The cop that got shot absolutely without question not only saved his fellow officers but eliminated the threat, got shot multiple times, cleared a jam and communicated that he was hit. That officer needs a medal or promotion and to finish the remaining job behind a desk or full retirement. He went absolutely and completely above and beyond. Outstanding

Two officers were actually hit in this video. Both of the officers standing in front of the driver in the drivers side were shot. First officer to get shot is actually the one who fired a few shots radios shots fired and retreats behind a vehicle for cover and then shoots the guy a few more times you can see in the video when he’s walking up to the suspect he pats his left lower abdomen. Probably realizing he was hit or felt something there.
Unluckily officer Austin inadvertently blocked his view from seeing the gun for a split second which otherwise could have resulted in a better outcome. Officer Ryan should have moved to the back of car and fired through window if he was worried about crossfire.

It’s about how the government just doesn’t give a crap about keeping these losers in jail and making it safer for our law enforcement. So yes, thank you is so necessary, but soon these guys will retire and there won’t be a lot of people to replace them.

So not "common" at all, but with large numbers of potential comes enough numbers of events to fill a book. The human mind has a tendency to blow all out of proportion the "immediacy" of events that our eyes see, even if it's just on a RUclips video. A system that uploads more videos in a week than the entire population of the planet.

Two officers were actually shot both the ones on the driver side the first on scene was a newer cop they both have been released from the hospital and recovering at home!
