Hotplate Reflow Soldering

My fourth attempt at DIY reflow soldering. The results were still poor. I am bad at this.

I usually heat the pads a bit, then the solder will thin out onto the pads.

how do u prevent the board underside from burnt and what is the ideal max temperature u use?

You need to add more flux. That is why the solder didn't flow properly. You could even run a soldering iron over these pins and get a good result provided you use more flux.
