    if you listen to the dvd commentary, Bob says in the scene where they lure the kid over to the bush and slit his throat, that in the script the monk passes by after.
    The editor changed the order of it, so his throat is slit after the monk already rides by, so it's unnecessary at that point and therefore even funnier!

    The rapper was originally supposed to be Flavor Flav, but his manager insisted that Flavor WIN the rap contest, according to the commentary for this episode.

      No surprise there reading about how he acted after this Eric Andre show appearance. Dude was legit upset they edited the clip to make it look like he got kicked in the face, as if anyone believed that really happened on a show as absurd as the Andre show.

    I want so badly to hear the rest of Professor Murder's song. It sounds awesome. I've been trying to figure it out for 20 years and it's just impossible, but you can clearly hear they wrote a whole song. I wonder if there's a script or something.

    Seems to have a Get a Life feel to the skit, probably in homage to Brian Murray.
    That has got to be the one of the best transitions into another sketch ever.

    Exactly. That exchange of glares was perfectly representative of everything great about this show. The impact this show had on the present ADD brand of comedy will never, EVER be properly thanked. You can't even fault Bob's horrible bald wig - with all of the other glorious aspects of this sketch. You HAVE to be entertained.

      Yes. IIRC in the commentary David said that he agreed to do the show without any explanation and when he showed up he couldn't hide that he was a little bummed that they wanted him to do Duckie. However, he went along with it because he's awesome and he trusted them.

    BEST SKETCH EVER..........I've seen this one so many times in the past but forgot about it over the years. Goddammn! I needed a good laugh. Loved it! the whole scenario. Monks Vs The Fat Kids Lol like you know they were while thinking of this stuff up. Hearing the audience react to David Cross slitting a kids throat to win a race. No Boundaries! Oh and one last thing the expression on Bob Odenkirks face change only 0:32 had me in tears!! Bring this show back! Lets start a petition!
