July 5, 2024 Hi Tom. I'm just tuning in to your video. It's very informative. I am in the process of putting together my AmeriLife prefab-greenhouse, so I am seeking all the knowledge that is already out there on the issues, and fixes for these prefab greenhouses. You have provided several ideas that I liked and will take to heart. The use of the 1x2x8 furring strips, and the tap screws to hold in the panels are just a few ideas I most likely will incorporate into my plan. Thanks again.
Tom great idea using the wood slats! I don't have a planer, but I will have to see if I can find something that will work. What you'll find is these panels age quickly, especially on the roof. As they age, their edges get brittle and the clips, silicone, etc won't hold them. Also, as they age, they bend easier as well. The replacememt panels I got from a greenhouse supply company are much strurdier so far.
I believe I purchased the Neo/Bonded Washers from Griffin Greenhouse Supplies. onliant.griffins.com/hg/searchProdList?pg=1&c=searchIdSingle&contextList=eJyrVipOTSxKzvBMCc7MS89JVbKqViqpLADSUAklHaXkosyS1KLMRKBYeWJxRmpRsVJtLQBIUxQs

So smart using the boards to brace panels. Your modifications are really good. Thank you for the video

Hi Tom hope you doing ok and keeping well. Hope to see you on your fabulous ASMR channel soon 💜
The wood spacers seems to be the way to go, painted green and a little no-more-nails on the ends should hold it.
I have an 8x20 polycarbonate greenhouse that was a kit. I have used 10 tubes of silicone and still haven't done the seams in the roof.
Good video. Just a thought, though. Rather than putting loctite on the screws use nylon locknuts. They're pretty cheap and won't back off.
Can you repost the link for the part? When I click on the US one, it just takes me to the general amazon page.

Very good
Would you mind looking at my solution and give me your opinion?
Caulking
just build the greenhouse out of wood and be done with it. so much wasted time and headaches with that habor freight greenhouse.
