In English "Hawser" is usually used to describe twisted steel cables, the kind of thing used in suspension bridges or ship building. I guess we both learned something new.

That spiral bouclé reminds me of lichen. You could thread it through a Halloween-themed wreath. Or maybe a border in a Halloween costume?
