maria fernanda it has been my biggest dream for my whole life...
Meltem Taner me too
MIT is overrated
ha yeah
@Senuka Abeysinghe I didn't say it was the best, I just said it was overrated

Princeton shouldn't be in this list of top 5. Cornell, Michigan, Illinois, and Carnegie Mellon could easily steal that spot. Just my opinion.
Agreed. Princeton is an excellent school overall, and of course prestigious but in terms of engineering specifically other schools could have taken no. 5.
I was surprised that CMU wasn't on the list
I'm surprised that Purdue and Georgia Tech weren't there.
Princeton is obviously an amazing place to study anything. But specifically engineering- Georgia Tech, Michigan, Columbia, Carnegie Mellon, Illinois-UC, Purdue, CalPoly San Louis Obispo, Harvey Mudd, Olin could all be there at 5
@@zainw24 Cal Poly? Are you sure? I don't know if a State college could compare to an ivy league.
MIT, Stanford, Berkley, Georgia Tech, Illinois Urbana-Champain, Carnegie Mellon, Michigan.
Where is caltech
Nice list!
Actual Top Engineering Schools:
MIT
Stanford
UC Berkeley
Caltech and Ga Tech
CMU
UMich and UIUC
Purdue
Cornell and Princeton
UT Austin
💪💪
I can't believe Caltech never gets the top spot in these types of things. I can't think of any other school that is more rigorous and has contributed more to groundbreaking science and engineering than Caltech.
What a joke, Caltech alum has 39 nobel laureates, 2.2 billion dollar endowment, and only 2000 students total. GaTech alum have 2 nobel prizes, 1.9 billion endowment, and 30000 srudents total. Caltech is definitely the better engineering school by any per capita measure.
Facts
What the hell? Why isn’t Georgia tech on this list. Lower acceptance rate doesn’t mean better engineering program bud.
Yes yes and yes
The only school Georgia tech would beat out on this list would be Princeton
Then it would still be top five like it should be
@@DeathReaper341 Not necessarily. Just cause one school is regarded as top 5 based on acceptance rates and rankings does not mean it would be the best for YOU.
I'd recommend watching this video on Engineering schools to get a clearer picture. ruclips.net/video/GUkEu1Z65Wo/видео.html
It’s criminal Rose Hulman and Harvey Mudd aren’t on this list. All this guy knows are the big name schools.
i go to georgia tech and i am offended
Andrew Hoyt well to be fair, this is about Top 5, not top 10.
www.usnews.com/best-colleges/rankings/engineering-doctorate
Trust me, GaTech is not a top 5 engineering school bro. Stanford, MIT, Berkeley, Caltech, are top 4 for sure, and 5th depends on your field of interest.
...And why should we trust you? Do you know something we don't? So for example do you agree that Princeton should be number 5 on this list and if so, why is Princeton a better engineering school than Georgia Tech? Otherwise why do you have such a conviction?
Easy, randomly sample an engineering student from any of those top programs and that person will likely have a much better career outcome than that from GaTech.
0:28 First off, you don't necessarily need to attend a "top tier" institution. Prestige is often not an important factor when it comes to Work after graduation and is only very lowly important when it comes to grad school. Make sure to go to a school that is accredited and works for you in terms of preferences and opportunities like co-ops/internships.
Secondly, I see that many individuals in the comment section are complaining about how school x is not on the list. To this point, I agree. Rankings such as those in this video and those you find on sites such as US news are often very inaccurate towards *your situation*. Rather than using such rankings, you should focus on
school size
school location
type of degree
goals after graduation
Internship and co-op opportunities
Case in point, there is no such thing as the definitive best engineering university. There are only universities that are the best for you. In truth, there are a lot of very good engineering schools. More info that is actually decent can be found in this video ruclips.net/video/GUkEu1Z65Wo/видео.html
Georgia Tech is ranked 4th on usnews so
Great video as always
What matters most when choosing an engineering school is it's ABET accreditation or other engineering accreditation's that it shares with these top schools.
Where the hell is Georgia Tech on this list?
Rose Hulman Institute of technology.
This is a more accurate list in my opinion
1. MIT
2. Stanford
3. UC Berkeley
4. Caltech
5. GaTech & U Michigan
Go Jackets..... 😎
Accurate
You forgot Princeton
Go jackets!
Go jackets.
lol Gatech people
Make it a series all most major majors in us and uk
How do you rate University of Minnesota Computer Engineering program?
I have a question about Geeomatic! Which uni is the best for studying this major?!
Caltech in Pasadena is about six hrs from Silicon Valley by car and 45 min to an hr by ✈️
Rose Hulman (#1) in Terre Haute, is about 1 hour west of Indianapolis by car. 2 day drive from Silicon Valley.
how is university of illinois at urbana-champaign
Carnegie Mellon????
Not for traditional engineering. Computer science for sure though.
@@bhowellrun Even for traditional engineering, CMU beats schools like princeton hahaha
Great video guys... could you please do a video on top 5 universities in the UK?
Shit video guys.
Background music from Joey badass 1999 👌
you should do top 5 law schools !!!!!
Caltech, MIT, Berkeley, CMU, Stanford, UIUC and Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech has a wonderful engineering department,
So does Rose Hulman Institute of technology. I heard it’s been ranked #1 22 years straight.
Where is the University of Michigan?
In Michigan.
Does any of the university mentioned offer Geomatic engineering?
Sir these university provide scholarship for an international students
Please tell us how to get into these colleges through sat exam.plzzz
What would be the top 5 aerospace universities??
Great video! I just subscribed!
Please shortly disscassion about civil engineering universites
Top 5 medical schools please :)
Do they have petroleum Engineering
Top 5 med schools next!
Harvard
Hopkins
NYU
Stanford
Idk lol
sport related course please ?????
I havent watched the video, but the top 5 should be: MIT, Caltech, Stanford, UC Berkeley, CMU (cause cs is a big thing now)
Hallow! That doesnt make it a good engineering school -.- Fifth shudve been tech, michigan, or purdue
My reasoning is that CMU seems equivelant to tech and purdue in most engineering. Michigan is better at mechanical/aero while CMU is better at CS, and I would give CMU the edge then.
Computer science deserves it’s own list, and Carnegie Mellon would obviously be on it.
2:36 Dolph Lundgren graduated from RIT, Sweden. Not MIT.
Brasileiros que querem ingressar em alguma delas, cadê vocês?
Please do medical schools next
I know this is a little late, but check back this week! -- Gus
How could you not include Carnegie Mellon???
Jonathan Ali ya ikr that’s the best for computer engineering even better than mit in this field
How could you not include Rose Hulman?
Can you tell me a university for car Engeniring in Chicago ... Thanks
Bobs Auto Emporium.
I just read the rankings. Best undergraduate engineering colleges rankings. US News and World Report rankings. If I knew how to put the link on here I would.
Hi Gus I am samarth a student from india i want to study Aerospace Engg. from USA so i want you to guide me to get into some best colleges with reqirements and eligibility criteria. Please reply if possible ASAP Thank you.
Sarthak Kaushik
If you are looking at the basic requirements for the best schools as an international student it would be as follows:
SAT: 1450+/1600
GPA: 3.9+/4.0 the scale might be different in India
A lot of extra curriculars including internships, research, volunteering, performances in olympiads or anything that makes your application stick out from the others
You might have to consider finances too because scholarships are hard to come by for international students.
Just supporting.
Make a video about medical schools
What about UVA, VT, Notre Dame, TAMU, UT?
Top 5, the title says
Yeah but it’s not the best. It’s his opinion. It’s a popularity contest list.
Berkeley represent!
WPI?
Where’s Umich at
Anyone have an idea as to where penn would be on this list?
Pretty low
Way below Rose Hulman. Which is #1.
WPI???
Where does Purdue rank?
Where does Rose Hulman Institute of technology rank?
Top 5 CS schools
ok but the SAME Calculus and Dynamics concepts I learned at my State University is the same crap they learn at these Ivy League schools.. except I have no debt lol
UW???
Purdue?
Rose Hulman?
well everything in california...for other people...not returning back there ever again..don't care....I would advise mit / georgia tech
How is Cal Poly San Luis Obispo not on here? Do top schools for a political science degree.
I’m from India ,
What’s the procedure to take admission in these universities
The school websites have admissions pages that explain everything.
Do more videos like this!!
More coming soon!
No. Don’t do more videos like this.
purdue? its literally top of the line for aerospace
Rose Hulman Institute of technology
Honorable/alternate mentions: Georgia Tech, Columbia, Duke, UMich, etc. (I probably missed some).
And otherwise in engineering and technology you have ETHZurich (Top 6 in the world) and EPFLausanne (Top 10 in the world) in Switzerland with almost free tuition fees (1700 USD/year in 2024). Now students from all over the world want to come and study there at the same level as the Ivy League, the Universities of California or OxBridge but for free!
I thought Cornell's better than Princeton!!!
it is!
It is, indeed
Definitely.
Rose Hulman Institute of technology
Not only the best engineering schools, but the best schools actually
Thanh if engineering is your jam, look at Rose Hulman Institute of technology.
I feel like Harvey Mudd should have been mentioned here
Roes Hulman? Anyone? #1 undergraduate engineering school 22 years straight.
Princeton universty
This list hasn't caught up with recent developments. If this was 10 years ago, I would have agreed. Today, a top 5 list without Georgia Tech isn't credible.
Kevin Mathew
You tell him...Go jackets!
It’s not credible because it doesn’t have the #1 ranked undergrad engineering school in America on it.
From experience Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute RPI is better than Princeton in Engineering.
That’s weird. Rose Hulman Institute of Technology has been ranked #1 undergrad engineering school in America 22 years straight. And what about Harvey Mudd?
Im sorry but Rose Hulman has not been even ranked top five in the nation for years. Purdue on the other hand has, yet he didn’t mention it at all which is crazy.
US News and World Report. RH #1 23 years straight.
@@bryanbaker5942 it’s not even ranked there now? I don’t see where you got that.
I copy and posted the link, but for reason I can’t find it now. Look at USNWR best engineering colleges rankings. It’s has Rose#1 and Harvey Mudd #2. Not sure who’s voting on these but it’s there.
You're looking at the rankings for undergrad-only engineering programs. The programs on this list also offer graduate degrees
How are you not gonna mention Carnegie Mellon
Hey
where's Cornell
He’s down at the corner sellin crack.
Go Berkeley
Go Rose Hulman!
Carnegie...
Rose Hulman......
Princeton , Harvard
Best law schools in the UK please :")
my message
Harvard ?
Wheres Virginia tech
In Virginia.
When they use a Joey Bada$$ beat
My boy Freddie Joachim
Cal Tech located in Pasadena California is in no way close to silicon valley.
And it’s not close to Rose Hulman either.
Sheldon Cooper left the chat*
You really didn't mention Carnegie Mellon? Its arguably top 3 engineering schools.
More like top 5 name brand schools..... Hey crimson education take a good look at the engineering rankings.
Rose Hulman Institute of technology.
Hi
Bye
Me living in Alabama and scared to be anymore than 3 hrs away from my family like- 👁👄👁
Auburn is also a very highly ranked school for English 🙏
HII sir would you like to tell us about the syllabus of the MIT unversity Thank you
Mohammad Asif Rang No
Where's Harvard?
Where’s Rose Hulman Institute of technology?
Where’s Rose Hulman
FINALLY! someone other than me mentioned Rose Hulman!
Italian highschools and universities in America
,From Cristoforo Colombo & Amerigo Vespucci.. the name Americo Vespucci gave its name to your great birthplace AMERICA
The United States must thank the old world as an export of universities. In the US the oldest college was founded in 1498 by Italian and Irish priests and nuns, sent by the Holy Office of the Vatican, by Pope Gregory IV
In the university rooms of the Vatican City one studied, almost all subjects, even today the Vatican Library holds the oldest books and manuscripts in the Aramaic and Latin language in the world, with formulas never solved, Fibonaci was the master of the most difficult mathematical puzzles , it is easier to open the Fort Knox safe than to understand the Fibonaci technique, All the safes of the world prune the Fibonaci combination numbers
The oldest university in the world is Catholic. It was founded in the year dominus 942 Parma, Bologna in 1008, the first 10 oldest universities in the world are in Italy, the most prestigious university in the world was and still today La Sapienza in Rome in 1482 the First woman to graduate was Elena Lucrezia Cornaro Piscopia in the dominus year 1636, The first University of Medicine was made in the dominus year in Naples, The first human autopsies in 1672. Italy has always been the cradle of culture even today Even the great Arab culture has given much to teach
In Italy there were women graduates or managers of banks and insurance companies, in Ameica the man still communicated with the smoke to the sky as
Native Americans
SIR, I WILL BE GOING TO COMPLETE MY 10th IN SSC BOARDS AND WILL LIKE TO MY FURTHER STUDIES IN USA TO DO MS IN ENGINEERING.
WILL YOU GUIDE ME PLEASE????
SORRY TO TAKE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME
YOURS KINDLY
CHINMAY CHAVAN
😂top engineering schools are the ones that you learned what you needed to pursue your career.
hii sir i am from india and my goal is to get admission in MIT plz help me how can i achieve my goal
Can we name less obvious better colleges please
Rose Hulman Institute of technology. The best.
Umich gang wya
You forgot what many around the world consider the best: Rice University
Rose Hulman Institute of technology
bullshit west point and Annapolis aint on here wtf?
Seriously?! If you need to watch a video on RUclips called " Top 5 ... Schools in the world " or something to know the schools, I really don't think you will get into any of them...It's just...real elite students do not need a YT video to tell them what are some good schools...unless you're still very young (by this I mean...under 12 maybe...?)
Or maybe some people are just looking for multiple opinions to confirm what they already know
What about Georgia Tech
What about Rose Hulman Institute of technology?
Who created this list, its bias.
Absolutely right! He failed to mention Rose Hulman Institute of technology and Harvey Mudd.
