Can you explain me why you still shot Fire ammo at its broken chest before firing Pierce ones ? I do know you can't shot at it as long as the tar is intact but you already broke its chest once so...

Great run mai after a 2 year break im finally back to playing 4u and I wanted to ask if there is like a place a website or discord where I could learn overall basics of how to build a practical gunner set. Since I'm kinda tired of hacking and bopping monsters and would like to try and dive into the world of mh gunning. (Or literally anyone give me some sound tips/advice)
There are a lot of useful guides on Gamefaqs ^^ The Key to gunning is understanding how the ammo you are shooting works and what type of ammo you should use against monsters , for exemple Great Jaggi is small and thin , so it is better to use normal(s) or elemental , gravios is big pierce it all the way Sets of Armor depends of charms and weapon (hbg/lbg) I run a full mutsu set (Jhen morhan ) with the seregios furia and oh boi it destroys nearly everything as long as you have a good charm to complete the flaws of the set

You can also look up MH4U armor set search to find good sets Molten tigrex armor can be interesting because it provide (if i do recall good) brutality and some other raw boosting attributes And mastering the critical range of ammo to keep doing the maximum damage output is essential (when the screen is shaking when the bullet hit the target it means it is in critical range , ammo have all different ranges) All the terms I used may be wrong I've never played the game in english Hope you will do great in the gunning world , have a nice time :)

Can you share your PC specs? I'm currently playing MH4U on Citra Rasp but its nowhere near as smooth as this. Just want to make sure whether it is due to my PC or the emulator.
@@mailbg9704 I do have the 1.1 update and the cheat for 3D mode off. So there is no lag during monster roars or anything like that. It is just that the FPS drops at times, which makes the game play rough. I also have the cheat for 60fps lock, but the frames still drop. I will try using the valentin build, however knowing the required specs for CPU and GPU would be more useful.
@@Typhy7 weakest system ive played it on with no issues for solo play was a laptop with an i5 and a 1050ti at 720p in valentin. But it wouldnt run as good in multiplayer.

Heck how would that be something special for a speedrunner? I was able to do it in about 25min with melee back then, so how would someone like MaiLBG have problems with it? He even did it in 10min.
@@IOICYRA It has a ton of HP and can hit pretty hard, but once you've learned the fight it is not as hard as other monsters, it just takes a while due to the massive HP. But the first few fights are brutal indeed, i remember my first attempts, 2 player with my brother. Simply put, we got annihilated. But once i got the hang of it, i managed to solo it quite consistently. Just like every fight in MH, practice is key. ;)
Great run, always glad to see this thing die, WAY too much HP so takes ages despite being stupidly easy to fight, at least better than hypers though...
@@laall2327 It's not a bad fight, just WAY too much HP (18000 base, meaning before G-rank multiplier) because they assume you'll be hunting multiplayer and also that you'll use the dragonators/demolisher/cannons, that's all I'm saying.
@@Farhan-ny8wt Exactly, blademasters have to keep chasing after the stupid limbs while it's moving around all the time and they aren't even good hitzones (similar monsters like Xeno'jiiva in World which is also big instead have lots of easy to reach weakspots making them an acceptable tradeoff) being at only 35 or 40, making it very troublesome to trip on top in order to get a good opening since the stagger for them is stupidly high (800+)! Slow weapons like GS (what I main) or GL that can't just chase after the limbs end up doing almost no damage unless you try to snipe or spam binders... What I have to do to consistently hit the legs without having to bother chasing after it is getting the Sneak skill and hoping it will focus on my cat so it won't move much, but even that doesn't always work.

You use fire shots to break the chest first otherwise pierce ammo won't work.

Plays a lot better on valentin with 3d mode off and 4u 1.1 update, if you don't have any of those things I suggest looking into them

Time attack which refers to a certain set of "rules" placed on speedruns. Can't use demolisher binder or dragonator in this particular case.

Tho tho add to that the fact that it’s huge and it’s limbs are constantly moving out of reach for melee drags out the fight even longer :/
