When our daughter went to college, we didn't have money to pay for her college, so I always took out a three month loan every semester, and prayed that God help. It was not until her last semester, the third month, the last payment, that when the university clerk gave me a receipt, it hit me: OMG! Her college is paid off!! Thank You, LORD! In Jesus' Mighty Name! Amen!!! We had tithed for about ten years, and when my mother died, we received her home as an inheritance. We are witnesses to the Scripture that says God will bless you with "houses you did not build." We've been very blessed in many other ways, too.
This is nothing but God HIMSELF leading me to your channel. I'm grateful for your obedience. Just about 2 hours ago, I went to the bank to start doubling up on the credit card debt and also to start saving towards my son's college fund. The day I purpose this in my heart to do it, the tip started rolling in to be able to fulfill these obligations. The same God that helped you is the same God that I am serving. My husband just paid off our 13 year old house. I find it amazing that he did this great thing without me working outside of our home. We had the house built from the ground up. We didn't build it ourselves. He paid off our vehicles early as well. Currently we owe nothing. God is the only reason we are doing so well. Our two daughters are grown. My husband and I take every errand and turn into a date. We met at 18 and married at 20. He is now 48, I am 47. God has blessed us in ways I can't express, because I don't understand it. We aren't just financially blessed, we are blessed in every single way❣ We had our poor years when Thomas joined the Airforce. He retired close to 4 years ago. He now has a civil service job. Bob, I have done "#5 - Obey God's Leading when it comes to money" even if it doesn't make sense....but later regretted it because I found myself in a terrible position - financially ruined. Could it be God's will that I have experienced this? When everyone around me is telling me God blesses financially as a reward for faithful obedient living, it is frustrating to have experienced the opposite. I was faithfully tithing, giving from a grateful heart (not out of compulsion), and obeying God's Word and leading, but found myself in financial ruins from a business venture that failed. We believed it was God's will to pursue this business venture that failed. We had been careful to invest prior to this - spend our money wisely, bought a modest home and had modest cars, invested in real estate and 401ks, but ended up losing everything due to the business failure, including our own home. We are also in tremendous debt after years of managing debt well. How do I reconcile this? I want to believe because the Bible says God provides financially, but it's hard to believe when life proves otherwise.
Another great message Bob! As we look at direction for living in God's plans, He ordained for us to live in community. Each of us has specialized God-given skills with which we can SERVE OTHERS. In God's plan, they, in turn, reward us with "thank you notes". We mortals call it money. What a concept! Traditional retirement means you are no longer serving His kids with your specialized skills! I don't think we get more money; I don't know of anywhere in the Bible where it says God will give us more money if we give Him more money. It says God will give us more, but that is blessings in general

On one hand debt is debt, but at the same time the examples of debt that I see in the Bible weren't people using debt as leverage to earn more (like a rental prop with a mortgage) . No one wins. It seems like a get-out-of-jail-free card, but you can't get away from it for a long time. Everything from buying a car, to renting an apartment, to even getting a job in some cases will be affected by it for years to come.

I hear conflicting information about paying off debt that has gone to collections. Most say dont pay it after 6mo.- 1 yr. When paying it off will still leave me with a very poor credit number, is it worth it?

Not that I recommend abusing or even using anything because of a system built on failure. However, my main debt was due to not having medical care for 15 years so I couldn't afford not to die then, nor pay the charges that occured to stay alive and have my credit intact. I was asking you the question because you seemed to have knowledge about the credit situation. Not even as a Christian, but as anyone, I think you ought to be discerning in your responses because that comes off a bit pretentious.

Giving, JOYFULLY, and expecting nothing back, is the key. You will notice a difference. Romans 13:8 says "Owe no man any thing.. . but aren't we going to owe, if we have lights, water, phone, insurance, etc? Or should we live off the grid? There was taxes during biblical times. I don't think there was utility bills and such, so idk about that.
Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. God showed me that keeping the Sabbath meant among other things, not to work on the Sabbath for there is NO profit in working on the Sabbath. Sabbath is for resting in the Lord.
Additionally, there is NO retirement in the kingdom of God. If you're alive on this earth you are not retured, you are still on assignment from heaven.
The New Testament tells us that Jesus became our Sabbath and nailed this to the cross, forever. We do not recognize this any more. Only the Word of God can show you this by the Spirit of God.

I'm am Atheist. But I'm always being told how "Christian" I am in my life. I find that I don't NEED a diety..God..spirit..to tell me to do things for others..I have everything I NEED and WANT..I have raised 9 children..4 biological, 5 adopted..and I have been a single mom since 1995..( husband died at work..). To need a being, God..Diety..to tell you what to do or reinforce the lessons in life that you missed out on..says more to me than this video can fix.
Peggy, I don't follow Jesus because I need someone to tell me what to do. I follow Him because my life was nothing less than a terrible mess without Him and following Him has brought me peace, hope, and joy and a cleaning of my mess. Following Jesus is an invitation for an amazing journey - not at all a list of obligations
We have all been born into sin thru Adam and Eve. You may be a good person but we All sin and need a Savior. God the creator((we didnt just appear) sent His Son Jesus. Read John 3:16. Its your chioce but we will all have to stand before God one day and give an accout. We cant get by on our own goodness... Have you seen whats going on in the world. ..judgement is coming

Malachi 3:10 seems to be at work in your life. It is in part a result of your obedience to God’s word in your giving. When God gives back, the blessings aren’t always monetary.
You should’ve been more specific. Tithe & offering should be number one. I’m so thankful to God that was the topic on first sermon I heard when I became a Christian. The Lord is so Faithful!

I don't think we get more money; I don't know of anywhere in the Bible where it says God will give us more money if we give Him more money. It says God will give us more, but that is blessings in general

How do you think the debt applies to a rental house? I just purchased one, and like most I'm using a mortgage.
I don't have an answer that I am happy with for that yet. On one hand debt is debt, but at the same time the examples of debt that I see in the Bible weren't people using debt as leverage to earn more (like a rental prop with a mortgage) . It is something I have been seeking an answer to for years - i'd love to hear your thoughts as well

How do you feel about declaring bankruptcy?
No one wins. It seems like a get-out-of-jail-free card, but you can't get away from it for a long time. Everything from buying a car, to renting an apartment, to even getting a job in some cases will be affected by it for years to come.
@@SeedTime the people I know that filed goes right back In Debt. Like you said a get out of jail free card. I worked 2jobs. My Credit is up to 695 and lowest 640. Not excellent but enough to get me approved for a small home😃

The rest He refers to is to depend/ trust ie have faith in Him to be your supply and not depend on your own works. Nothing to do with the weekly Sabbath
There something that I believe should be pointed out....do Not give to others or pastor or church and you neglect your family that they are lacking....God loves family first.
My husband does that and we are always lacking. Now he's way behind in property taxes. What to do? He says nothing, to just trust God.

I hear conflicting information about paying off debt that has gone to collections. Most say dont pay it after 6mo.- 1 yr. When paying it off will still leave me with a very poor credit number, is it worth it?
It might, but the bigger question you might want to ask is what would be most pleasing to the Lord?
@@SeedTime Well the Lord knows a lot of our wordly systems were created in a way to be unfair to the majority to begin with. Not that I recommend abusing or even using anything because of a system built on failure. However, my main debt was due to not having medical care for 15 years so I couldn't afford not to die then, nor pay the charges that occured to stay alive and have my credit intact. I was asking you the question because you seemed to have knowledge about the credit situation. Not even as a Christian, but as anyone, I think you ought to be discerning in your responses because that comes off a bit pretentious.

But how do you know God doesn’t want you to look for a job or take a good job in your example? If I knew it was God, I would be like easy I’ll do whatever he wants for me, but I could never see myself doing something that doesn’t make sense to me like that unless I was positive it was God. And I have never had a feeling like that and knew it was God

If you research “sherry Jackson” a former irs agent” you will find that you do NOT have to pay taxes on your labor. Only if you have capital gains, meaning a corporation. Research this!
This is true. The Supreme Court has, on multiple occasions, defined income as profit or gain and is written to explicitly exclude wages and compensation.
As Americans, born in the 50 States, our labor is a 1:1 exchange for our wages and the govt has no claim on it unless our right is voluntarily given up.
True.The constitution says we can not be forced to pay taxes on earned income.We can be taxed on purchases but not money earned.

Romans 13:8 says "Owe no man any thing.. . but aren't we going to owe, if we have lights, water, phone, insurance, etc? Or should we live off the grid? There was taxes during biblical times. I don't think there was utility bills and such, so idk about that.

Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. God showed me that keeping the Sabbath meant among other things, not to work on the Sabbath for there is NO profit in working on the Sabbath. Sabbath is for resting in the Lord.
Additionally, there is NO retirement in the kingdom of God. If you're alive on this earth you are not retured, you are still on assignment from heaven.
The New Testament tells us that Jesus became our Sabbath and nailed this to the cross, forever. We do not recognize this any more. Only the Word of God can show you this by the Spirit of God.
