I don't know much about MDZS, but this is beautiful, the clips from both shows go together seamlessly, the TGCF portions make me sad, thinking of all Xie Lian lost, and all children like Ban yue never had. The little sounds from he series pushing through the music is lovely.
(hurriedly covers the screen) haha yeah... 😅 without getting into spoilers there are quite a number parallels that can be drawn and some are quite sad. But the idea of a 2nd chance at doing things is one of my favorite aspects of both series. 800 years later and Xie Lian's old friends are still around and Ban yue still has Pei xiu. Sorry for my belated comments as I have found your edits over a week ago but haven't gotten the change to SIT DOWN and WRITE, bc I HAVE THINGS TO SAY!!! BC OMFGGGGGGG??? It's so RARE to find such good edits recently. I wish more people would see your edits. You don't know how many times I have watched this video! The edits, the sfx, the choice of scenes -- all AMAZING! I can tell that you put A LOT of thought into your edits. The additions of all the sfx for the burning buildings, the parade, the GLITTER for Xie Lian, the foot steps, sliding door, thunder, crowd, just everything!!! You're not only throwing in sounds recklessly and use it more strategically to evoke emotions during different stages of the song, and also using scenes that appropriately reflect the lyrics. There are so many nuances in your choices of scenes or characters sprinkled throughout the edit, for example say 2:08 with the lines 'we will never be the same again', you picked characters who have so much history who exactly matched that line where they truly were never able to be the same again and it just TUGS AT MY HEART and then obviously when you started to list all the people who were lost in the series, T____T. Amazing job! Now I will move to the next video with an essay....
Ahhhh I don't think I can write/articulate my appreciation and a proper response but I'll do my best (╥﹏╥) The audio was quite the experiment because I've never tried utilizing so much and it was a challenge not to have it overtaking the music. But the more I played around with it the more I realized it could help shape the narrative. What you see and what you hear are 2 different things. You expect to hear what you see, but add in some secondary sounds like distant war horns and hoofbeats or a kid crying out of frame and much more of a story can be told through those few extra elements sprinkled in. The "never be the same again" still hits me hard, especially with the mxtx plots being what they are TᴖT I hope every single one of them eventually make up with one another. Haha, all the lyric matching! Lol it's going to be the only common editing element you'll find throughout my videos 😂
00:27 how *_DARE_* you! Is that supposed to be baby aYuan? Seriously though, where did you get audio for some of these scenes? They only have music in the episodes. I had to double check because I thought I was going crazy. Whatever they are, it's really effective in immersing you into each scene. Keep it up!
Maaaybe... Haha yeah, I wanted to include more soundfx in this one but I couldn't isolate sounds, or as you said, they didn't exist. I took some creative liberties and attempted to create that ambient myself with foley. Most of the video is utilizing them over the original fx because it was easier.
@@TreasonsBeta Dude that's 🔥 Never wouldn't have guessed all these sound effects weren't original if it wasn't for those scenes. Damn... now I've gotta listen through it again and pay closer attention.
