    Those compressed food bars last forever. If it was stored well I wouldn't hesitate to eat it in an emergency situation.

      All expiration dates are basically just the safest possible estimate to avoid lawsuits. The stuff in this ration would probably last another 30 years and still be edible.

    Very interesting. Same thing we had in our emergency food storage but the biscuit was bigger and there was any jelly bars.

    I sometimes take my seven seas emergency rations camping with me, bevause they have a 5 years shelf life, I rotate them out so I have fresh rations for survival situations. Each biscuit bar is just under 300 calories and I practice hiking and wild camping on only 2 bars a day. I have managed 72 hours so far.
