    Not enough has been heard from the great Billy Strayhorn, who is keeping humbly in a background, as always, in sharp contrast to flamboyant Duke.

    Interviewer asks one question of Strayhorn, gets bored and goes back to the Star. Not very nice.

      I think that’s the way Strayhorn liked it. Ellington was the frontman. This is the first time I’ve actually heard Billy’s voice. For a guy up in Duluth/Superior in 1946, I think the interviewer did a good job.
