I’ve been having a hard time figuring out what the Sabbath has to do with Born again believers.
Some around say it needs to be followed strictly to avoid condemnation (Matthew 5 and Roman’s 7)
And some say it’s now a heart issue, that since we honour the Lord with every action, it’s not strict (pointing to Colossians 2:16 and acts 15)
I’ve been struggling with these arguments and would ask for prayer, as well as maybe some verses to think about. Thanks for all your encouraging videos. The Lord certainly uses you.

I've come to understand that it's okay to celebrate, honor the Sabbath and that, at the same time, it's a law for Israel and not a commandment we as Christians are bound to. I read an article that says it's a promise we're invited to enjoy. I don't think we have to observe it, but, I also think it's a great idea to and not in a "You're wrong if you don't!" kind of way.

I never really thought about the Sabbath growing up, only learning to grow to worship God (at Church and in every aspect of life)
But certain events have challenged me to consider worrying (whether valid or not, I am know as commonly anxious) about my whole life because (if we go by Israel law) I never kept the sabbath of the 10 commandments.
So I’ve been worrying and stressing about what the real answer is, and I don’t want to go against God, so this seemed like top priority to figure out.
In Romans 7 it says though we aren’t under the law, we agree with it (does that include Sabbath) we aren’t to keep sinning which makes sense. We come to understand that murder still is sinful even if the law is not in effect. But does that mean we should follow the sabbath even though the law isn’t in affect? Hopefully that makes sort of sense, as I’m describing the debate in my head.
Acts 15 describes (I think) that we don’t need to follow the letter of the law of Moses, but rather the only requirements for gentiles is abstain from blood, idols, immorality and strangled animal. Doesn’t not mention Sabbath as a requirement in word.
Colossians 2:16 describes not being judged about a Sabbath. This one seems a bit confusing to me because… judged how and in what way are people judging others?
Matthew 5:19 says relaxing the law is not good. (Does this include Sabbath) Prior it says Law is fulfilled, not abolished.
Thank you for reading (whoever you are). All these passages are just what I have come to find, amongst others. I wouldn’t consider myself completely learned in all scripture, so all I ask for is prayer to just live the way Jesus has now opened to me, and have peace and joy in that. I pray for all you believers too, that whatever trials you may face, the Lord planned for good, just like job.

      Jesus fulfills the Sabbath
8“For the Son of Man is Lord evenfn of the Sabbath.”
Jesus, David and the disciples broke the sabbath according to man....
Ultimately in answer to your question, don't be legalistic anything that adds to grace is a false gospel, whether it be Sabbath keeping , circumcision ANYTHING!
Gal 2:3Yet not even Titus who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised.
4And this occurred because of false brethren secretly brought in (who came in by stealth to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage),
5to whom we did not yield submission even for an hour, that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
      Jesus plus NOTHING is everything!!!
That being said IF youbwant to keep the Sabbath, it is NOT sinful as long as it helpn you be close to Jesus, because the Bible says it is good to keep law, they are beautiful,.holy, perfect,
      Gal 3:21 &24
Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not
24Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
The perfect law shows us our need for a saviour. In finishing those whonsay you have to keep the sabbath..MUST keep the whole law..because...
James 2:10 - For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.

Thank you for taking the time to reply and help (iron sharpen iron).
I have known some people who are a bit more legalistic the me, and I suppose being intimidated when told “I have to believe Jesus +… do other thing).
I’m just trying to learn what Jesus would have me do, that’s all.
Thanks for the time, and God bless.
