I had my first Ablation 10 yrs ago. Unfortunately a new area is now causing A-Fib again. My option at 71 Way another surgery or medication. For right now, I’m doing medication. I have now diabetes, and and 30 lbs overweight. So for right now will give Pill in a Pocket a chance. But, in six weeks when I see my cardiologist we will make decision. My only real concern is when I had Cancer 15 yrs ago, I got a giant blood clot from my port up my neck. So fingers crossed. Hope I don’t have to to have surgery again. Medications: Eliquis , Carvedilol, and Losartan. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 oh and Pill in the Pocket, in case of attack!
Thank you, my mum has paroxysmal AF. She will much prefer the "pill in pocket" approach. Much better for her then taking anti-coagulants all the time. I wonder if you can take them same time as a beta blocker when a symptomatic episode occurs ?
Had my first AF episode a few motnsh ago. Low heart rate. Irregular. Successfully cardioverted. Take betas for precautionary reasons. Trying to figure out what device to get. Worried about vague readings or false positives. Have white cot hypertension pretty bad. Have a GERD relationship with the Afib -- caused by a cold drink that got stuck in esophagus and take a PPI.
Excellent presentation! Thank-you.
