My father worked for a company in Chicago that made the ironers that are used in the linen supply industry.
Being tired of the freezing cold in Chicago he took us to Arizona in 1968. He wanted to start a business of some kind. After several years he was contacted by a gentleman who heard that my dad was in town and looking for something to do. He owned a linen supply company in town and needed a way to keep track of the inventory of sheets, pillow casses, blankets and towels.
My father was raised in a world of relays transformers and electro-mechanical counters buzzers and signal lights. Definitely old school even by 1968 standards. The only "high tech item" was a photo electric "eye".
So he and I, worked on and designed a system of conveyors with electrical equipment that help workers sort and count incoming soiled linen. These four projects show me how relatively easy it would have been to make the machines solid state and eventually computer friendly. Funny how all four of these would be useful in this type of work. Even the moisture detector because wet towels weigh more than dry ones and companies charge by the weight not the number of pieces.

The video was O.K. . However, you don't say what the name of your projects are. You can't show a project and expect people to know what it is, much less what it does. There are many electronics enthusiasts who are beginning, and don't have a clue as to what your projects do. So next video you make tell the people watching. Those watching aren't supposed to guess you want curious minds to discover. This is what sharing knowledge is about.
