Most of the time when I listen to Home Free I don't even hear a beatboxer, just drums. Then they cut to Adam Rupp's face and I remember that's a person doing that.
Love this song! The biggest difference to me between this & the original is that HF made it very bass heavy with a huge beat that really makes you rock! Between Tim & Chance's bass, it becomes mind blowing!! Both Blake & Trace (who was feat on the original) gave them a shout out when it was released. Blake said it was "Awesome"! How cool is that?!! Now do a serious & beautiful one, "In The Blood". Thx guys! Loved the reaction - again!!
Adam cut his hair recently that's the only change that he has personally made. The original seemed to be poking fun of people in my opion, but this video just makes it seem like it's a party, you want to be there.
You're right about poking fun - both sides seem to look down on the other. I've never been able to take to Blake's version because of that and so didn't want Home Free to do the song BUT love their version.
The beat boxer, Adam Rupp, is the same. He's the only original member, also founder, of Home Free. The baritone changed, though. It used to be Chris Rupp, brother of the beat boxer and co-founder of the group, But he left to pursue other musical projects last spring. New baritone is Adam Chance (goes by Chance) who was the bass singer in Street Corner Symphony before joining Home Free. Chance is the one playing the nerdy guy in this video. He's the one doing the bass line in this song. Thanks for a great reaction!
Adam had grown his hair long so he could donate it.. which he did.. so now it is short. The guys have a way of giving songs their little som'thin som'thin that makes their songs special. Thanks guys!! Just wait.. they are going to be releasing videos for their new album Timeless soon!!! Great songs on there with 4 new originals!! Love your reactions!
Beatboxer is the same, he just had longer hair in some videos. The baritone changed over the years in the group though, some older videos you will see the cowboy hat guy Chris Rupp (beatboxer Adam Rupp's brother) Chris went to do his own solo career and helped start another group with his sister in it. Adam Chance stepped in as baritone/bass and the group really didn't skip a beat he fit so well in the group.
Thanks for another great reaction! From your expressions and movements I could tell you were really liking this version! Home Free just has a way with their songs that converts a lot of people to love it! Such as Justin Timberlakes Can't Stop The Feeling....I don't care for his version at all! Home Free released their cover of it and I absolutely love it! You should check it out and react to that one! Can't wait to see more reactions from you!
Wow! That's exactly the way I felt about the song!..Founder of the group "ADAM RUPP-FARGO 2017" (along w/Chris who went solo last year, w/their support) grew his hair out last year, then New Year's eve, cut it/donated to "Locks of Love" for kids w/cancer, etc!...He's an insane beatboxer!! *PLZ REACT* to their *CAN'T STOP THE FEELING" & Origi- nals (by Tim): *EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY" & hilarious *CHAMPAGNE TASTE ONA BEER BUDGET* !!...Thx!! :) (BTW, they're all multu-instrumentalists, who started out soul/pop, so can sing anything)!!
In the country fried pop medley, Chris Rupp (founding member) was on the right wearing a cowboy hat. He has moved on to a solo career and they brought in Adam Chance with the short beard. The beatboxer is Adam Rupp (founding member and Chris' brother). Excellent beard is Rob Lundquist with a pure voice and long hair guy is Austin Brown with the high notes and a lot of soul in his voice. Check out My Church, Can't Stop this Feeling, and Butts Remix if you want to have a great time.
I mean no disrespect to any of the original artists / versions but so far, I've always preferred Home Free's versions to the original ones. I agree with Marco that HF's covers seem to add something that at least some original versions might have been missing. I simply love HF's covers and yes, their covers made me enjoy songs I didn't necessarily enjoy in their original versions, too. My #1 suggestion is *Blue Ain't Your Color* because while I really enjoyed Keith Urban's version, I simply fell in love with HF's take on that song. #2 would be *In The Blood* for very similar reasons. I really liked John Mayer's original but I think HF's arrangement is breathtaking and it features Tim a lot. ;) And #3 would be *Everything Will Be Okay* (written by Tim Foust) because I would love you to react to a HF original as well. :) Thank you.
The beatboxer is still Adam Rupp. However, one of the singers, Chris Rupp, left and was replaced by Adam Chance (the one wearing black and white plaid who had a solo in this video).
Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, is in fact the only original member of HomeFree. Three of the other four have been together since they became well known. Adam’s brother Chris Rupp was another founding member but he split a year or so ago. Speaking of that the Rupp family has pure talent. Look up Chris Rupp and sister and watch them together.
Hey ya'll......Thank you sooo much for doing another HOME FREE reaction. They have a way of giving a song a little "sumpin sumpin" and making it their own without drastically changing the song. There are so so many of their songs that I actually like better than the original. I am so glad I found you guys (through HOME FREE). I love to watch your faces while you are listening to the song (I know you are listening for the bass). I can tell what your reaction is going to be. When you started swaying in your seat and smiling I knew it was going to be a positive review!!! Please Please keep reacting to HOME FREE. Their songs usually are upbeat and leaving you smiling and uplifted. One that I will suggest, after seeing your reaction on the "Country Fries Pop Medley", is to watch/listen to "The Butts Medley". This is another mashup of I think it is 6 songs....everything from country and pop to hip hop combined to make an awesome video and song. I hope you have a great rest of the weekend and a big shout out from Southern Middle Tennessee USA !!! Keep up the HOME FREE reactions .......you'll be hooked like the rest of us!!
I'd love Home Free for AGES! First saw them on Sing Off Season 4. Their harmony and the energy and work they put into each song makes it (and them) the BEST!
That's not the first time I've heard someone say that they didn't like a song, until they heard Home Free's version of it. And no....It's the same beatboxer, but he did have longer hair for a while, though, and is now back to a shorter style. The only one who changed was the baritone, Chris Rupp--- who's Adam's the beatboxer's brother and co-founder of the group for years. He went out on his own early last year, and Chance from 'Street Corner Symphony' who is a baritone/bass, took his place.
Yeah, Cindy... it's funny that they thought the bestboxer changed (he didn't), but they didn't notice that the baritone DID change. Hahaha I guess Chance is a better actor than I realized. :-)
this song makes me want to get my old hillbilly bones out there dancing. lol thanks for the reaction smiles and love to you check out the live video your man tim goes way low in that one.
Thanks for another Home Free reaction. I'm sure many of the other fries' already mentioned it, but the beatboxer is the same, and his hairstyle is even pretty much the same in Ring Of Fire (he's changed hairstyle several times). I would love for you to react to Home Free's Fishin' In The Dark / Boondocks. And perhaps Good Ol' Country Harmony - Then you'll get a short introduction of the guys (although not entirely accurate).
So Home Free made you like a song you didn't like before Marco. They have a habit of doing that. Ali is right. Adam Rupp the beatboxer has never been replaced. He is the only original member left. The previous videos you saw featured baritone Chris Rupp (founder of Home Free and Adam's brother). Chris left to pursue other passions and he was replaced with Chance mid 2016. Chance is a former bass from a cappella group StreetCorner Symphony. I really think that next you should react to ELVIRA. You get legendary bass Richard Sterban and Tim Foust. It's a win win!!
Love your reaction! The difference for me is the bassheavy arr with 2basses + HomeFreeGuys have a magical touch to their covers. Most(if not all) of the songs, I like their version better then the original. Really looking forward to your next reation of HFsongs. Maybe a serious one, "In The Blood" or one more funny one "Thank God I'm a Country Boy".
I finally watched/listened to Blake's version and it was very good. That said I give Home Free's version a slight edge because of the "We Will We Will Rock You" foot stomps/hand claps, Tim's bass and the beatboxer.
Until early in 2017, Adam Rupp (beatboxer) had longer hair, sometimes tied back in a pony tail. I believe it was at the end of 2016 (or somewhere close to that) that he cut his hair and it went to one of the charities that makes wigs for cancer patients. Since this was one of their new videos in 2017, you are seeing the short-haired Adam Rupp here. He's still the same beatboxer, though. That will never change, I think. ;-)
Chris Rupp (Adam's (beatboxer) brother) left the group. Adam and Chris are the founding members. I love the revised HomeFree with the vocal range Chase brought. They have found their voice and enjoy showing off the many different ways they can form such magnificent harmonies while doing amazing lead vocals and having fun. You like beatboxing so much you should check out Adam's drum solo ... don't know how he does it.
It's still Adam the same beatboxer he just changed his hair--again. l just saw them in concert for the release of their new album and now it's spikey. Still, Adam, you can't miss his incredible beat. lol
They Killed this! Their versions of songs is So Much Better...They know how to make it their own!!! Thanks for this Guys! They do change peoples minds on songs. Adam Rupp is still the beatboxer; he is So Talented!!! You should checkout one of Adam's drum solos. Blake and Trace BOTH liked Home Free's version..so it's OK to like it better too.
huge Blake Shelton fan, but like you mentioned didn't love this song. HomeFree's rendition was SICK! first time listening to this version during your reaction. Great song, and great reaction as usual! Love you guys! First listened to you on VOCTAVE reactions and have branched out and listened to a few more artist reactions you've done. Keep doing what you're doing! Love it! :-)
There are so many Home Free songs you would love. Even if you are a "bass" lover all the guys Austin with his high tenor and Rob with " a voice of an angle" quote from Austin. Then you have Adam the beat boxer and the new voice "bass" as well Adam. My favorite songs are How great thou art, Tim's original Champaign taste on a beer budget. honey I'm good has massive deep notes in it too. Love, In the blood and Blue ain't your color as well as My Church. Reply
be careful we will soon turn you into home fries. which is the name all their fans use to describe themselves. look up one of the live videos of adam rupp beatbox it is amazing.
Tim is a much better singer than Blake. The Baritone changed into a whole new guy, Adam Chance replaced Chris Rupp. The other thing they did was cut the arrangement down considerably and cleaned it up.
Hi all. I think that by the time that I write this, you will already know that the "beat-boxer"-Adam Rupp, is still there. His brother, Chris Rupp, left to pursue a solo career. The new Baritone, Adam Chance, has a beautiful voice. So, you've got Tim-Bass, Austin-tenor, Rob-tenor, Adam Chance-baritone, and Adam Rupp-beat box.....This is Home Free. Yeah, I know that you knew all that, but just in case, there it is for you. You know with Avi leaving Pentatonix, I was disappointed to find out that Chris had left the group back in 2016. I feel so out of the loop. That's what I get for NOT paying attention to music. (I had lost my ability to sing, and I didn't want to be reminded. BUT, Pentatonix got me fired up to sing, and now....it;s back. Well, most of it is back. Got to exercise it.) So, now that I'm singing again, I'm all over Home Free. Who is capable of NOT singing with them? I'm not. I HAVE to join in. Those tight harmonies are so irresistible to a singer. AND, yes, I'm making sure to learn all the parts. That's who I was as a singer. I had a range that lent itself to wherever I was needed, but I was a mezzo soprano. Yeah, I can sing second alto, too. (Even lower now.) I wrote another book! Sorry. Thanx, Mindy
IT'S A FUN SONG !!!!!! It requires a sense of humor, love of DRINKING, LAUGHING, LOOKING AT HONEY BABES IN SCANTY CLAD SKIN TIGHT JEAN SHORTS ..... c'mon Bubba ! Get ya some !!!!! Sad to hear your reaction. GBjj
Sometime "positions" will change. If Adam, who usually beatboxes, is taking vocals for a part Tim my take the beatboxing for that time. Of if, like on particular song, Tim takes the tenor part Chance will go to the bass part. Nothing is written in stone with this band.
I am really glad they added Chance in. You very rarely hear harmony at the bass and baritone level, much less of such quality.. Usually there will *a* bass or baritone that harmonizes with the upper ranged singers, but not multiple deep voices at the same time. HF already had the mid and high ranges nailed (even more so with Tim able to kick! see: Mayday - holy crap Tim!) Adding in Chance, who is nearly as deep as Tim, gives their songs a new richness and depth that wasn't there before. Although I am sad to see Chris leave, Chance is an incredible addition to the group. sad thing is.... I can't stand country music, but really like this group. Go figure.
How many a capella groups have *_two_* bass singers (singing totally different parts!!)?
RMoribayashi - Ikr?!! Very cool!!
Home Free has a great way of adding "umph" to everything they cover :)
"Did the beatbox changed?"
No.. it's just Adam Rupp's hair just going through phases :D
Another killer video. These boys love to have fun.❤️❤️❤️
You put your finger on it. The first version was mocking a stereotype of city people. Mean-spirited and boasting. This one welcomes everyone.
The beat boxer, Adam Rupp, is the same. He's the only original member, also founder, of Home Free. The baritone changed, though. It used to be Chris Rupp, brother of the beat boxer and co-founder of the group, But he left to pursue other musical projects last spring. This is just such a fun song!
Austin Brown, high tenor, Rob Lundquist, tenor, Adam Chance, baritone, Tim Faust bass, Adam Rupp, beat box.

I love watching you guys! I love Home Free so glad you enjoy them! Yes, same beat boxer...he cut his hair..lol.
I'd love Home Free for AGES! First saw them on Sing Off Season 4. Their harmony and the energy and work they put into each song makes it (and them) the BEST!

Please react to "Home Free - Elvira (feat. The Oak Ridge Boys)". I guarantee you'll like it!
YASS
Absolutely. I don't think there is anything Home Free video they wouldn't like.
Home Free can make anybody love a song that they never even liked before.
There are a number of songs that I am not into but I dig the Home Free cover... All About That Bass is the biggest
The beatboxer is still Adam Rupp. He was growing out his hair to donate. Now it short again.
this song makes me want to get my old hillbilly bones out there dancing. lol thanks for the reaction smiles and love to you check out the live video your man tim goes way low in that one.

It is the same beat boxer Adam Rupp Great reaction guys Here is another video you may enjoy ruclips.net/video/Wgm9gZs1hYw/видео.html
I know it's a Christmas song, but could you react to Homefree's do you hear what I hear. It is AMAZING!!!!
My favorite Christmas song! I shiver every time I hear them sing this. Haven't heard anyone else sing it as well.
I don't like Blake Shelton's version of this at all! Home Free gave it a more .......'meaty' sound to it! Tim Foust......oh yeah!
uhm hell no
@@ki11atj49 Yup it's true Tim Foust and the rest of them make this song sound so much better.
I think this version is WAAAY better, but the song is still super dumb.
I finally watched/listened to Blake's version and it was very good. That said I give Home Free's version a slight edge because of the "We Will We Will Rock You" foot stomps/hand claps, Tim's bass and the beatboxer.

I would never listen to Elvira by Oak Ridge Boys, or a couple of other original songs, but Home Free makes them pleasurable!!
The baritone changed. The best boxer cut his hair.
*beat boxer
It's still Adam the same beatboxer he just changed his hair--again. l just saw them in concert for the release of their new album and now it's spikey. Still, Adam, you can't miss his incredible beat. lol
The only change in people is that the brother (Chris Rupp)of the beat boxer (Adam Rupp), left and Adam Chance joined.
Guys, not sure how... but Home Free has this uncanny ability to... to change? the receptability? (
They Killed this! Their versions of songs is So Much Better...They know how to make it their own!!! Thanks for this Guys! They do change peoples minds on songs. Adam Rupp is still the beatboxer; he is So Talented!!! You should checkout one of Adam's drum solos. Blake and Trace BOTH liked Home Free's version..so it's OK to like it better too.
its same beatboxer :) and ty for reaction
So many to choose from. Try “When a man loves a woman “.
Adam the beatbox just changed his looks xD
huge Blake Shelton fan, but like you mentioned didn't love this song. HomeFree's rendition was SICK! first time listening to this version during your reaction. Great song, and great reaction as usual! Love you guys! First listened to you on VOCTAVE reactions and have branched out and listened to a few more artist reactions you've done. That was amazing!!!!......😍😍😍🎵🎶🎶🎶🎵
be careful we will soon turn you into home fries. which is the name all their fans use to describe themselves. look up one of the live videos of adam rupp beatbox it is amazing.
Adam Rupp is the beatboxer and he cut his hair
Adam Rupp has been the beatboxer from the beginning. The only one different is Adam Chance took over baritone when Chris Rupp left.
Marco, it seems you found your hillbilly bone.... haha. It was fun watching you gradually not able to keep your straight face.... made me giggle.
I have seen this performed live and daaaaaaamn those hips!
BINGO!
Hey guys! Adam is still the same beatboxer, he just got a haircut!
So many times, Home Free and Pentatonix have done covers that I enjoyed soooo much more than the "original" artist.
i have a request can you guys give a reaction on Chris Rupp - Movin On
Have you heard home free's cover of Boondocks, its great, check it out.
Oh yeah, Boondocks is great! Home Free does an awesome job on it.
Home Free reminds me a country version of Pentatonix.
Thank you again for this reaction! Have you done "In The Blood"
Beat boxer stayed but his brother left the group and was replaced
Amazed that they didn't notice the G1s
This is the reaction you get when the cover is better than the original
Wish the video was bigger
Yes, he got older and changed his style a little (better in my opinion) but it's the same guy
Tim is a much better singer than Blake. The Baritone changed into a whole new guy, Adam Chance replaced Chris Rupp. The other thing they did was cut the arrangement down considerably and cleaned it up.
Yee Haw!
Hi all.
I think that by the time that I write this, you will already know that the "beat-boxer"-Adam Rupp, is still there. His brother, Chris
Rupp, left to pursue a solo career.
I wrote another book!
Sorry.
Thanx,
Mindy
Would love to hear Tim and Trace Akins sing a song together sorry if I spelled his name wrong been a while
He's a new member bc chris rupp left the band. So they picked.him up
same beatboxer Adam Rupp he problary change his appearance He does that occasionally
He looks far better with masculine hair. The stupid ponytail should never again see the light of day.
I ya
IT'S A FUN SONG !!!!!! It requires a sense of humor, love of DRINKING, LAUGHING, LOOKING AT HONEY BABES IN SCANTY CLAD SKIN TIGHT JEAN SHORTS ..... c'mon Bubba ! Get ya some !!!!! Sad to hear your reaction. GBjj

Adding in Chance, who is nearly as deep as Tim, gives their songs a new richness and depth that wasn't there before. Although I am sad to see Chris leave, Chance is an incredible addition to the group.
sad thing is.... I can't stand country music, but really like this group. Go figure.
