I had never heard this hymn until last week. It's not in our Presbyterian hymnal. But it's one of the most majestic, stately hymns I've ever heard. I can't stop listening to it.
This is how this hymn is meant to be played. Ive heard this in Catholic setting and many places are afraid to use reeds. I was attending mass at the seminary and the organist butchered this hymn and used such a weak registration. After he finished and got off the bench, I got on and played it the way it is supposed to be played.
