This is a wonderful collection. The Basque Railway Museum in Azpeitia has one of the best railway collections in all Europe, including steam, diesel and electric engines, railcars and all types of carriages.This museum - of which we only show a few excerpts - evokes the evolution of this means of transport through 150 years of history. In addition, you can admire collections of railway clocks, machine tools, uniforms, lanterns and many beautiful train models.
The Basque Railway Museum, located in the garages and workshops of the old Urola railway in Gipuzkoa, is managed by the EuskoTren railway company, which is dependent on the Basque Government. Azpeitia is known in Europe for the sanctuary of Saint Ignatius of Loyola.
