I think Chris went officially insane at the end of season 3 because he started to act weird in the first episode of season 4, laughing evilly, exposing the contestants to toxic waste and mutated animals and admitted that he despised teenagers and likes to torture them.
After his arrest, his mental state has gone worse. In season 5, when Chef went to bail Chris out, he was talking to bugs and drew the face of Chef on a cashew nut and was talking to it.

just a reminder, chris actually did care about the contestants safety at least a few times in the earlier seasons, like the disaster movie challenge in season two where he actually wanted chef to turn the water off in the sub, but it broke and chris panicked because of it
Exactly. Also, in season 4, Chris wanted to make a fun challenge using flowers, bubbles and cotton candy but walked into Scott's snare which threw him in the common bathroom and made him bring the red light hard challenge.
The contestants have destroyed most of his stuff (his cabin, statue, plane), Heather threw away his Gemmy awards, Topher tried to replace him and he along with Sierra and Noah gave away personal embarrassing info about Chris. They made fun of his age and looks. No wonder that Chris snapped. Sierra blowing up his plane in season 3 was the last straw. Chris was already crazy in season 4.
But... in that example you gave, the only reason Chris was worries for them was because no contestants = no show and no show = no ratings and no ragings = no job. He said that in the very episode. He didnt say it verbatim but he did say something to that effect. He still had some deceny with him in the earlier season, yes but that example was not an instance of such
@@anonymousperson3023 you do make a good point, but even so he would never be like that for the later seasons and wouldn't actually mind if they were to get badly injured since by that time he cared about getting ratings from stuff like that. so you are right that it doesn't exactly show any care in him, but he was better in the early seasons than the late seasons in a way

I say this because before season three, while he could be sadistic and liked seeing his contestants squirm, he wasn't heartless nor did he intentionally put through challenges or obstacles that could severely hurt or kill them, which could be seen in season one when Gwen was actually at risk of dying when it turned out there was an actual serial killer on the island. had some care for his contestants. in season three, it just slowly went away and you can see that the challenges got more and extreme as well as dangerous compared
to other seasons. I think he just fully broke at the end when Siera blew up his plane.

I just checked and Jude sounds the same as Chris. Usually voice actors change their voice for each character. Total Drama came out after 6teen.The voice actor's name is Christian, so he probably wanted to sound like himself as Chris.
