Have to mention Ban Saraf. The dude is 18 years old playing professionally in Germany putting up great numbers and making very clutch plays both in the German first league and in the EuroCup (arguably 3rd best competition in the world after NBA and Euroleague). I would argue he should be a Lottery pick at the minimum but should even be taken top 8-10.
Gilbert Arenas is not normally the voice of reason, but he nailed the Cooper Flagg draft debate. If a team needs an impact scorer to be their #1 or #2, there are better options. If they have a good team with some holes, he is going to be a goldmine of being able to contribute in multiple ways with a good attitude. That and he's going to be incredibly coachable since he is high school age.
You look at Cooper's stats in the games Duke has played against real competition (Kentucky, Arizona, Kansas, Auburn, Louisville and George Mason), and it's over 21 points a game with almost 10 rebounds as a 17 year old. His numbers go way down when you add the games Duke won by 30. They focused other young players in those games. Harper is the only freshman with numbers as impressive as that. For the life of me I can't see why Cooper can't develop into a first or 2nd option. Due to his passing ability, teams are going to want him having the ball in his hands as a point forward. He shot 39% on 3's last year. His shot will come back eventually.
@ eventually I agree, but that’s why it’s risky if a team that needs a dominant scorer picks him. It might take him a few years to adjust. And at his age, I wouldn’t be shocked if he went right into the free agent market as fast as he’s allowed. If the Wizards did pick him and still sucked when he could test the market, why wouldn’t he go to a contender to establish himself as a winner? If you pick him, you better have a plan and it better work.

AK47 averaged 11.8ppg, 5.5rpg and 2.5 assist guy in his career. There is absolutely, positively, no way Cooper will be under 20ppg by his second year. He'll also easily average about 8 rebounds per game. AK ran the floor well, was a decent catch and shoot guy, and played hard, but had no wiggle at all to his game could not jump well off two feet. He also was not a gifted passer. In short, their games are not similar....except for the fact that both are tall, white and play good defense.
I said the same thing about ak47. Cooper doesn't have much wiggle either. If ak47 played in the last 10 years he would have averaged much better numbers. He was a monster. Cooper will be a much better offensive player but I don't think the kirilinko comparison is shade

Hoping he doesn't go there. They need too much to be competitive. He's not that guy (at least not yet). They really need a scorer who can come into the league as a high level player.
I think some truly great sleepers are guys like Rocco Zickarsky who in my opinion has generational paint defense. Miles Byrd another really great defender who is sort of like a wing guard hybrid who can playmake also. BOOGIE FLAND I think there is very little flaw in his game, he’s a great scorer but defense is the one that stands out to me. Idk cade me be 26 27 7 an 10 by the end of the year anyway . I think ace or cooper would be a great fit with cade
I actually think Harper is more fitted to turn into an elite scorer than Cade is since he’s more athletic. Harper’s shown a better ability to get to the rim and finish. Cade is a better playmaker though.
Flagg won't fall that far - I don't think the Spurs are going to be a lottery team this year. Besides, the Spurs need a floor spacer, as always, and a big center to bang with other bigs around the rim.
I couldn’t agree more we’re in desperate need of a good Center. I’d love for the Spurs to draft Big Z from Kentucky. Do a Trail Blazers Dylan Harper rebuild
Cooper would fit perfectly on the Hornets
For the Wizards:
I’m happy with Flagg or Harper. Wish we could unload Poole, don’t want to see Bub squeezed out of the starting five, which Harper would definitely do.
Not as worried about a logjam between Flagg and Bilal, I’ll take all the athletic wings I can get, especially if they’re 6’9” like Flagg.
Everyone talking about Ace’s blind spots has me spooked, feels like it’s so common to see these really athletic guys who have some kind of mental roadblock and don’t grow as players. Think I’d rather have Egor. Or maybe Noa Essengue for my French-speaking starting lineup 🥐
Hoping he doesn't go there. They need too much to be competitive. He's not that guy (at least not yet). They really need a scorer who can come into the league as a high level player.
Poole been hooping for yall this year why you want him gone
There's no logjam, Flagg is a power forward, Bilal plays sf and sg, Kuz will be gone
Bilal and Flagg could go down like JT and JB
Already left a comment but needed to say this, no love to Collins Murray-Boyles and Derik Queen is crazy
So the top 3 this year are Evan Mobley, Stephon Castle and Jabari Smith Jr.? That’s solid.
Ik it’s not likely but I want to see vj edgecomb on the bulls, I get dwade vibes when I watch him play
They could really use it. They're going to get rid of Zach and that's going to leave a major scoring hole in their team.
His navigation through screens reminds me of a Marcus smart or a Jamal shead truly a pick dodger🙌
i actually didnt realize how good of a comparison draymond is to cooper flagg
He isn't
Where you got a guy like Xavian Lee from Princeton, he’s been cooking teams as of late, even against Rutgers.
Big riser right now!
He tested draft waters last year was getting some late second round bids hopefully the decision to come back was a good one. He needed to put on a little muscle.
Watch the Chicago Bulls try to Draft Kasparas Jakucionis and pair him with Matas Buzelis. To make a Lithuanian one to two punch. The Bulls EVP of Basketball Operations Arturas Karnisovas is Lithuanian and it wouldn’t surprise me if he tries to do this.
My biggest "hot take" about this draft is that non of the top 3 picks, will end up being in the 3 best players from this class in the nba
Same for the 2024
I think once Ian replaces Elliot in the UNC lineup he'll start rising up draft boards.
Jaland Lowe at Pitt. Lowkey better than Bub Carrington also as a freshman on the same team last year at various times during the season (Bub better overall and size obviously) and is a dog this year already. Should be considered for a late 1st to sure 2nd if he declares imo
coop can be a primary forward.
Dylan won’t get Wooden Award votes unless Rutgers turns it around. Also, Cooper is still the best freshman because of his all around game. If you look at Wooden odds, it’s Broome, Cooper and Kam Jones as the Top 3
Jaland lowe please
Tre Johnson is a shorter Ace Bailey and does all the things we wish Ace Bailey could do, imo.
Jamir Watkins and Malique Ewin are second round studs
You are sleeping on ban Saraf 😴😴
Ross check out Hans Yang’s numbers over in china
What do you think bout Andrew Carr from Kentucky
ben saraf????
Ive commented about this before, it seems like half your vids are just reading out per games stats, those stats need to be in context to something, if youre trying to make a point bring up a certain stat dont just read numbers at the camera it's boring and really bad "analysis"
Thanks for the constructive criticism!
@@Sros1Did not expect you to actually read my comment, love your dedication matt I've been watching for years and it's great to see you consistently work hard 💪🏻
Man yu cant go wrong with Ace hes a baby KD
How do you feel about harper alongside cade in detroit . I could see him going there and handling some of the distributing and letting cade focus more on scoring and get closer to a 30 ppg guy . Idk cade me be 26 27 7 an 10 by the end of the year anyway . I think ace or cooper would be a great fit with cade
The way they're playing, Pistons might not even have a top 10 pick.
I actually think Harper is more fitted to turn into an elite scorer than Cade is since he’s more athletic. Harper’s shown a better ability to get to the rim and finish. Cade is a better playmaker though.
Jeremiah fears is a SLEEPER
How many steps did the dude take😂

I know it’s almost impossible but I’d love to see the Spurs develop Cooper Flagg. I feel that Cooper and Wemby would be super fun to watch.
Big Z is a 7’2 Center that could play good defense around the rim while also being able to space the floor with a really good 3 point shot. He’d be a great fit for the Spurs. Not sure if you’re familiar with him but this is a quick highlight video of him.

@@Tain950I can see the spurs taking stanfords center maxime raynaud
@@goodhair420 Ain’t that Wemby’s friend?
@@Mandozen yeah it is that’s what I’ve heard atleast
jermiah fears will be the best of this draft
He won’t lol
Relax
He's nasty Russell Westbrook with a jumper. But this draft has potential to be a 96 or 2003 type draft.
Who😂
Who
If Ian Jackson gets the playing time he’ll be lottery fs
Yea honestly very disappointed in his minutes he definitely should play more clearly they should play through him RJ needs to move around. I like him but unfortunately he's a second round draft pick hes 5'10. And please if RJ looks of a wide open Powell again I might lose it😂😂😂
Egor demin.
i‘m praying for the spurs to somehow get the third pick.
would love to see ace bailey with victors playmaking
I would either get Tre Johnson and Deron queen and trade for Keegan Murray
La vérité c’est que Cooper Flagg n’est pas le joueur générationel annoncé...et que la draft 2025 n’est pas la cuvée exceptionnelle annoncée !
You never know anything an happen but it’s not fair to compare flaggs numbers to a Harper or Bailey.. those dudes have no other option but score a ton for their team to even have a chance.. if Flagg was on Rutgers without those 2 his numbers would be insane lol he just doesn’t have to do anything in games against bad teams. He’s super unselfish
What’s this beat in the vid, it’s heat lowkey lol
Ace Bailey should definitely stay another year in college, he needs to put on weight.
has hugo gonzalez fallen off as a prospect?
please send dylan harper to new orleans
Give us flagg so we can trade zion
@ no, we are keeping Zion.
@@kingsamthefirst5053 why he’s not that guy super injury prone he’s holding us back
@ he’s only worth a pick and salary filler right now. Just wait he’s still young. And because he is young there is still time to wait for his value to go up then trade. Also, when he plays this team is a good playoff team. He has a MVP ceiling. You don’t trade that for 1 pick and salary filler. Especially when he is this young.
@@kingsamthefirst5053 Zion Williamson is a depreciating, disgruntled asset who's production has dropped since his second season in the NBA. Trading him to a different situation would be in the mutual benefit for both Zion and the Pelicans organization.
The Grizzlies are fine with the 24 draft
Before 1 minute gang
It's crazy how you consistently had far more negatives to say about harper and bailey compared to the demin and jakucionis even though harper and bailey are much better prospects, the clear racism on this one is crazy
How can u talk abt next years draft and not acknowledge Malauch
Dylan Harper is the #1 pick
Man i hope tge raptors can get dylan harper no matter what im gonna be a dylan harper fan
Hot take:
Alex Sarr will leave Washington and re-enter the draft, going at #1 to the Boston Celtics and helping them win their first ring
What
Bro huh?
AI slop
Bold take Ace Bailey will be the best player in the class
Depends on if you value 20ppg over 15ppg/10/4/2/1.5. It's all about the team that picks them. A stupid GM picking someone who doesn't fit is going to ruin a really good player.
@@SDesWriter completely agree but I just think he will develop at a higher rate
Dylan gon be a prob
All this hype on Cooper Flagg ( not that i don't think he is good ) But people been talking about how he going to be a massive stud. Can someone name me an American white guy who has been all nba in the past decade and further more throughout history? Journalist talk about stats all the time so let's discuss the odds of him being all NBA.
Cooper Flagg will be a better Jayson Tatum. Not a superstar or generational player, but a solid #2 on a championship team
Better than Tatum but not a superstar? Did you think about that statement before writing it? Tatum not a superstar?
Please look up how to pronounce jakucionis 🙏🙏🙏
Cooper Flagg is what Matas Buzelis is gonna look like in Year 2
Nice try Mrs Buzelis
Kai sotto 7'3
Let's not
Here's my take
1. Jakuciones
2. Demin
3. Harper
4. Flagg
5. Quintance
6. Newel
7. Johnson
8. Fears
9. Flann
10. Bailey
