CURRENT SCHEDULE
Expect a new video every Wednesday and Sunday at 11AM Central!
How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a RUclips channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

I love the harvest time. Please give us as much as you can.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Wishing you and your family the best.
Can’t wait to see your house project, we have a 100 plus years old house. It’s taken a quite a bit of work to replace/repair all of it but I think we certainly have made it a home for our family to enjoy. Also enjoy how you work with your cattle no matter what time of day it is.
Thanks!
Hannah is a helll of a fine farm wife. won't see better than that. Greetings from Thailand
Another great video Ryan, thanks for sharing!!! Looking forward to seeing the house project!!
Hey Ryan, Hannah, Dad, Travis, Britteny, Relina and Calvin. Thank you for another video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great work Everybody, and good luck with the new build🙏👍🙂
Great Video, Good to see the corn harvest progressing, thanks for sharing
Median size "SOLAR PANEL" lights. Even "MOTION SENCER" lights. You can move them "AS NEEDED."
love your drone shots and music . Great edits that tell a story.
Need to get a couple solar power lights you can stick up around the cattle lot when you have the cattle shoot set up.
Lind época la de cosecha! Hermosas imágenes como siempre! Un lujo ver tus videos 👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️🇦🇷🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
Loved the drone and music as always, thanks for sharing.
Good luck with the house. Cannot wait to see❤❤
Thanks Ryan! Really well done as usual!
This has Bin one of the best videos I’ve watched ! 👍🏾….. Not to grainy .
Thanks for the great video Ryan sounds like I'd be replanting that that corn for next year's crop did pretty well this year
Always generators for sale on marketplace, grab a couple and work up a few lights on a circuit then crank it up as needed!
Big Red problems: check and clean ALL the grounds on the harness, chassis and batteries. Check alternator output as well and check the batteries for health.
Great job getting the cow taken care of.
Thanks Ryan.
Love the video especially on a Sunday
You know how you say please check out all of the other videos? A few years ago I was laid out convolescening in the hospital and caught up on all of the videos you made to date. I believe as of now I am currently still up todate liking them all.
Happy subscriber. 😊!
It's very cool to see the 9770 at work😉👍 thanks for the amazing video Ryan😄👍
Check the wiring on the fuel solenoid.
Get yourself a couple cheap battery lights with magnets on them. Then you can stick them on the chute
The 4640 go Gravity wagon
It's been awhile since I've seen your channel. I've been very busy with my own business. I'm in Upstate New York Maple producer but I've always enjoyed your channel because I consider you guys to be the real farmers. I had to do some catching up so I just bing watched a whole bunch of your videos!🤠
Was that a new grain cart I saw? You had a green and red one, but that black one? Food to have the family helping out in your family farm.
Add a good fresh ground from the engine block or alternator case to the battery negative and also one to the frame rail.
Time to vacuum the combine. It's attracting babies
Just wondering why you travel to dump in the gravity wagon, and not just dump in semi trailer, , seems like you would be more efficient
Use the gravity wagon to dump into auger to put into bins at the farm. Only goes on the semi if it’s getting sold/shipped out
Good stuff
Ryan, Are you running factory corn rolls and gather chains if not what are you using?
Does the combine have adjustment options on the back for how or how much it shreds the materials and also how it broadcasts it out?
Awesome Video!!
Sounds like injection pump issues on big red
I would look into solar light they are nice i have some and they work good
Hey Ryan!!
Hi Ryan from Indiana
are your guys planning on building another bin the same size or bigger to give you more storage space?
Greetings from South Central Ky. Great video and awesome drone footage Ryan. Hey Ryan speaking of Big Red it could possibly be the computer itself going on the fritz it is the heart of the machine it tells everything engine related how to work I have seen computers to occasionally go bad in cars and pickups I wouldn’t think it would be any different for a truck like Big Red.
Hey Ryan What somebody said about your house I have learned In life Some people do not have filters on their mouths. It can be surprising what comes out of people's mouths.
I would have a look at the injectors regarding the truck.
Good content. 👍
Dang management... ALWAYS sleepin!
Evening from Scotland.. Bad Earth on big Red possibly.. cracking work on the vid and hope all the house work goes to plan to... EG No arguments 👌 😅.. stay safe 🏴
Is your house going to be like a Cole the cornstar project?
Good 👍 video. For some reason I have missed them for the last 4 months. You going to do all the work on your house that Cole the corn shucker is doing 👌 on his?
Draxxin works better for pinkeye cause it is good for 10 days
Are you only filling the 1 bin? Don't you have 2 big bins?
Hi Ryan and everyone from northwest Missouri on Big Red could it be one the fuel injector going bad bud
Where's the auger on that "grain cart" ??
Gravity wagon has a door you open to let the grain flow out. Hence the name gravity wagon. Using gravity to empty it :)
No shit Sherlock. It was sarcasm.
Sounds like an electrical issue.
Are u doing what cole the corn star is doing to his house? Lol
Hello
🚜🚜 Hello Ryan, greetings from the great state of Tennessee, sounds like it is time to trade in big red for something a little more reliable, when they start to nickel and dime you to death time to go. 🚜🚜🦝
