- Ok so, I put out a video a few years back and some people still don't know how to send a RUclips video through text. Here is another video explaining how to do that without any "jokes" involved. Please listen closely and follow the directions and you will be able to send a video through text. If you still don't get it, that is mostly a "you" problem. Thanks for watching!

I think what it is, is a lot of RUclipsrs don't try to be offensive as you've mentioned but they sometimes too often get caught up into their RUclips personality rather than just getting to the basic point...

As a boomer I am not at all upset with the jokes because my adult children still come to me with questions of "how do I, where can I" for other things. I any case I figured out how to do it in 3 seconds from your post so thanks and screw people who are too sensitive. Someday your generation will be mocked too!

watched that video. That's me dude. Like getting directions for a destination in a car from people in the street. So they give you a half hours worth of directions. I go to the next street corner and ask someone else. Maybe I stumble across the destination, maybe not.

With an android (OG Nokia) this was a little difficult...but after getting the gestalt, I was able to intuitively follow the idea and it worked! Could you do an android specific version as I think it might help a few of us!

Okay, old man here with the annoying questions... I usually watch RUclips on my Fire Stick or my computer (It's one of thos eyesight things!) Can I text a link to someone from my computer? (I know, eyes are rolling!--I'm from the pre-computer era, born in the 40s) Would appreciate your help. BTW, I did follow your steps to text from my phone. Thanks!

As for your computer question, if you are an Apple tech user ( you have a iPhone and Mac computer, you will be able to text through your computer.
If in fact you have both Apple products: on both devices, You will have to have your Apple ID connected. This allows you to to basically pair your apple iPhone cell number to your laptop.
You will have to search for the green talk bubble icon (like you would on your iPhone to text) on your laptop. Should be at the bottom of your homepage.
If you can’t find it, go to the icon at the bottom of your homepage called “finder” it should look like a face with a blue half face and a white half face.
Click on it and go to the magnifying glass icon at the top right and type in iMessages. It should pop up with the texting app icon that has the green background of the icon and the white talk bubble.(you may have to set it up all the way from that point on. Just follow the instructions from there.
You will then be able to go to RUclips via your laptop’s search engine (whatever that may be, like: safari, google chrome, etc).
From there just copy and paste the RUclips link from the RUclips search bar and paste it into your iMessage text bar on your newly acclaimed iMessage app on your Mac computer.
If you don’t have a Mac computer (Apple product laptop)
You will not be able to send a RUclips video through text because it’s not the same type of company platform. It either has to me Apple products both phone and computer or android/windows products phone and computer.

(Additional info)
I’m sure there is a way to download third party apps and connections if you have an iPhone and a windows or vice-versa, but you will have to go through even more chutes and ladders and it’s not recommended to download third party connections because it can cause viruses and other mishaps that you honestly don’t have the time to deal with.

Every time I send a clip, all my information is attached to it. My RUclips handle, my playlists. Other people send me RUclips songs and clips and it's just the clip itself nothing more. I still can't figure this out

Very misleading. You didn't send a video at all. You sent a link to a video. Show us how to send the video, so it plays without clicking on the link.
Ahh yes. I apologize. It is how to send a video link. You are currently only able to send RUclips videos via RUclips links. But here’s one thing you can do. You can send a video link and there should be a “play” button connected (once sent over to your recipient). Once they receive your video link from RUclips, they can click on the play button; instead of clicking on the link. The video will start playing in the text message thread. Maybe I’ll make a tutorial.
Why not just hit “messages”, instead of “copy link”?
I had made this video a while back. I believe they incorporated the message button later on to make it quicker and with less steps involved

@@Em_Dee_Aitch ok. Interesting. I’m not quite sure why that’s happening. Maybe if you haven’t updated your phone’s firmware or maybe it’s due to the current firmware. Sometimes when there’s updates, things can go wrong with the updates. I’m guessing that it will be fixed at some point soon.

I watch SNL and think most of their jokes are lame, regardless of the laugh track that seems to be playing in the background. But others watch the same SNL episode, and heap praise on the same show. So who is right and who is wrong? People have different standards for what is and is not good comedy. It does take skill to do sarcasm that's funny.
I don't think you're funny or amusing. But, like the SNL audience, there you will have those that praise you. You might label all of your supposedly helpful instructional videos as "Joke" videos.

I can't believe I just watched this video. There is a share button on RUclips that sends the link to a message without leaving RUclips. But usually a thumbnail of the video shows in the message below the link. BUT IT'S NOT HAPPENING NOW. I GOT A NEW PHONE. DO YOU POSSIBLY KNOW HOW TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN AGAIN??
What type of new phone did you get?
@The Real Jim Mac Sansung Galaxy 22. And I just traded in a Samsung Galaxy 21 - which ALWAYS included a thumbnail of the video under the link when I shared it through text message by way of the share button right below the video in RUclips.
When I first got this phone and was setting it up, the first time I shared a RUclips video by text there was a message that popped up asking if I wanted to include the thumbnail, but I was going so fast that I thought I hit done but I guess I hit NO because it never asked again and I can't find the setting anywhere, and even I Google it or search it in RUclips I can only find clipping videos to make a thumbnail or that the thumbnail isn't included with the link when sharing the video on WHATS APP? . .... but nothing about the same problem when sharing through text message.
I'm not illiterate when it comes to phones or computers. My last job of 5 years was office manager of 65 people and I always had to help them with their phones and tablets and PCs, set up their new phones when they got one.... do I promise I'm not stupid. I just can't figure this out.
