One of mine: I traveld 300 km with a borrowed trailer to buy my first 20 hives and some equipment ,i had a borrowed net to cover the trailer, but as I neared my destination I realised I had nothing to tie down the net, un typically i prayed for help and as i rounded the bend there on the side of the road was a huge bundle of discarded hay bale twine ,perfect.
Nathan I'm not sure if you go back and watch any of these but it's impressive seeing what you have done over the past 2.5 years. Hearing Bob Binnie talking about getting into Walmart and seeing your products now in Publix, you are definitely on the path to success. Thanks for sharing. I wish you continued success on your journey.
These videos are honestly a huge wealth of information. Until I watched them, I didn’t realize Bob was such a successful businessman. I knew he has been a beekeeper for a long time and runs a business, but he also clearly has made smart business decisions over a long period of time. Thank you for taking us through your process and doing these videos with Bob!
@@DuckRiverHoney and to be clear, I have thoroughly enjoyed your channel and your content. Not just because Bob is in them. I found your channel this week and have already watched more than a dozen videos. And most do those are 20+ minutes long lol Keep up the good work!
I'm so glad Bob mentioned those devine blessings that come by for no explainable reason, outside of divine provision. I have experienced many of those in my few years in business and it's nice to hear others talk about those.
Thanks for not editing Bob being so genuine in his thoughts. I’ll say it again, he is my hero’s along with Kamon, and I draw a lot from your content and can’t wait to watch your successes. Not able to make it to the conference but glad you are doing this.
The God Part is incredible important. If we dont work in tune with life, being good and walking the middle road, blessings will not flow. Like the bees:-)
I have enjoyed these videos Bob is just a wonderful man and I enjoy listening to every thing he talks about he has so much knowledge if u listen to him u can learn a lot Thanks for doing them and I look forward to hearing the rest, I am unable to go to the conference I hope it will be recorded and put on youtube
Bob Binnie ✍️You are a inspiratin for real success with ups and downs in real business ✍️🛢🛢🛢🍯🍯 great information👌thanks for sharing 🧑🏽💻Happy New Year💡
Interesting man I have been at him for a year or so to sit down and put pen to paper and write a book on beekeeping ,pass that knowledge on , says he will one day.
So at what point do you go from buckets to barrels? Did I miss it? I religiously follow you and am grateful for the help, Informtaion and guidance. You’re a great advocate for us smaller entities! Ty
Thanks Ray! I tried to pin him down to a hive count several times, but he didn’t want to get cornered on that one. My opinion is that it’ll be different for different operations. If you’ve got a real honey house that is inspected, with a loading dock…drums will be a lot more efficient. If you’re doing a couple thousand pounds a year…buckets require a lot less infrastructure. In the end I guess it’s about intention. Plan to stay small, buckets. Plan to grow…gear up for drums.
@@DuckRiverHoney I'm producing 10,000 to 12,000 lbs a year and using all buckets. More than that, for handling, the buckets contain only 50 lbs of honey each...that's a lot of buckets. I use small pallets that hold six buckets each so they can be handled without manual lifting, most of the time. I think this method will work well for me up to a good 20,000 lbs or so. Different operators have different needs and styles, we all have to find the methods that have the compromises that we can put up with.
that was interestng! walmart sells honey so cheap i was surprised by that one. how nice he sat and talked to you so long. i hope you dont go too big too fast though.
If it grows too fast, it’s a weed! I won’t grow fast at all I don’t expect…but when I get ready to build a honey house I feel competent enough now to make good decisions.

Take some business classes (or faithfully read some books) before borrowing money to start any business. God is awesome and will bless work. He will not indefinitely bail out poor business acumen. Pray for wisdom. Learn accepted basic business and accounting practices.
Good advice Joe. I’ve got some business experience, but not the specific knowledge that Bob does. I’m wise enough to seek advice from folks that know more than me, and to really dwell on what they say.
@@DuckRiverHoney I've watched your videos and you have a good, systematic way of both doing and teaching. I visited Mr. Binnie earlier in the year and he has a wealth of knowledge, particularly in beekeeping. I tried to keep our conversation to under 10 minutes out of respect for his time. Super glad you used your systematic skills on him.
Thanks Joe, I did put a lot of time into preparing. With this specialized topic you really need a base of knowledge just to be able to ask the right questions. As far as Bob goes, he’s exceedingly gracious. It didn’t hurt that he enjoys making videos 😉.
Bob, DON'T be hesitant to share your 'Faith',,,, God honors those who honor Him.! LOVE watching your talks. From NW Wa.

Funny how that works!
Thank you for not cutting God out of this interview. There is too much of that already today.
I agree
Excellent stuff. Well done. Love the Divine comments and feel. So true!
Thanks!

God is good. You can't deny that. Enjoyed this series
Thanks!
"... and do the right thing." Great words at the end of the video.
Trustworthiness is a rare trait these days. Bob’s got plenty.

Thank you great advice

When selling a product. The most important thing to remember is. Always sell a good product. A good product will sell itself.
I agree completely. I’ve always focused on compelling product. There are a lot of companies out there that don’t.
Amen to including the Almighty in life's endeavors! Enjoying these chats between you and Bob.
Thanks Nancy!
Thanks for the information. Enjoyed the video.
Thanks Gary!

I don’t think the talks will make it to RUclips, but Kamon may sell DVDs of the speakers.
@@DuckRiverHoney That would be a good thing

He needs to write a book. Takes a lot of time though, and he stays busy.
