  • In honor of food critic and Pulitzer Prize winner Jonathan Gold, the chefs traveled around Los Angeles and sampled the various restaurants and food trucks written in his 2017 List of 101 Best Restaurants, his final guide list before his death in 2018. The contestants were then responsible for creating dishes inspired by their visits.

When I lived in LA, back in 2018, that’s when I heard all of the fantastic accomplishments of Johnathan Gold, and how he was a “Man of the People!” Afterwards, I watched his Netflix Documentary, and learned everything about the man. A tragedy that he passed away before they got the chance to have him be a part of Top Chef, especially with how he’s influenced so many people not only in LA, but all across America, and possibly the entire Culinary World.
RIP Johnathan Gold, as We The People will keep your memory alive.

Jazz is one heck of a chef. She’s competed on Guy Fieri’s show and won.

I recognize the lady from the first restaurant she was on Guy's Grocery Games. I thought Jen would be in the top after hearing that great comment about her dish but I guess everyone didn't agree.

Maybe just Americans would recognize him? I’m Canadian and I’m a total foodie, and I have such a soft spot in my heart for him.
