Problems for me- Camera keeps freezing when I go to use video or take a photo for some weird reason (really annoying) Camera Control- Waste of tone for the settings and zoom, amazing for quick launch or hold to start a video! As for size compared to Pro Max- LOVE IT! So refreshing to have a phone you can comfortably use 1 hand!
For me, it comes down to the larger screen on the max. I went to just a pro on a 13 the last time I upgraded my phone and I really missed the larger screen of the max so this upgrade to the 16 max was the reason why for me
Regarding battery life, how much of a difference is there? Im on the 15pm, used to last me with heavier use to around 9pm, but after the updates it only gets to 7pm. Does the 16 pro last as long as the 15pm? Also for battery health, will the 16 pro degrade faster since it has a smaller battery?
@@ramanshwadhwa4366 yeah because it’s going through more cycles since it has a smaller battery. I actually want a smaller phone that doesn’t sacrifice any of the flagship features and also has a big battery. I was hoping the Vivo X200 mini would be the answer, but it isn’t, camera department is sacrificed. Xperia 5 series was also a good option but it’s gone now.
@@ramanshwadhwa4366 battery health does not differ based on model. Never has 16 Pro lasts almost as long as my 15PM. I only charge once per day just like with the 15PM so no major difference day to day
I came from the iPhone 12 Pro Max and the iPhone 14 Pro Max down to the 16 pro and I'm absolutely loving it. Every time I pick up or handle a bigger sized phone from pixel Samsung or iPhone they always feel super big and hard to hold now being used to the smaller phone. I do use a lot more battery life and have to charge my phone consistently over 100% a day but it is a sacrifice I will take for this comfortable feel in my hand. I do not normally do one handed use like you do all of the time but even then it's still a lot better. Buying a MagSafe battery pack soon.
Hi Brandon, should I trade in from regular 14 Pro with 87% bh from February 2023 to 16 Pro Max or wait for the 17 Pro Max? And if the 16, should I go for the 16 Pro or 16 Pro Max? I have large hands and want better battery life but the 12pm was too big for me for 1.5 years of use, but the 14 pro has much worse battery life and it's heavier for some reason but is more compact and convenient, but the keyboard size on the pro max is more convenient for me.
Thanks for the video sir i went to Best Buy last night to check that I am going with the battery life champion. I do love the Torras brand cases too. Thanks for the great video
11 Pro max user, I do need the upgrade, I’m considering a 15PM, OR A 16Pro, unsure if the larger size of the PM this year is worth it. How’s the battery life comparing to an 11 Pro max ? Or a say newer phone like a 15 PM? Is the regular 16 Pro getting the same or better ? Any help would be advised .
You don’t really notice the size difference when coming from a older pro max phone ! However it primarily looks larger due to the extremely slim bezels, but as he stated it is a 0.2 inches taller. The battery life is also better on the 16PM compared to the 15PM, I believe it’s an extra 3-4 hours more than the 15PM. Apple stated “it’s the best battery life on an iPhone ever” and this is due to the larger size of the phone ! Go for the 16 PM !
@@coreyb7125 I guess my question is, would the regular 16Pro (NOT RHE PRO MAX) but a regular 16 Pro be on par with battery life to the 15pro Max ? Coz ultimately my decisions as of now are a 15PM, or a 16 Pro, I did feel a 16PM, in store and felt it bigger than I’d like.
theres quite a few videos on youtube of people doing different battery tests if you haven't seen them yet, in one of them i think the 15pm lasted around 8 1/2 hours (i dont remember exactly) and the 16pm lasted just over 12 hours and i think the 16 pro was either 9 or 9 1/2. i dont really remember but the videos are quite easy to find. i haven't seen one where they compare it to anything apart from the 15's and the latest phones from other companies.
The last iPhone I had was the iPhone 5 but I am making the switch from AT&T to Verizon and with the new customer offers they have and missing out on iMessage and FaceTime, I am getting the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Why not go for the newest and best, especially because I have some big hands so I love the big screen. Pretty excited
After a lot of thinking, I chose to upgrade from the 14 promax to the 16 pro. The 16 promax was a tiny bit bigger taller and a tiny bit slimmer. I was able to physically compare the sizes at a store. It's going to be a big change for me but I figure that the screen size of the 16 pro will be almost the same as the 14 promax.
That's why I stuck with iPhone 15 Pro Max. It is the middle ground now. Honestly, that is an excellent idea to have to play with both models. I will do that repeatedly next year with new tech hardware products from any company. Just buy both sizes and return the most inconvenient one.
Just ordered my iPhone 16 pro and honestly I’m pleased with my decision. Preference is the variable at hand, I’ve had the smaller iPhone models the past 4 to 5 years so Initially I intended on going pro max to have a bigger phone this year. Next upgrade I’m definitely going bigger but I’m satisfied with my pro size for now. I will say after using a certain size for years you do crave a new experience I went from the bigger iPhone to smaller and I can say I do see how after years wanting to go back is what ppl prefer vice versa ‼️
I had gotten the pro max and I returned it to buy the pro. The 16 pro max was huge and I didn’t like it at all. I love your video, thanks so much for all of your points!! Love it. My wrist and hand was hurting from the size of the pro max shortly after getting it. I prefer the pro.
I have used Plus or Pro Max iPhones for pretty much as long as they have been out, has 6 Plus, 8 Plus, 11 Pro Max, and 13 Pro Max. This is the year where Apple finally went too big for me. I didn’t get a 15 Pro Max because I didn’t like the overheating issues, but I did test one, and the form factor was IMO perfect. Slimmer and lighter than my 13 PM but the same size screen. Why Apple had to make the 16 PM taller I will never understand. The massive camera bump now makes the phone incredibly top heavy when using one-handed, and it always felt like I was going to drop it, and with a case it is just massive. So, I also went with the 16 Pro, there is very little compromise, and the screen size is as close to the IMO perfect size of the 11 PM (6.5) as we may ever get again.
@brandonbutch I have a question, 🙋🏻♀️. Which one would you recommend if battery life is a huge thing for you? I do uber, dd, gh, all of these delivery apps and need a phone that doesn’t get hot and can last me a while without having to drain the battery out. Any suggestions? Pleaseee

This makes me feel better because I'm upgrading from the 13 pro max to 16 pro max and I was worried I should've got the pro.

@@RachelWrites I absolutely love the 16Pro max it’s obviously a little bigger but not so big you won’t find it normal after a day or so
Coming from someone who bought a 15 pro on release day.. yeah the pro is great for the first 9-10 months of ownership but the battery life just tanks after awhile.
Thank you.
Man it’s well worth it this year
Don't miss out on the great battery life of the 16 pro max, it's really good. I know it's bigger but I use 2 hands most time anyways so it's not a problem for me. Plus the bigger screen is nice when watching videos and other streaming content.

This is hands down the best video about the experience with the size. Just decided to downsize this year. Thanks man
Trading in my 13 pro max at 128gb for a white 16 pro with 512gb.

I went with the pro max 1tb, I upgraded, enormously from a 12 mini 256, the mini was too small, I had issues typing on it and I’ve never had issues typing on anything, including before we had T9 on Nokia’s 😂
I wanted the huge screen and ample space.
How’s the battery ?
Are you Pro or Pro Max gang?
pro max gangggg
Alsooo firstttt
I’m a pro not pro max guy, I upgraded from the xr to the 16 pro and I love it.
Pro
pro this go around! 3 year cycles for me
Im using a 14PM for awhile and wanted a 16PM this year now after watching your video I think I'm getting the 16PR instead. Also upgrading my Series 7 watch to Series 10. Great video.
I now have an iPhone 11, I’m thinking about upgrading. What would you recommend: 15 pro max, or 16 pro?
The 16 Pro Max is DEFiNITELY wider than the 15 PM. It’s very noticeable.
What was your average screen on time like with the Pro vs. Pro Max?
Update
I purchased the 16 Pro but the buttons are now too close to the centre for my hands so I had to return it for the 16 Pro Max. My mother’s 16 Plus actually feels better in my hand, for what it’s worth.
I’m having the same issue, was trying to get used to the pro after using the max for 5 years and now I’m outside the return window and regretting my decision.
Your bang on I moved from 14 pro max to 16 pro, I am loving it!
thanks for the great video... i'm going for the 16pro too based on your experiences
Thank you for making this video! Been trying to decide recently.
I will stick with the 16 Pro Max because of its large screen size and slim bezels. Thanks for this video!
How is the battery life in comparison to your Samsung? Cause I am thinking about switching too.
@ battery life is much better on my iPhone 16 Pro over my Samsung S22 Ultra. Granted my S22 battery is almost 2years old at this point
@@daddydubz88thank you so much❤
Ordered both sizes to compare against my 15PM and decided to stick to the 15PM….
Also I have mine in blue titanium which I love 💙
oh, the pocket footage was super helpful to compare. maybe next time we can get purse shots too :p
haha I'll have to see if I can borrow one for next year!
Extremely well-made video. I own both size iPhones this year and your video was spot on!
Very useful walkthrough! I have been going back and forth for 3 weeks not being able to decide, coming from a Samsungs24 (which was way to big and clumsy). I think I will go for the pro now. Thanks!
You know the part I can’t get past, going from my 12 Pro Max to a new 16 Pro Max? How much THICKER the new one is.
Honestly the titanium build makes up for it
Totally! It’s very thick especially compared to the thin generations of iPhones. When i pulled mine out of the box i was flabbergasted with the size of the camera bump but now that I’ve seen the quality those cameras get me, I’ll happily take the size of the phone haha
It doesnt feel that much thicker imo.

What one do you like more?
Was waiting for this!
100% Agree... I'd switched to the Pro (even in years past when there were feature difference)... because I did not want to have to use two (2) hands.
Hope this helps anybody who is debating on keeping their 14 or upgrading.
I'm still waiting for mine 16 Pro. Can't wait. Going from 12 Pro. But the 16 is still sold out in the Czech republic.
Really helpful video, thank you. I’ve chosen the 16 pro and am currently on the 13 pro max. Chose the 16 pro over the max after looking at them both in store. The max was just a bit too big imo and not necessary due to having the same features. Seems like I’ve definitely made the right decision.
upgraded from XR to Pro for camera, didnt want extra bulk max. Got SUP Unicorn Bettle Grip case. Has camera control button. great protection
Is going from a iPhone 14 to a 16 pro max a good upgrade ?
I went from the 14 plus to the 16 pro max and it’s nice
So is 6.9 inches not the ideal size then?
i just bought a 16P today although having a 16PM already.
Problems for me- Camera keeps freezing when I go to use video or take a photo for some weird reason (really annoying)
Camera Control- Waste of tone for the settings and zoom, amazing for quick launch or hold to start a video!
As for size compared to Pro Max- LOVE IT! So refreshing to have a phone you can comfortably use 1 hand!
For me, it comes down to the larger screen on the max. I went to just a pro on a 13 the last time I upgraded my phone and I really missed the larger screen of the max so this upgrade to the 16 max was the reason why for me
Sticking with my 16 Pro Max. Loving the size and the battery life. I am coming from the 15 Pro and it was too small for me.
Same for me! My 15 Pro also overheated. Sold it at 90% battery health.
I got a Pro max myself. Coming from a 13 Mini it was a literal “Huge” upgrade. I’m happy with the purchase. Every aspect is better!
Regarding battery life, how much of a difference is there? Im on the 15pm, used to last me with heavier use to around 9pm, but after the updates it only gets to 7pm. Does the 16 pro last as long as the 15pm? Also for battery health, will the 16 pro degrade faster since it has a smaller battery?
yes that’s an issue i have personally observed 16 pro’s battery health drops considerably faster
Never has
16 Pro lasts almost as long as my 15PM.
My battery has been lasting me a little over a day with the iPhone pro 16, I’m a heavy user. I only charge my phone to 90%
Yeah I think I’ll just get a battery pack.
Excellent commentary and advice - you've convinced me to drop the Pro Max in favour of the Pro. Thanks.
It will be noticeably smaller than your 14 pro max.
@@artfartzy I realize that but I think I'll be able to get as much on the screen as I can on the 14 promax.
That's why I stuck with iPhone 15 Pro Max. It is the middle ground now. Honestly, that is an excellent idea to have to play with both models. I will do that repeatedly next year with new tech hardware products from any company. Just buy both sizes and return the most inconvenient one.
Great review, thanks! Really dialled into the day to day experiences that matter.
From a
11 Pro Max would you go to 16 PM or pro?
I’m was previous user of iPhone 11 series , for me it was good choice for upgrade to iPhone 16 series
I had the 13 pro max & was already itching to size down. Switched to 16 pro & loving the size.
this was incredibly helpful, thank you!
Pleaseee
Can't wait for my Pro to arrive! ❤ Glad I made the right choice for me.
I currently have the iPhone 13 but I am thinking about getting the iPhone 16 pro 🤞🏼
$100 more for the larger screen is a no brainer. Love the ProMax.
