কলকাতার অন্যতম একটি দর্শনীয় স্থান হলো এই হাওড়া ব্রীজ। ১৯৪৩ সালের ফেব্রুয়ারিতে ব্রীজটি জনগনের ব্যবহারের জন্য খুলে দেওয়ার পর থেকে আজও বিশ্বের সব মানুষের কাছে এটি একটি কৌতুহলের জিনিস। ১৯৬৫ সালে এই সেতুর নামকরণ করা হয় 'রবীন্দ্র সেতু' নামে। বর্তমানে এটি বিশ্বের ষষ্ঠ কান্টিলিভার ব্রীজ।
The Howrah Bridge is one of the most visited places in Kolkata. Ever since the bridge was opened for public use on February 1943, it's still a curious thing to all people around the world.The bridge was named as 'Rabindra Setu' in the 1965. It is currently the sixth cantilever bridge in the world.
