कई दिनों से 1980 की हिट फिल्मों के एपीसोड का इंतज़ार था हमेशा की तरह बहुत अच्छा लगा। । आपने एपीसोड के आखिर में अपनी पसंद की टाप 3 या अधिक फिल्मों के बारे मे बताने को कहा है तो मै अपनी पसंद की फिल्मों को क्रमवार बताने का प्रयास कर रहा हूं इन फिल्मों में मैने हिट या फ्लाप को आधार नहीं रखा है ये मेरी पसंद की है वो कहते हैं न पसंद अपनी अपनी। तो मैं अपनी पसंदीदा फिल्मों का जिक्र करना चाहता हूं।
A शान 1980 की इस भव्य फिल्म में मुझे सुनील दत्त साहब का अपहरण का सीन बहुत स्टाईलिश लगा था फिर सुनील दत्त के शाकाल के अड्डे से शिकारी कुत्तों का पीछा करने का सीन भी रोचक है।
B कुर्बानी ये फिल्म फिरोज खान के शानदार निर्देशन की वजह से अपील करती है। फिल्म में असली मर्सिडीज कार को तोड़ने का सीन रोमांचित करता है साथ ही अमजद खान साहब का अभिनय भी तारीफ के काबिल था ।
C कर्ज सुभाष घई की ये फिल्म पुनर्जन्म में नये प्रयोग किये जाने के कारण और लक्ष्मी प्यारे की गिटार पर बनाई सिग्नेचर टयून के कारण हमेशायाद रहती हैं कहा जाता है कि लक्ष्मी प्यारे ने एक चुनौती की वजह से ये फिल्म की थी क्योंकि घई इस फिल्म के लिए जूनियर बर्मन को लेना चाह रहे थे न सिर्फ लक्ष्मी प्यारे ने चुनौती स्वीकार की बल्कि इसे हिट भी करके दिखाया गिटार की इस सिग्नेचर टयून का एच एम वी ने अलग से E.P रिकार्ड निकाला था वो भी खूब चला था ।
D इंसाफ का तराजू चोपड़ा साहब की इस फिल्म ने जनमानस के साथ मुझे भी झकझोर दिया था फिल्म के कोर्ट सीन चुभते संवाद राज बब्बर और जीनत अमान का अभिनय फिल्म की जान थे ।
E खूबसूरत ये फिल्म अपने नाम के अनुरूप ही बेहद खूबसूरत थी क्योंकि मैं ॠषि केश मुखर्जी की फिल्मों का प्रशंसक हूं इसीलिए इस फिल्म का मेरे लिये एक विशेष स्थान है ।रेखा और दीना पाठक का अभिनय फिल्म की जान था ।

राकेश जी, आशा फिल्म का बजट शायद एक करोड़ से भी नीचे था क्योंकि मैंने उस समय के अखबारों और फिल्म पत्रिकाओं में इस फिल्म की समीक्षा पढ़ी थी हां, फिल्म का कलेक्शन की चर्चा उस समय फिल्म जगत में चर्चा का विषय थी। मौ रफी का यादगार माता का भजन बहुत अधिक बजा था शायद इस फिल्म के निर्माता को मां वैष्णो का फुलटू आशीर्वाद प्राप्त हुआ था मजे की बात आपको बताना चाहूंगा कि इस भजन का ऐसा प्रभाव जनता पर पड़ा कि माता वैष्णोदेवी यात्रा पर श्रद्धालुओं की संख्या एकदम से बढ़ गई थी।
आप की उस दौर की फिल्मों की अनसुनी बातें सुनकर उस दौर की यादें ताजा हो जाती है इन सब फिल्मों को मैंने उस जमाने के सिंगल स्क्रीन सिनेमाघरों में बहुत भीड़भाड़ और तो और ब्लैक में टिकटें खरीद कर देखा है।

A very good year. Most of these are favourites: Qurbani, Dostana, Alibaba aur 40 Chor, The Burning Train, Karz, Asha, Ram Balraam. Even Judai has a solid story. I don't like Jyoti Bane Jwala, and Shaan that I cannot even watch.

Your video is amazing as always but I need to correct you on a couple of things. 1) song from Judaii w Jetendra and Aruna Irani is copied from the group ABBA's famous song Voulez Vous. And 2) Karz was a flop according to Rishi Kapoors' own book. Because of which he went into depression cause 1 week later Qurbani released and stole the show. Just thought I would add it in. But I liked all the movies in the list. I have enjoyed watching them all through my younger years in life. Thanks for ur hard work on the info 👍 🌹

This was the year of Jeetendra. Rekha and Zeenat Aman also had a great year too. People excepted Shaan to be the biggest hit of the year but Qurbani came from nowhere. 😅. Laxmikant Pyarelal had a great year too. Their music dominance went on until 1990. 😊

Apart from these I loved the burning train and shaan as well. I still haven't watched asha, ram balram, Judai, jyoti bane Jwala, and alibaba and 40 chor yet. Hopefully I will like Asha, Ram Balram, judaai as well. I think most of the films in the list are good. But Karz is a cult classic. This year indeed was turning point of jeetendra's career. Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna continued their neck to neck competition at the box office and dharmendra maintained his consistency. They all were stars of these year. As a filmmaker and actor Feroz khan ke liye bhi yeh saal bahoot hi special raha because of Qurbani topping the list. Zeenat Aman was no doubt the star of this year followed by rekha. @rakeshsadeo I agree with you, they all 4 deserve to be there but all I was just saying if you could add feroz khan in the thumbnail because then we will have all 5 actors in the thumbnail instead of 4 like some of your early episodes where there are 5 or even 6 actors in the thumbnail.
