Sigourney Weaver comes back to life, but I'm not sure it did much to bring the Alien franchise back to life. Anyhow, Alien Resurrection happened. Here are some sins.

When Ripley 7 begs, "Kill me..." I bet she meant quickly, like with a pistol, not a FLAME THROWER!!

When Ripley 8 lifts the flamethrower Ripley 7 nods. Anything to end the pain. A flam thrower is so hot she wouldn't feel pain for longer than a second or so.
They should've added her shouting "ass hole!" after!
Just like the sentient tree, Harold, in ‘Fallout 3’. He asks you to mercy kill him with a gun but also mentions how painful it will be if you use a flamethrower. You have the option of doing either.

The sin removal would have been because the other characters all look stunned afterwards. xD
@@Ectava They were honestly stunned. She'd been trying it all day to get the shot and then on the final take of the day she actually nails it.
Edited: Clarification of language. She nailed it on her last chance to do so. They weren't going to film the scene anymore and just fake it. Sigourney nails the basket and everyone freaks.
It's funny because she hates that shot because the camera didn't pan back enough to show it actually did go in on its own, she is frustrated that it went out of shot for a moment meaning it could be said it was edited that way to let the ball go in lol

sin for missing how malleable the weights are at 4:51-4:55 when attacking Ripley they bend instead of staying straght.
Goofs such as that one are why I never advocate for movies to only use practical effects. There's been too much hype and campaigning for movies to return to practical effects. Ie Tom Cruise and Christopher Nolan who guzz about practical effects.
I'm so glad George Lucas demonstrated good use for CG. If George Lucas made this movie he would have edited the weight so it wouldn't bend. Mistakes like it are very noticeable especially in the Blu-Ray era.

And they also vanish and make no sound when presumably dropped. This is by far the worst of the franchise. The script is vomit inducing too.
And for no reason, too - it's not like he's hitting her with it in that scene... I get it, they wouldn't use a metal one for that shot, but at least make it hard plastic and not friggin' rubber...
The xenos knew where to set up the ambush because they also had DNA from the sharks in Deep Blue Sea.

One problem l have with this video is that-at one point-Jeremy refers to Call(Winona Ryder) as a cyborg.Call,like Ash and Bishop before her,is an android or,to use Bishop’s terminology,a synthetic person.A cyborg is a person or animal who has had significant portions of their body replaced by cybernetic parts.
I've always thought Winona's character name was Cole not Call.
Or living tissue over a metal endoskeleton.

To be honest about Call, she's not hypocritical when she calls Ripley a "thing" and a "construct". She also despises herself as shown in the later scene when they are both together.

6:08 for 25 years I thought Winona Ryder's character was named "Cole" because of the various accents in the movie. I even paused to check imdb to see who was right when you named her "Call" For reference, at 17:26 Vriess' accent always had me hear Cole.
I'm surprised @cinemasins didn't sin when they call Fiorina 'Fury' 161 from Alien 3 "Fury 16."

9:30 I'm surprised you didn't sin that scene when the xeno is standing in the corridor just staring at them, while they all have multiple firearms pointed at it and no one thinks to shoot.
They answered that in the movie. They say "Don't shoot, it's in front of the hull!" Meaning it's standing in front of a section of the ship's outer hull, one missed shot and the ship would decompress. Even the "pirates" didn't fire because of that.
10:00 so, they came back to Sigourney Weaver that she had one more of these in her contract, she agreed BUT made the stipulation she got to play Ripley the way SHE wanted, and this was the masterpiece of "i told you and you didn't listen" meets "I'm now the queen of death"

Finally!!! This is sinful as hell!
I saw this in the theater when it came out and recently watched it again. It's one of the most 90's movies that ever 90'ed. I'm surprised they didn't find a way to put the guy in the wheelchair on a half pipe to do a 900, although it was probably storyboarded.

i love this movie! But anyway, the scene where Ripley sticks a gun through the captain's wound and blows a xenomorph's head off, i always imagine that Ripley is hanging from the ceiling, which is the big grate that this whole grisly scene is setting on. Probably with her left hand while she pushes the gun up the hole with her right. At this point they've already demonstrated her superior strength, endurance and agility.

You were right about the end of the hybrid being sad. I never figured out WHY but they NAILED the look of utter betrayal and sadness you get from children when the tiniest thing brings their whole world down. Then the tantrum.

Seriously ,this franchise shoukd have stopped after Aliens. And they are making another one. Poor Sigourney Weaver signed a contract to be in all of the movies.
Massive mistake: You should have sinned the part where the hybrid alien is getting sucked out of a small hole in the window. It would require THOUSANDS OF PSI pressure differential for that to happen. The pressure difference on a ship in space is 15 PSI max (sea level on Earth is 14.7). If the alien were pulled to the hole, it would have just sealed it up and gotten a nasty bruise from it.
One of my guilty pleasure movies. Yeah, it's objectively not a good movie, but it has some great moments in it, and who doesn't want to see Sigourney Weaver in an 'Alien' movie?

The Zenomorphs can talk to eachother telepathically,so the one in the water told them they were on their way,the Aliens also can understand any form of writing,theyre highly highly intelligent and probably have sonar or some other way of mapping the ship,this is in the novel of the movie,they most likely heard the humans talk about their escape route,the eggs hatched because they were triggered by the membrane breaking...or sometimes they open when a life form gets close,the"baby"alien sees its birth mother as human and Ripley as its mother due to the dna mix up thats why it was birthed like a human,in the aliens womb as opposed to the queen laying an egg so there was more human in the queen and more zeno in Ripley.

It’s a fun movie if you approach it, knowing that it isn’t very good. It’s all Camp and no horror. It’s the kind of movie you watch with your buddy and basically play “mystery science theater” making fun of it the whole time. I love movies like this. So absurd.

Ok, so, dating myself: I worked at a very small movie theater in Clovis, NM when this movie came out. As an employee perk, family members could watch movies for free, so I let my brother and my boyfriend (currently my hubby of 26 yrs) go in free to watch it.
TO THIS DAY, at family get togethers, one of them will hold up a fork and say "fvck". 🙄😆
