I have the body wash for this scent. I mean it smells good in the shower and will have your house smelling good for a few minutes after. But this scent is generic as it can be. Also its just a rebrand of the Legend scent they already had released a few years ago. And again I would never recommend buying a cologne from B&BW unless its during semi annuals when the sell them for damn near 60% off. The performance just not worth full price. Great review as always though!
ahhh man i found this a day late! I just bought this for my husband yesterday.. I liked it but i want him to have that complimentary smell you’re right it’s not overpowering quite subtle you could possibly layer it with a similar scent. i don’t know I’m a female i just want a good smelling man and the only cologne i really like i Doce and Gabbana what’s a scent that similar father’s day is coming up
Fyi for those who notice the scents dont last long, its by design. They want you to use the lotion with it. Which i have done and that increases the longevity and gives a nice scent trail. So if there is a scent you like grab yhe cologne, the body wash, and the lotion
agree.. using the corresponding lotion helps. just be warned that the newer "Cream" that they sell definitely has a shelf life. I haven't had that problem with the older lotions I have.
I didn’t care for Gingham Legend, and to echo the point that others have made, at this price?!? Big no for me. Buuuuuuuuuuuut…. I did really like Hero. Despite it being a fairly generic blue, it left quite an impression on me.
If it didn't become a skin scent until hour 5, that's better than quite a few edt's and edp's out there! You titled this "cheap cologne?" Cheap at $60? Jovan Musk is a nice smelling "cheap' cologne at around $15. Aqua Velva Musk is too for $5. Is Gingham Legend for $60 really a cheap cologne? Cheap perhaps in comparison to designer colognes and edt's but not compared to the usual B&BW or Zara prices.
Don't waste your money buying these bath and body works cologne. Don't care if they suggest using this and that. I recently purchased suede and sandlewood and trust me. This cologne smelled nothing remotely to this scent. I was so disappointed that I immediately returned it via ebay. The scent doesn't last long at all and I should've ordered my cologne from Cremo. Their suede and sandlewood smells so much better. Made with better qualities and I've gotten many compliments from this one. Again I wouldn't waste my time with none of these although I only tried just one
This scent was a major disappointment, especially after the major strides Body Works has made over the last year. It doesn't get more boring and generic than Gingham Legend. I was reminded of shades of 1980s Ralph Lauren Polo when testing it. It immediately went back onto the shelf.

this one wasn't "it" for me.. I really just didn't understand what they were trying to do here. It didn't seem very well blended.

B&BW "Legend" is the same fragrance as Gingham Legend. This reminds me a bit of the way I remember Stetson Sierra smelling from the 90s.
