Back in the day from 91 to 2001 whn I was Racing R's at the ATV Nationals its was the best sight in the World ALL THE 250R's Everywere. for a long time we went to like Muddy creek. Daniel Boone. Red Bud. Mt Morris. Lorreta Lynn's & back then for 4 strokes u built Big Bore Stroker 250x 300ex 400ex had just ben out for short min. 440 kits. & B4 400ex We was takin 350X built out the ass motors & putin them on a Dam Good 250R Aftr Mrkt Rollin Chasis. 250R's RULE I'm Oldschool I Love Rs. those 250r are still the best racing bike I have a quad racer and would do anything to be able to ride one of those

By far the best quad geometry. Ripped the MX track on one built to a stroker 350 and there's no equal.
Is that a Paul Turner pipe? I loved my old 250R fourtrax. Wish I had kept it. I know I'll be throwing my age out there. But. I won the 1986 spring series at Dade city race way. Then quit racing and started a family. The 250R was awesome!

Such a slept on quad nowadays with the 400 and 450s. One of the bikes I keep an eye out on Fb marketplace for.

I love this quad so much i have an 86 trx250r i love it so much, she rips pretty damn good.
My uncle raced these from like 98 to 2006 he was state champ of ny like 3 times in a row with his 250r even when the 450s were just coming around. These things are insane
I used to race the 250R back in the early 90’s, still miss it.
Then one day pro Travis Spader showed up on a 350X in a 250R chassis and spanked EVERYONE lol it was a sight to behold

I remember the old 250r ATC also, I was racing a honda 70 ATC in 86, I remember the 250r fourtrax was on display at dealer in the 80s beside a 250r ATC and the 350x 4 stroke ATC.

Front suspension looks very plush in slow-mo. Rear looks pretty "springy". Maybe needs a thicker oil/gas?
The quad may be a trx 250r... but the engine is most likely a 330. I know because I used to have that same exact cylinder on my r back in the day. If the stroke is the same, then it's displacement is 330. If what Nick is riding is stroked too, then it's around 370 cc's. Either way, that r is now in full beast mode. I couldn't believe the increase in power between the stock engine and the 330 on mine. I'm sure its quite a bit lighter than his yamaha, and the whole geometry of the chassis is going to make it feel much more nimble too. He's right when he said everyone better watch out in the pro class if he was allowed to race it lol. I have no doubt because I know how mine felt and rode compared to the 450's
All im saying is that "R's" aint used to that type of punishment....🤣💥👍👍since Dana and them back in the 90's🌡

Laegers for tt and flat track. Roll or walsh for gncc. Lonestar for umm breaking ball joints.

id like to know the specs on this bike . motor chassis and suspension
I can tell you a few specs, front end is roll design geometry a arms +3 width +1 forward from 1986 factory specs with PEP limited mass triple rate shocks, lonestar MX chassis with what I believe to be a 310cc motor. Also believe this bike has a rear stock shock that has been reworked by PEP.
@@snowmaker10 i was unsure if it was roll or lrs dc4 on the front and as soon as i seen the front shocks i knew it was pep from the color and look . i knew the frame was aftermarket and was thinking it had a 310 but wasnt sure . thanks
It's our 250R - Lonsestar No-Link rear with PEPs and Lonestar arms with a 265cc TDR Motor.

@@mountaineer1706 Depends on the driver mod. Not to many people can ride a 2 stroke like it supposed to be. 4 strokes are way easier to ride.

@@mountaineer1706Not disputing what you're saying. No doubt, torque is King. But it takes a modern 450cc 4stroke to do what 31+ year slightly modded 250cc 2stroke can. It takes alot more 4stroke cc's to out perform any 2stroke.
