You can visibly see where Unknown Worlds began to grow in strength and quality as more people played Subnautica, and I find that awesome how the fans basically saved the game and the people who made it from bankruptcy.
ALL developers should take cues from Unknown Worlds. Release your game and let your players test it. Take feedback and add to/improve your game from there. This game is awesome.
Over the years of playing subnautica I went through multiple phases: 1: be terrified of the stalkers and creep vine biome even though I needed sea glide. 2: Decide to go in and kill a stalker with a knife and get sea glide leading me to think I can conquer anything. 3: Regret going to the reapers and dying. 4: Lay low for a week until I get the sea moth and start exploring. 5: Get prawn suit and face the reaper leviathan, I fend it off. 6: Find out about the ghost leviathan and attemp to beat it thinking I’m a god. 7: Become more timid and going back to having a fear of all big creatures. 8: Discover cyclops and start building it. 9: Find our about the sea dragon and go over to it, instead of fighting it I learned my lesson and respected it rather then trying to rule it. Gather all the tools I need and start showing to all the leviathans that I still respect them but this is my ocean
When I first started I wanted to build in the vine Boone but there were 3 stalkers and go some reason I just decided that it's my habitat now so I killed them

Shackle -, well, the game even states at one point it was hostile, but it's only hope is you, so it eats the algae because that's all it has to eat down there, except for animals, but then the player would fear it.
oh I agree I actually got a time cap from a dev that says at the end after working with great writers from the game and such, don't get to comfortable "Winter is coming" I can actually send you a screen shot of the time cap if you like. And in a update on the news of Subnautica they said b4 the 1.0 release or just right after? I know you can prolly still easily find it in the Sub news on Steam "they were 90% on board for the Arctic DLC but not 100% sure but as the game has launched fully and the sales are going only up more I see it happening.

I loved all the updates, they had awesome new takes on sci-fi and the lore baffled me. I’ve never been hit by any games ending harder, If you haven’t gotten this game, buy it. It’s not something you’ll regret and definitely not something you’ll forget.

Up until 14:20 it was all very shoddy, looking more like what a RUclipsr could upload rather than the actual developers of the game with all their available tools to create the perfect cinematic situations.
It would be awesome if we got an improver hardcore which double damage, 1 life and the lifepods and aurora are truly random like your lifepod could go into the dunes or aurora could land crashed into one of the islands
that wouldn’t work since if they Aroura crashed into the blood kelp trench, that would block off the lost river and lava zone, therefore making the game literally unplayable
I remember back when I used to play in ver 19045 and the prawn suit or the interior of the aurora wasn't even added. So much has changed.... I still remember when the terraformer was the green version of the flashlight lol
I played since h.2.O and damn I have memories back from that time I still wonder why they couldn't still have the old water animation it would've been neat for low end PC's but oh well
