    I picked up some soft firebricks today but only got 5, I was thinking of using two hard bricks for the floor, think that will work ok?

      That’s what my floor was I just lined it with some off cut soft bricks but hard is fine for the floor all my themselves

    Cool video. Couldn't you have used refractory cement also to keep the bricks together?

      Refractory cement could be used to coat the inside for added durability but refractory mortar is for holding the bricks together under the high heat I’m sure it would work but cement and mortar are different with different purposes so I stuck with what I knew
