Yes! A recent heir of mine completed the aspiration and I had her cook so many times that I’d have 40 servings of different types of food lol. No cooking for a long time!
@@fableSimmer I've been intermittently working on a save file for a year+ now and let's just say that non-spoiling birthday cakes have become a few families' heirlooms.
I just completed a personal goal of non-spoiling ambrosia which is now available for sale at a retail location called Ambrosia Bakery for anytime I want it. I rarely play with ghosts or actually have the desire to hold onto a Sim beyond their natural lifespan, but I did have one occasion where I desperately needed to revive a legacy heir, so now I have some peace of mind LOL.
See I love the reward traits for both the Appliance Whiz AND the Culinary aspirations (especially if you do them together). The Appliance Whiz gives you double every time you use prepped ingredients and the Master Chef aspiration means your food will never go off. If you have a sim with both reward traits, you can have enough food in your fridge for several generations at once.
Sims: Earn 100.000 by selling nectar, it's really easy when you age it and sell it Me: Yeah, I'll put 50 casks in my basement and age it until it's iridium quality. Sims: What? Me: What?
Fun little story: The first time I did the Party Animal aaspiration I was working my way through the events at 5 unique locations and you can use any house so long as you invited a sim that lives there so I sent us all to some random house in Windenburg and they had no furniture and it was a blizzard so half of the guests flipping froze to death.
Some of the easier ones or at least the ones you can do casually are great for a "side sim". Like I have a household now where I am pretty much focused on the adult son and his kids, but his elder dad is also in the household. It's really easy to give him an aspiration like "friend of the world" or the beach one so I can still do stuff with him that fullfills an aspiration, but I'm not super concentrated on him really. And there's another household I'm playing with a couple and their kid and I am mostly focused on the mom's stay at home work while hubby is at work. So I gave him a casual aspiration that I could still play toward inbetween hers, but he's mostly self navigating.
Sims can still get Tense even if they have those reward traits because it ONLY affects Tense from Low Fun, if I'm not mistaken. I know that's how the one you can purchase with reward points works; it doesn't remove all chances of getting Tense (and if it did before then they altered it so the Sulani one was more powerful probably but I still don't know because I have yet to complete it myself lol. I also dislike Coconut IRL as a texture issue; the flavor is great.) I think examining both traits would be worth doing some Sim Science on! Maybe get one Sim who buys the reward trait with satisfaction points and then have another Sim go through the Aspiration (or cheat it to save time) and then test how they respond to having different needs sapped. Edit: I'd LOVE to see a short LP with Bob and Eliza doing the two different Bust the Dust Aspirations! Note: some of the "how to do this" information is pretty vague within the game itself. All I remember is that James Turner (formerly known as TheSimSupply) had some issues because the wording was poor and that made it harder to tick things off at first.
Fun video! I love how different yor list is to what mine would be, simply because of how different our play styles are. Agree with you on most of the kids' aspirations being too easy, though. Especially the base game ones. If I'm really focusing on a specific kid (like an heir for a legacy challenge) I can often accomplish several before aging up to a teen, even on normal lifespan. I will say that timing, family connections, and them finally patching out the 'Take Picture With' hack has made the base game Social Butterfly aspiration a lot harder than it used to be. Because no one in your household counts towards the 'make friends with X# of children/adult' counts, which forces you to take you sims out and actually be more social with them. Also don't think it counts friends you make before unlocking that level of the aspiration. Still not a hard aspiration to complete. But probably harder than the others.
I don't usually compare Sims 3 and 4, as for the most part there are good reasons for why changes were made. The aspirations though I find a bit aggravating! They're mostly a bunch of things that you'd get as bonuses for completing skills or advancing in careers and they were awarded passively. The ones based on meeting people and making friends are just a pain if the sim has been around for a bit as they need to meet more people while in Sims 3 it was 'have x friends and y acquaintances' so it wasn't such a chore. The fishing was easier too since the bait was specific for each fish type, although it also meant either experimenting or looking up the Carl's Guide to get those. I wish it had still been passive skill bonuses, and the aspirations were something that reflected an ambition that would take a while to achieve. The walk through of packs I feel would be far better handled with scenarios
Seeing all the aspirations lined up makes me realise how many we have, however not many actually really make me want to play! I also don’t remember the last time I used the herbalism skill 😂
i am doing the not so berry 2 challenge and my 3rd gen sim just had to do that extreme sport enthusiast aspiration and it was fun at first bc i never really did snowboarding or rockclimbing as a hobby for my sim (too scared they may fall off the mountain lol), but at one point it was just tedious. i also had to max the rock climbing skill and that is truly such a hard skill to level up it took my forever, like her whole life.
to me neighborhood confidante is actually one of the hardest aspiration because it has nothing to do with your gameplay. I have tried it a few times and could never complete it because I usually play with families so the calls gets distributed throughout the family
I'm a bit confused about how some of the aspirations seem to be out of order. And also why didn't you talk about every reward trait? Makes it feel a bit incomplete.
I HATE the valentine one, 10 COUPLES?? Come on, I always use a cheat for that one cause that’s actually ridiculous. It’s impossible if you don’t have cccc and don’t do it right away. HATE IT
Imo Master Chef is at least rosebud tier b/c non-spoiling food is such a top reward.

If you have family oriented soms, this one I consider almost necessary.

@EnglishSimmer Mollie 14:4 says "Mother is mothering, market is marketing!" please make that phrase into some sort of merch. I can't 😂😂

Live Fast would be crumple bottom if my sim ever got invited to sneak out. But as they don't it is the biggest Tragic Clown.
oh really?! my teens get asked out a fair bit. usually only on weekends
26:55 this is me with my boss: I don’t HAVE any goals for my “career”! I don’t want to advance !😂
I am here for the Pancakes bust the dust gameplay!

Can you do a tier video on scenarios? I think since there aren't many new ones now, it would be a good video to revive that gameplay.

Can we get a teny tiny l.p. about two sims living on tow different levels of a house each tring to do one of the bust the dust aspersions
I think maxed out the Spellcaster aspirations more than any others, it's basically just easy reward points

Last month i played with the herbalism i like that skill but it's not easy to collect all the bugs for me😂

Love your hair ❤

like its tragic clown - sorry if saying it hard made it sound appealing
Love your hair! ❤
A fiend frenzy is an evil dust bunny
I seem to have a bug where you can't resime anything you've started.
What do you use to curl your hair?! So cute
i use the nume lustrum 5 in 1 ☺️

I actually think, actually, might need an actual rest after this video. Did you actually ever make a actual sentence, without actual in it?
EnglishSimmer, I love this! Can we be friends?
