If you order a set of three or six, I believe they make sure they come from the same big box so the probability of having the same doll is non-existant. But if it happens, you can contact them and they will exchange the repeated doll for you. That is some good service.
Im so glad so many fashion doll channels are reviewing these blind box bjd. Strung dolls sre really a different experience to hinge jointed dolls and until you handle one its easy to kind of dismiss them as all the same.
As far as the stringing goes I changed the way my mermaid chuchu was strung. They chose to go the traditional bjd method by having an S-Hook in the head but to me it interferes with the eye mechanism and causes the head to gap. I swapped the s hook for a short metal bar and it solved the stringing issue.
Never be scared to restring a bjd. Thats one advantage they have over hinge jointed dolls. Tightening or looseing the strings can really change the way they pose.
That’s interesting to know about the head! I’ll admit I’m definitely nervous to restring haha but maybe I’ll give it a go sometime
@@FaeryTaleDolls the thing yo remember is the worst that can happen is maybe cutting the elastic to short and having to buy more elastic. Unless you are just using a wild amount of force you cant really break anything restringing a bjd ❤️
The chuchu ones from what I learned can be mixed and matched and the strings can be tightened, the website shows them being mixed and the hands can be changed too
These dolls are just so beautiful. I have one of the centaurs from the same people and she's just.. something else. def wanna pick up a mermaid at some point
These are so cute, definitely some of the best mermaid dolls in my opinion. The Chinese art dolls KikaGoods carrys are sooo good. Speaking of which I have ordered from KikaGoods once and I also had a really good experience with the shipping. I don't remember how long it was anymore, but It was really fast especially considering it was shipping from China to the US. Also I had a really lucky blind box experience as well. I ordered one blind box, I was trying to get this deer girl that's in one of the lines and I got her!!

My favourite is the 1st one you unboxed with the unicorn horn. I love her long braids. But the high low dress the 2nd one came with is so pretty.

I was very pleasantly surprised 🥰 like many things (at least for me) they were better in person than photos online
You should be able to push the hair part together a little more sometimes its just really stiff and takes a bit of force.
For the chuchu mermaids its easiest to take the face and hair off and go in through the torso joint. The string should be clamped ( at least it was on my friends) and we were able to just pull one of the strings through the clamp with a pair of pliers to tighten the doll strings.
Also, I have bought from kida several times and shipping has been pretty good it usually take a week and half to 2 weeks

On the smaller mermaids I don't care for the big open channel down their stomach. A small ruffle around the waist would have help to cover that up, the other dolls have dresses.

The crotch gash is a little weird.
It's the only way they can sit. Ones that don't have that can't sit in a natural looking way. It's a worthy sacrifice imo
