yes the aux1 is great amp. but you didnt comment on the aux 111 that is sitting on top of it and more expensive. I happen to have the 111 myself and have the other sansuis too. My take is that its never the amplifier alone. its a lot of work to put together all the parts of the chain to sound good and be harmonious. i also have a belief that tube amps sound more musical and solid state amps amps dont sound like tubes. They can only approach the tubes.
