I grew up in a bad home. My mom remarried when I was a year old. That man was evil to my mom and myself. He beat us every day for 13 years. My mom had no where to turn. I don't blame her. It was so bad. If you can get out please do so. Anyone who loves you will never put there hands on you. You cannot fix a person. Two broken people cannot fix themselves. Only Jesus can do a work on that level.

Wow, This is on time, I'm from a mainly conservative place and my church pastor always says even if the husband beats you, stay in the marriage and pray and God will redeem him. I was ruminating if this is right or not. Can you please also speak on marriage, family etc. I'm very confused growing up in a Christian household and a conservative place and church. I used to want to be married and have kids but everything is a sin, but I lost the desire altogether. Desire to be married and have kids? Something is wrong with you, that is why God has not brought anyone - My mom Didn't go to church one sunday? Do you go to movies instead - One Pastor but my family was going through a hard time Pray for friends? God is your friend why do you need friends. If we don't need any of these, I just want to go to heaven at this point.
I am so sorry you feel this way. Jesus came so you may have life and life more abundantly. Unfortunately, many of the saints have been brainwashed by theologians, teaching their theory and not God's Word. I pray that you spend time getting to know Jesus through His Word. Let God be true and every man a liar (Romans 3:4). 99% of the things we were told about Jesus and His word through religion are false. From personal experience, I have spent time getting to know Jesus all over again, the True Jesus, and I have come to learn how much He loves me... His love is indescribable, noncondemning, fulfilling...I have found liberty in loving Jesus. I will pray that Jesus delivers you from religion. My heart truly goes out to you. I have been where you are. I actually started getting to know Jesus all over again by listening to the Laskeys because their priority is Jesus, knowing Jesus, and obeying God. I stumbled, not by accident upon Patricia Laskey's channel and while listening to a message she shared a few years ago, she stated if you want to know more, to visit her husband's channel on the topic and I have been increasing in my knowledge of Jesus and spending more time with Him ever since and haven't looked back.

This is a powerful subject! I was in an abusive relationship for 8 yrs. I always told my husband that the person on drugs wasn't who he really was. He'd come back and say, "this is how you met me, that's who I am!" BUT GOD!!! Met in '99, turned our lives to God in Feb '08-married March '08... Happily married and serving God together! Been together for 25yrs by the grace of God. I'm not saying everyone should stay. BUT I am saying that With God ALL things are possible!!
