Amazing line and wash tutorials. I love the real speed, calm music and text stating what needs to be included. Thank you. You are truly an inspiration.
Awesome demonstration!! Perfectly illustrates how to get the look of weathered wood... and contrastingly the look of panes of glass... I have watched about 80 or so of your videos and I have yet to find one I did not like.. yet to find one I did not learn from. Some I have watched over and over again! * smile *... Thank you for this, and ALL of your wonderful videos!! cheers! :)
Boy, I wish I had found this yesterday when I was trying to achieve exactly that look of aged timber in a window frame from a photo I had taken of ruins in rural NSW. Will give it another go now that I have seen this fantastic tutorial. Thank you so much for sharing your fantastic talent. 👏👏👏
Absolutely astounding! I’m inspired to keep practicing so I can draw as easily as you. I learned many concepts from reading and watching you apply them “brought it home” for me. Thanks so much!
Not only your demonstrations are awesome, your descriptions are so detailed... there is a ton of valuable information that helps..... so much to learn from you as an upcoming artist and RUclipsr
Thank you for this Mr. Sheeler. I wonder if you would kindly do a video on how you do water mixing and how you control water in your paintings. There seems to be so little water on your palette and I can never seem to get the technique properly. You truly are an inspiration. Further, have you done any interviews about you and your techniques that we could listen to?*
Another great demonstration that the simplest is the most beautiful. Thank you for teaching and sharing your art. Thank you for giving us a little time of your Saturday.
Great lesson for people like me that can't seem to have enough control with a brush. Once I pencil it in with the color I want the water brush has MUCH more control for me anyway that keeps the color where I want it! AND, its repeatable which mixing hasn't been as much for me. One window was blue gray, another warm gray, the third blotchy gray gray. Thanks so much for this tutorial.
I have never tried Arches because it is not available in my country, but your tutorials excite me to find a way to purchase this paper. I liked the painting and the technique. During the video, I felt that you choose the brushes deliberately to serve your desired goal. The width of the brush suited the width of the wooden plank! Flat brush serves a more abrupt stroke on the paper! Thank you for these inspiring moments!
My chill zone tends to be working with inks, watercolour pencils and visual mind-maps of ideas. I can totally appreciate the meditative properties and creative satisfaction you might draw from this. It's my haven .. which is what brought me here :-)
I am learning to draw by watching your videos and drawing along with you. It may take a while to get through one video, but I'm enjoying every minute of it. Thank you so much for these.
Hello peter. I am big fan of your paintings..^^ When you upload your videos, Southkorea where I leave is time to go to bed. Thanks to your wonderful art and classic, I can sleep comfortably by watching your videos.. I always like your awesome paintings and I hope you will have a nice day!
Thank you so much Peter! This painting I've wanted to do for many weeks, it intimidated me and made me wonder how the hell you make broken glass with watercolor. I've been two days working up the gumption to complete it and I have so thanks again! Holy cow! That was very generous of you!
Nice work although I dont know if I'd truly call this dry brush. Dry brush is basically that full nearly out of the tube look that Andrew Wyeth and Marzio Tamer get on their dry brush paintings. Where the watercolor paint is hardly thinned. Wyeth gave an interview at one point where he said the majority of watercolorist who claim to be using Dry Brush actually do not have any idea how to do it.
Hi Peter, Thank you so much for this tutorial. I learn so much from watching you demonstrate different techniques. Some of these things I would never know without watching you and I'm grateful for all you've taught me. Thank you for all that you've demonstrated for us, it's deeply appreciated. If I could only learn to sketch like you! Like you've told us in the past to sketch every day to improve your skills. So now I make sure to make time, even if it's 5 minutes to just sketch each day. Thank you once again for sharing all that you do. Kathy B. (fairylady0227)
I only started to learn how to draw and paint 2 months ago. So far what I have been doing is to copy my reference exactly so I would use a ruler to get exact line and shapes. But your painting and style are really inspiring. I want to learn how to do this as well. Painting loosely is a lot harder than it seems.
Love this one Peter , my project for tomorrow but like Manuel below I think I will find it much harder than you make it look, but then you always do. Thanks again, Isabel
Hello Peter, I enjoyed this video very much. I was wondering if you put your paints in any particular order in your wells? Is to have certain colors together to get your desired colors? Thanks, Craig N
Awesome Peter. Have you ever tried Watercolour Pencil, and what are your thoughts on this medium? Could you do a picture using them? Full of questions aren't I -- Peace!
I have recently started watercolour classes and started watching your very helpful tutorials. Can you please tell me where you can buy the Polar-flo brush from as Amazon UK says it is out of stock. It looks a very good brush.
Great imagination! I would be interested in a bio, are you self taught/art school? Do you have a web site? Love your use of a limited palet, and have learned so much from your demos.
Hi Peter. When you say (under your "Paint Pelette" info) that: "The paints are squeezed onto slips of paper and then stuck to the palette. This makes replacing or changing colours quick and easy." What kind of paper? Perhaps waxed paper? Thank you.
I did a fairly good copy of your beautiful piece but feel like all I did was copy someone else's work. It looks a lot like yours but (mine) is totally unoriginal... it's just a copy because it's yours. I've been struggling with watercolor for about a year and am pretty much losing the fight...I like how mine came out but then I think, "yeah, but this isn't yours..." Pretty frustrated at this point, but aside from that, I love your work and your style. I've been a subscriber for about 6 months now. Thank you for doing these videos.
Don't be frustrated. You are learning to control your tools and materials with each painting you do. They say, you must do at least 100 paintings before you begin to develop your style.
Thank you for putting it that way regarding the tools and materials. I've often thought the same thing but it carries more weight when the person saying it is the person whose work I'm copying. I find you're "easy for beginners to follow" videos enormously helpful. I'll try not to worry so much about copying and will just keep going and wait for "my own unique style" to decide what it is and appear. Thanks, as always.
That was wonderfully meditative to watch .. and it’s beautiful!! Thank you for sharing!
Amazing line and wash tutorials. I love the real speed, calm music and text stating what needs to be included. Thank you. You are truly an inspiration.
At least a dozen times I thought he was finished. Then he added something that made it better! Fantastic video. Nice music, too.

Peter I love this painting. Definitely going to try it. So realistic as well. Thank you for sharing with us.

I'm so glad I found your channel. I have started art again after about 25 years and it's like meeting an old friend.
Peter, your work speaks to my heart and soul. Plus your background music is calming and pleasant. Thank you for sharing your talent.

Wonderful tutorial as always. I wish I could paint using my imagination as you do. Thank you for sharing x
Thank you very much Laine. Just takes practice :)
Gorgeous & inspiring as always. How nice to watch on a lazy, rainy Saturday morning.

Hi Guru Jad. Great observation as always. Any good quality cold press watercolor paper should work just as well.
Thank you, it's always good to watch a dry brush video.
Thank you. So glad you enjoyed this one. Peter :)

Thank you very much. Always great to hear I've helped in some way :)

But your painting and style are really inspiring. I want to learn how to do this as well. Painting loosely is a lot harder than it seems.
Thank you very much. You almost need to be able to draw cleanly and then loosen it up. Peter :)
Love this one Peter , my project for tomorrow but like Manuel below I think I will find it much harder than you make it look, but then you always do. Thanks again, Isabel
Thank you very much. I hope you do enjoy it!

Hello Peter, I enjoyed this video very much. I was wondering if you put your paints in any particular order in your wells? Is to have certain colors together to get your desired colors?
Thanks,
Craig N
Hi Craig. I keep the colours I mix together most often close together.
Awesome Peter. Have you ever tried Watercolour Pencil, and what are your thoughts on this medium? Could you do a picture using them? Full of questions aren't I -- Peace!
Thank you very much. I used WC pencils for the very first paintings I did. Have never used them since and no longer own any :)
Obrigado maravilhoso ! 😍✌️
Você é muito bem-vindo. Obrigado por assistir :)
I have recently started watercolour classes and started watching your very helpful tutorials. Can you please tell me where you can buy the Polar-flo brush from as Amazon UK says it is out of stock. It looks a very good brush.

awesome
Great imagination! I would be interested in a bio, are you self taught/art school? Do you have a web site? Love your use of a limited palet, and have learned so much from your demos.
Hi Sherri. Completely self taught. Painted full time for many years. Plans for a bio video soon.
I just tried this, it was actually a lot harder than I thought.
Glad to hear that. It does take some practice :)
Hi Peter. When you say (under your "Paint Pelette" info) that: "The paints are squeezed onto slips of paper and then stuck to the palette. This makes replacing or changing colours quick and easy." What kind of paper? Perhaps waxed paper? Thank you.
Hi Mary. Just scrap watercolor paper
good day
what color is opposite of the yellow ochre, on the palette?
beautiful drawing, high accuracy
Davy's Gray
Yes. Did not finish reading the description.
Your birds and leaves are very beautiful, as if alive.
Today I actually did this, when painting jeans!
It is as very versatile technique :)
Köszönöm

Did you go to art school?

I have just realised that you don't live in the UK so won't know a supplier of the brush.
LOL. Oops... and I just noticed this :)
