This was the era I grew up in, the city era. I look back on all of this, this.......was what made me as a kid extremely happy. It to me was one of the most colorful/beautiful/lively network branding's for any network I've had the pleasure of watching growing up. Nick and Disney Channel didn't come close to me, I was always on the CN/PBS side of the kids area, and I nearly 20 years later still hold it dear to my heart. It was incredible.

Hey, it's been a while since you've uploaded content. Cool as always. Still looking out for the lost CN City 2007 bumpers. No luck, yet :(..I won't give up hope, though :)
With these small and dedicated RUclipsrs posting CN City Era. It may bring Cartoon Network attention to bring them back. Besides a CN special. It makes a lot of people happy and for a new generation to enjoy. If only.
Man, Summer 2005 was definitely the highest point for CN. Because the bumpers are pretty creative, their were a lot of variety of shows, and it has tons of marathons. If your one of those fans that grew up with CN either from the late 90s and early-mid 2000s. This my friends, is definitely the peak of Cartoon network. Because CN did started to go downhill when CN city was being phased out.
@@Austin_the_Dalmatian06 It was pretty much the same story with CN Adult Swim! When the pulled all of the late night Anime off the air for a pretty long period of time, all they were repeatedly airing on the late night slot the Anime aired on was endless reruns of Robot Chicken, Family Guy and American Dad/same thing. Sad!
Summer vacation in El Paso, Tx. Playing with my dad's old gi joe toys with my cousins while this was on in the background. The smell of brunch tacos coming from the kitchen. I miss those days
I remember July 2005. I was 12. This music was INGRAINED in my brain. The summer was out. The weather was awesome. We did NOT KNOW how good we had it. I wish todays children had this. They’d be happier. So so happier.
As a person born during the tail end of the wacky but modern Powerhouse era, I gotta say this is awesome and still looks good today. Though I think Powerhouse could have gone another year, it looked quite modern in 2004/2005. Fun Fact: Japan still used Powerhouse in 2005
Everything seemed more, vibrant back then, truly lighthearted. All the bumpers, the commercials, logos, games on the cn website, those silly 'virtual worlds' that'd exist for a little bit n then vanish from planet earth (RIP FusionFall) and the ones that are lucky to still have a pulse today, I guess this is our generations "back in my day"-type reminiscing. The beautiful difference between us and the oldies saying "you young whippersnappers, back in my day technology was blah blah", is our nostalgia comes from the bittersweet little things, not the lack of what we had compared to the modern day. We enjoyed the feeling, not what we had in front of us.
This was beautiful, tv networks had identity back in the day! Now they have nothing to draw in new generations of viewers. They could easily create fun bumpers & programming blocks but no, they'll use the expense & streaming as an excuse. Sad..
I watch this with a degree of sadness. I turned 12 in the summer of 2005 and changed schools. I was also starting to grow out of CN and Nickelodeon. It was kind of the end of an era for me. I actually don’t remember this particular bumpers that well and with hindsight they come across as one last big party before we all go our separate ways for the summer.
Brings a tear to my childhood soul. I was abour 11 years at the time. I remember clear as day exactly where i lived. This was literally around the peak of my late childhood
I wish Mordecai, Rigby, Finn, Jake, Gumball, Darwin, and New Others would Love to Come Down There, Have Fun There, Join Them, and See This. But It Sucks that They Stopped Doin it and They Weren’t Out That Year. Bring Back CN Summer With All New and Old Shows and Characters.
They sadly can't justify spending this much on bumpers anymore due to a (self imposed) lack of programming & streaming. Not just on CN but across tv, adult swim still has great bumpers though.
I tell ya man, there was nothing better than this. It was an absolute must to be watching CN at this time. Good shows, and these bumpers bringing all the characters together was the cherry on top. I'm glad I got to experience it.
I was 12 thinking this was past my time since i was growimg up but just hearing main song being played out, makes me miss what i should of held on too! Makes me happy to still hold on to what will Probably be held on too for life now 🙂
This is the definition of "you had to be there." While this Era mat have come and gone u believe we, the ones who grew up with this, can recreate it for our kids so they can have something the can look back as fondly as we do to this Era. We just need to put more emphasis on creativity and diversity in the art styles instead of making every show copy and paste.
This was the best summer cartoon network memory even tho i want it to come back it's been long gone but this is the best of cartoon network to make a city of all cartoon characters interacting with others
This was during the Rivalry of Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio on Smackdown, John Cena Championship Reign and being the Number 1 Draft Pick for RAW and the LAST Final Draft Pick World Champion Batista on Smackdown in 2005.
I always think of this era every year as the summer time approaches, especially 0:51. Always remembered seeing that one after coming back inside for the night after being out with friends, good times
